Best HT Surgeons in LA

Recommended Posts

Hi

Hoping that someone might be able to give me some recommendations for Dr's in LA. Mane has been awesome with info on Canadian Dr's and think Hanson and Wong look great but would like somewhere that is a little closer.

Also has anyone had dealings with Dr. Pathomvanich in Thailand ?

Thanks heaps

ES,

I would also look into Dr. Alexander in Phoenix. He has posted umpteen results here in the forum. Do a search and you will see a lot of his results. I had my HT with him six months ago - my results are encouraging at this point.

Good luck.

ES,

Like phxind I also had a HT with Dr. Alexander just over 2 years ago & I couldn't be happier. No visible scar to worry about & Great hairlines are what you can expect.

Do yourself a favor & take a 45 minute plane ride to see Dr. Alexander.

Some of the best physicians around LA have indeed been mentioned; and taking a 45min plane ride to Alexander is certainly possible. As well, taking a ____ plane ride to Hasson/Wong would also be an excellent idea to consider.

Ultimately, you should consult with a variety of clinics, not making geography a major factor in your decision making process until the very, very end.

1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. No flash.

Follicles have asked for centuries, in ten languages, as many times so as to confuse a mathematician.

Enough is enough! Give me documentation or give me death!

I am from San Diego and chose to take a short flight to Phoenix to see Dr. Alexander for my transplant. I flew back the next day around 11:00 am with a loose trucker hat on with no problem whatsoever.

I actually was in recent contact with another guy from LA who also chose to fly out and just had his transplant done with Dr. A.

Dr. Alexander is amazing. Two of my local friends just had their hair done with Dr. A after seeing my results over the past year and a half. His hairline work is phenomenal and the the scar is undetectable as stated by Atomic.

I agree with thanatopsis_awry. Geography shouldn't matter.

Hi All

Thank you for all your input and I finally took the plunge and ended up going to Hasson and Wong in Vancouver.

I feel I owe it to the forum and those that helped me to share with you my experiences.

In short H & W where nothing short of fantastic. These guys know their stuff, are very professional and quietly confident in their skills.

My surgeon was Dr Wong and he was great to deal with....made me feel very at ease and confident of the work he would perform would be first rate.

For those that are put off by the term "surgery"

I can rest assure you I have experienced more painful hair cuts than the HT procedure. Let me say again....there was little to no pain.

I am not the toughest character going around but I was able to watch 2 movies lying down, have lunch and at one stage fall asleep. I walked in at 7.00am and was in my hotel room at 1pm after having 2800 grafts. Although I was told I should take a few days to rest I felt ready to come home within 2 days.

If you go to H&W, Vancouver is a great town but rains heaps(everyday and night)...so suggest you go in Spring/Summer and have an extend holiday after the HT.

I can honestly say that I had little to no post op pain with only the staples put where my grafts where taken giving me a tight sensation....that was it!

It has been just on a month on now and I am starting to see growth and excited that all the effort has been worthwhile.

I will look to post some photo's when I can.

Thanks again to all
