  1. Looking good SP, My grafts are taking a shape similar to yours (4724 3/4 of the scalp).. I too see much more in my month to month picture comparisons compared to the day to day maniacal checking I do. Good growth to you looks like some serious thickening could be in the cards for your next few months!
  2. fat people can diet..bald guys are f*cked...thats what forces the hand, the fact that you can't bike the extra pounds off. Ok to clarify, most bald guys are doomed not all. Yes there are some bald guys that look great shaved, there's also a blind play by play announcer so go figure...the point is on average being bald makes you look and feel worse which can cause depression, stress, doubt, and a whole lot of other problems...So I agree with your point above Hoping get on the bike get some hair and get back what every "IT" is you lost...sorry for the ebay reference.
  3. Sorry Mark H missed this one, I think it would be interesting ...could be fun and very informative at the same. Internet is great but nothing is like seeing the real thing from people who share a similar predicament.
  4. Bill...Word Brother....Funny most bald guys I know (and we hang in clusters) are the most charismatic and compassionate people I have every meet...and they have to be my self included. What's funny is on average it is rare to meet a person who is good looking and also a good person. Ex: Jotronic (who happens to be a good looking guy with great hair-I'm straight those are just the facts)..My point is if he never had major hairloss I don't know if he would be as helping of a person, adversity and stress made him the mother terisa of HT. I guess when you go blind you do get your other senses enhanced ??“ but what happens when you "reverse the curse" are you left a superhuman?...No just a good looking nice person, very rare in this day and age.
  5. b-spot, I think he is wants to close off his temples some and add density to the current hairline not lower his hairline.. at least from what I read. At 37 with a consistent Rx regiment of 8 years he can afford 1-1.5k in his hairline period...yes I am gathering that from the one not so great pic we both looked at, but while he may not have a guarantee of future hair loss his case is as strong as any to get a little(not 3-5k armani style) hairline density if desired.
  6. Adverse ??“ one definition is undesirable Humans respond differently to the above, 4 my self it was less about what others thought or how they perceived my looks 2 be...even if that impacted my day to day negatively (i.e. yes like many other guys, if I date better looking women because of a ht-ala Troy then that's great...but not why I got it done). I look at it like this, it's in my Zen to appreciate aesthetics in nature, people, cities...I would rather live by the beach then by a dessert, I would rather have a clean house then a $hit pit...my point is simple I can clean my room (which I do for my self and not the girl I want to impress) heck I can work harder and move out of poverty to well well above the Mendoza line...but I couldn't bring my hair back to the Mendoza line.. well not until a few years ago when the strip procedures for all intensive purposes were taken to the next level or it got "kicked up a notch"...So why not feel better about my self and live happier? Should I intern become more negative that some of my best friends that went bald shaved their head and moved on and now live happy lives?...Are they better people, stronger, wiser, god fearing....? No they just respond to a certain predicament differently and there is nothing wrong with that. My felling is that it is better to have options then to not (heck I cashed my options out for my HT)...more power to the guy that likes his look all-natural and is confident... again to each his own it just wasn't 4 me if I had an option to exhaust. This just happens 2 be a forum for guys wanting an option for their hairloss (adversity in this case) so it seems funny for us 2 bitch about doing something about it...what ever our motives are. Funny as I wrote this, my boss who is the only one at my job who knows of my ht (I told him before good move to have one on your side), he was pissed that I was writing such a long non- work response...so to give him a kick I showed him the dove video (I do graphics/web work by the way)...he looked at me and said "your lucky you got hair now or I would replace you with who ever put that girl together." I responded with thanks... I guess
  7. with your age and hair loss level, I think you can if you desire 2 -beef up your hair line. I attached a nice hair line done by Dr.R 1600 grafts hairline only by Dr.Rahal-very nice work
  8. Bobman, In the past, I doubt a friend would lend you one -joking-...now just ask any girl walking past you in the street and she will lend you one.....Looking Amazing really unreal, read a response about a dr.feller 4k guy that some said needed another 3k to be like Bobman...uhhhh there is only ONE "Bobman"-you hairy bastard you!
  9. Funny I almost started with "Dude, it depends"... PC, What it depends on is three things, first how much native hair you have left-if you do not have a lot of native hair to come back and cover up the "weird" phase (days 1-60 for me) that all with shaven recipient areas will go through (regardless of doctor-via ultra refined method) your looking around 2-3months at least. Second how fast your hair normally grows -if you have slow rate of hair growth in general, lets say a haircut every two months vs fast -haircut every three weeks to a months. You should think more along the lines of 3 to 5 months vs 1 to 2. Finally your body's natural speed of recovery and skin color/hair contrast aspects will be pivotal. Some experience pinkness in recipient areas many months after their ht some have a red scar so you see why it depends. Me: Before: My last two years all under a hat I own at least 25, can't believe I have to find a box for them now...use to wake up and look for my hat...sad really. Day 1 -15 would not want to be out with out a hat, Sam Cassell any body? Day 15-30 looking really really weird (only scar/shock loss an issue by day 29 for me) Day 30-45 looking by far worse then ever...ahhhhhhh (bald wise) - the what have I done phase I look back and call it. Day 45-60 you can get by with out a hat but looks wise things still kinda suck Day 60-75 hat is gone looking better then before just not good and not weird -I'll take it Day 75-90 hat is gone and I'm less worried that some one will notice, almost fearless but not yet. Day 90-100 all good in the hood brother, I am going on a date this Friday and I am feeling fairly bullet proof.....man I haven't even thought that way in a long long time-Priceless. Day 100+ see what the future holds. Good luck to you PC, P.s Bill- you have really been giving back to the forum in the last few days since your third and possible last ht for a long time, thanks for the kind words and being a real person. I have really enjoyed your posts and wish you nothing but killer growth/healing, can't wait to see your crown in 8months or so.
  10. Landen, Posted that a while back, don't know why it showed up on three day delay. I will edit and remove it, any how I said in another thread my bad (I was being an ass I get it).
  11. Lance, Don't put all your weight in what forum members tell you in terms of what doc is better. If you go by the coalition list you will be choosing between some of the best period (most, myself included will tell you their doc of choice is the best-I am no different). After looking at your one pic, which frankly is not enough to make an estimate of what you need or have to give. I will say this, your only hope to restore a none balding look is via a Mega Session, and very possible that you may even need two (which again brings me back to your age, very very early in the game to plan so much)...My advise would be to see get a Rx for propecia or proscar if you respond well to it (your hair feels stronger and seems healthier in six months to a year) then you should think about a HT. Lastly from the current sample of large sessions(sorry if this is the pissing contest Hairbank referred to) patients I think only one Doctor has mastered the art in one shot(HTN veterans just my opinion and I am heavily biased look at my 94 days po pics and you will see why). Best of luck in your quest, again the more you ask the more you will know. bayscholar 94days po-Dr.Hasson 4724 grafts
  12. Lance, First let me say I have visited Copenhagen beautiful place...loved it. On to you, at 23 you are very young to be thinking about 5,800k graft HT, in that your hair loss may or may not be fully defined (posting photo's will help the forum help you). Take a look at the coalition docs on this site and see what some of them suggest as well second opinions can be pivotal. Dr. Armani gets criticized fairly hard on this forum for his ultra aggressive approach with HT on young men (mostly that he puts too many grafts into the hairline too soon in the hair loss process some feel he is not taking the patients future into consideration again a lot of this is very speculative). Most young men with advanced hair loss have a thirst for hair (my self included) just not enough water to quench that thirst if we don't plan it right (shoot even if we do we may not). With all that said, I still feel Armani's hair lines are world class (but so are those from Dr. Shapiro & Dr. Hasson and some other coalition docss... my personal three docs of choice were a_Hasson, b_Shapiro, c_Armani ??“I choose Dr.H). Keep asking questions proceed with extreme caution and research as many cases like your own as you can find. Good luck
  13. br, It would be easier if you grew your sides out to see what your donor has to offer you. jotronics site I would look at it if I were you
  14. Bill, thx your recent procedure with Dr.Hasson will give you what I expect to be amazing results. Your crown work blew me away and you look to have very strong hair. I had 4724 Grafts almost to the crown 40/45cm2 in the hairline I think I read in my notes and 25cm2 going back. MarkH, thanks if you look your post op pics and mine our grafts looked to be layed out kind of the same way. I also use Tricomin therapy spray (I like that product combined with nizoral once a week) Mrjb, thanks the hairline design was very important to me it is slowly coming in a little every week. John-in-nc Thanks as well, send me a Pm and I will send you more detailed pics of my side/temple work. Maki, thanks be patient yours will grow. I am using msm, and gnc multi called ultra hair(has every thing you could want for your hair but its pricey) Slick, thanks yo. By the way I looked at your pics which looked good and your hairline does look like mine used too. I would say you are my long lost blond brother. cheers bayscholar my blog has some post op pics
  15. I get mine from the raincoat guy..lol your a funny dude Mark H I must say. Nizoral @ CVS should carry the 1%, the 2% you need a Rx. But I have tried both and prefer the 1%.
  16. I use Nizoral 1%(1-2 time per week)and love how it leaves my scalp fealing. I used it starting 1month po and it helped with inflammation and dandruff. I plan to use Nizoral for life.
  17. Well I got my haircut feels good. I decided it was time to even out my hair, plus I wanted to compare my progress to biscuits at this point. I again thank Bushy & Biscuit for your blogs they helped me alot, and on day 94 I am finally seeing why my research lead me to Dr.Hasson....And as I forgot this when I originally posted-***special thanks to Jotronic with out his site well dare I say I may have been bosley pray. Any feedback would be nice.

  19. good point mark h, that was me responding a few days late to say the least. but it would have helped to see New PM!
  20. Johninc, I think I read more in your statement then there really was, my bad I was having a long week at work(I lashed out at landen on another post and I shouldn't have). Its Friday I've enjoyed a cold beer and all is better..thanks for the positive feedback. For my ht I really pushed Dr.hasson to give me more density and less coverage (go for two pass theory 3k and 3k)...but Dr.H said with my hair type and loss I would be happier if instead of 50- 60graftscm2(which he repeated to me was a ridiculous for me to even think about those numbers) so in the end I believe I ended up with 45 in the front and 25 moving back but I will ask Joe, I have been meaning to get in touch with HW and see were they think I am.
  21. John_in_nc, Disagree with you on this, if you are telling him skip meds get a HT your going to by a NW6 anyway... I would say limit your posts...that's crap in my opinion. If you get a HT with out stabilizing your current hair the possibility of extensive shock loss is very very great, further if you want to look decent as a NW6 you are going to need 4-10k grafts which takes a ton of money/time investment combined with the rare characteristics it takes to achieve that sort of restoration.
  22. Rogaine increases vascular blood flow to your scalp and can be helpful by its self, does it work better in conjunction with propecia...from what I have read yes. Rogaine while not proven to grow in the temple regions can help to keep some of what you have. In general HT and Rx- meds (fin and dut) go hand in hand, as your goal is to prevent further loss (or at least slow it down) and increase the time between procedures too as long as possible. It is almost impossible to have a HT before 30 and not need to go back for more work in the future that is just the facts. So at some point you will have to decide what is more important hair or not taking meds? It is what it is...there are some cases (search "biscuit")he had a HT with Dr.Wong and did not take fin and his results are outstanding, however he was much older then you and had most of his hair that was dht susceptible fall... you I don't believe have. Good luck, I am from the bay area and the docs local to our area are not that good...keep that in mind (look at the list of coalition docs on this site-no SF docs)
  23. FHOFH, Sorry as I did not mean to increase your heart rate with my post, as I too am on the long road to hair growth...be patient and postive it is best for growth. Yes you probably have a very coarse hair/thick shafts making your grafts harder to judge, hopefully it will give far more coverage then the two pics you posted did justice. You have the right attitude and realize at our age(which I think you mentioned is 28 me too) that another ht is very likely to get the results you desire. Lastly you should tell your wife to figure out how she wants your hair styled when it comes in. Good growth to you FHOH
  24. Fullheadofhair, Are the grafts only in the 1/3 region? I did not get to 1k let alone 1,800. I wish you the best but from your three pics I looked at day 2 & 12 I would hope some one with more experience chimes in on your pics. I have added a link below of a guy with some what of a similar case for you to view. look at these pics of Jagdish
