Senior Member alix Posted May 27, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 27, 2011 Try to spend a good amount of time doing research. I'm talking at least a year. I spent three years deciding on my ht I've spent the past 5 years researching HT and looking at results on the web, had 2 HTs before.. but it seems to be getting more difficult to choose! Guest Ian512017155
alex: your right I shouldnt of stated they was overrated, that was a bad choice of words. I just think their is other clinics out their with just as good god work and price then them. But you choose whatever and whomever you feel is best for you. Senior Member Dutch Posted May 28, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 28, 2011 Posting videos proving real life results is a massive plus but its strange that some don't bother looking for these. I spent a year just looking for videos of patients to convince me about the results. Some ppl go to a surgeon they've never heard about before or haven't seen evidence to get them in the chair. What's money if you come out looking like a road kill  http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329
Senior Member TC17 Posted May 28, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 28, 2011 Although not the fault of either H&W or Dr. Rahal, when speaking about price and Canadian surgeons, you also have to consider that new Canadian tax and how that adds to the cost of the procedure. I've asked this before and have yet to receive an answer, but is H&W priced in American or Canadian dollars?
Senior Member bonkerstonker Posted May 28, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 28, 2011 American dollors which is good because canadian is strongest. Senior Member TC17 Posted May 28, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 28, 2011 So to make sure everything is clear, Dr. Rahal's pricing is in Candian dollars, whereas H&W's pricing is in US dollars. Correct?

Senior Member Dutch Posted May 28, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 28, 2011 Anyone who's been to Rahal can comment on the currency, I thought it would be USD. Yeah H&W price is in USD & that works out better slightly http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329

Regular Member DRoyal Posted May 29, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted May 29, 2011 I require 4000 grafts, I'm a NW5A, live in Australia and received quotes (last week) from both Rahal and H&W and there's honestly only a small difference in price. From all my research - it seems the advice from HT patients is not to worry about saving a few hundred dollars, but who's going to produce the best results. I'm leaning towards Dr Rahal, because I believe his hairline results are the most natural, I would really appreciate and welcome your views on who you think is best. If you believe it's H&W - which one? Many thanks DRoyal.
iatrogenic
I am trying to decided between H&W, Ron Shapiro, True and Dorin, and Rahal. Which do you recommend. Heard great things about Ron Shapiro. I am located in NYC so Dorin would be great. I have diffuse thinning of the hair.
Senior Member HARIRI Posted June 23, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 23, 2011 Rahal and Shapiro are relatively the cheapest among the mentioned ones . Maybe Shapiro is cheapest for having a 2% tax only. However If you want satisfying results and great design, then go with Rahal. Good luck. Senior Member orlhair1 Posted June 23, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 23, 2011 You will not go wrong with any of the choices you mention. Regular Member hypox Posted June 23, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted June 23, 2011 For a young patient below 30, who do you think can produce the best result?! HW & Rahal r the top, and it makes harder to decide to go to which one... Dr Wong suggest 2500 grafts to touch up my hairline and partly on the crown while Dr Rahal estimate 2000 grafts and leave the crown for medication to work on it.. Senior Member chrisdav Posted December 6, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted December 6, 2011 The two mentioned are two of the best globally, very difficult to differentiate and negligible difference. I would not hesitate putting my faith in either of them and find it silly people comparing them like this. 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.
Senior Member HARIRI Posted December 9, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted December 9, 2011 (edited) Rahal is $4 per graft up to 2500 grafts then goes down to $3 (Strip) PLUS 10% discount if out of town... H&W is $5 per graft up to 2000 grafts and then goes down to $3 per graft (Strip of course). I find Rahal is cheaper and could negotiate with, very flexible. Good luck. Regular Member kokosam Posted October 27, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted October 27, 2012 Dr Rahal's prices are no secret, although the discount once reaching a certain number of grafts might not be as widely known. The price is (as other have mentioned) $4 per graft, and this falls to $3 for every grafts over 2500. There is a 10% discount for those travelling from out of town. How much is FUE grafts? Thanks
Regular Member Altdot Posted October 29, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted October 29, 2012 I believe for FUE you're looking around $7.50 per graft so not cheap. 2000 grafts would be around $15000
Senior Member mav23100gunther Posted June 2, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted June 2, 2015 Anyone know what Rahal's pricing is these days? Still $4 per graft for FUT?
