Young hairlines?

I am 28 years old, new to this site. I am taking finasteride. I am about a NW2/NW3. I am looking for a doctor who produces excellent results with younger hairlines.

I have researched Hasson and Wong, Shapiro, Rahal and a few others.

I notice a lot of what they have online are megasessions with more mature high hairlines, this is not what I am looking for. I have a full head of thick hair besides my receding hairline.

Does anyone have suggestions for young hairlines?

Anyone with any experience in this matter?

THANKS!

Out of those 3 I think only Dr Rahal would do a young hairline for you, he's very good though, one of my favorites.

I have a young hairline, but only because I had it put on me when I was 22 and stupid. Not so bad at 28 when you can better evaluate your future hairloss, luckily I didn't have anymore hairloss and at 35, I'm a NW1, and it looks ok now that I was repaired by a good Dr.

I would suggest doing a lot of research and thinking about this though, once it's done, there's no good way to undo it. Pics would help, photoshop out your face for privacy.

I find in my search for the perfect hair transplant that a lot of doctors seem to place the hair line very high on individuals. These individuals being older men usually. ie Hasson and Wong post a lot of images of megasessions on older individuals where they have left the hairline high on the forehead.

I am looking for a hairline that is appropriate to my age. I have seen small amounts of these on most sights, mostly what I see are older individuals with grafts from 4,000 up. I am about a NWII, I need anywhere from 2,000 to 2,500 grafts.

Rahal is easily becoming my number one choice.

Since you are doing your hairline, Rahal is your best choice. He is very reasonable also.

Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily

Avodart 0.5 mg. daily

Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily

5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily

Biotin 1000 mcg daily

Multi Vitamin daily

Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? :D

All three clinics do excellent work and all three can produce a youthful hairline. It's going to be a question of what's appropriate for you in terms of your donor availability, family history of hairloss, and of course what you find to be acceptable and aesthetically pleasing. My advice would be to consult with all three if possible, and to work very closely with your choice in designing the hairline. Keep in mind you can always have another surgery if you wish to be more aggressive.

I think consulting with all three is a good idea as well. All great surgeons and you will get a lot of information to help you decide what to do and who to do it with.

If you have pretty minimal hair loss then I think all three of those clinics wouldn't have a problem dense packing your hairline. It just depends what you bring to the table.

Dr. G: 1,000 grafts (FUT) 2008

Dr. Paul Shapiro: 2,348 grafts (FUT) 2009 ~ 1,999 grafts (FUT) 2011 ~ 300 grafts (Scar Reduction) 2013

Dr. Konior: 771 grafts (FUT) 2015 ~ 558 grafts (FUT) 2017 ~ 1,124 grafts (FUE) 2020

Almost all docs insist not to fill your temple points too much. The reason all of them will give is that, it doesn't suit to your age(older age). I fail to understand this point. My father is 75 years old and he hasn't lost any hair.. .that means he still holds the hairline of a teenager.. and that doesnt make him look any ugly...

Make sure you explain clearly what you want. I suggest Dr. Rahal.

Hey man, I was in the same boat as you. I went to Dr. Feller, and had a great experience, and terrific results. He evaluated me, listened to what I had to say, and even let me design the hairline. You can read about my experience here (Scroll down for pics).

Good luck with everything.
