  1. I would have paid devalued US money to have Mel run her fingers through my hair. Jotronic, I can be in Vancouver anytime you need me for more street reactions from Mel . Salt-n-Peppa
  2. FWIW, I suppose that my crown came in about 50% slower than the front and top of head. What I had at 5 months on the front was about what I had at 8 months on the crown.....hang in there.
  3. alright, you guys are starting to scare me....if I had said Gene Simmons makeup ( alas, not the tongue though!!) rather than the effeminate Bowie would you have been so eager to see the look? Just kidding boys, I couldn't resist the drive-by assault. Nearly 6000 FU's on my head and 15 hairs on my lip. Cheers. S-n-P
  4. My experience is the corkscrew effect lasted quite strongly for 9 months and has gradually lessened the effect over the next 10 months but it is still present. I can get rid of it after a shower and grooming but it comes back if I brush out the gel and exercise hard. ( ie lots of sweat and head/hair movement). All things considered, I'll take this nuisance vs. being bald. FWIW, cheers all, S-n-P
  5. Another thought, I think from reading comments on this and other threads about dermatch, I use WAY less product than most. I use so little that you could not, from 6 inches away ,tell that I use any enhancements. So, while my technique of application works for me and my minimalist look, it might not be what you desire. Just experiment. On another note still, I like the product because I go to the gym daily, sweat like a hog too....... I have not experienced any dripping of the product. ( Just don't rub your head vigorously when wet!!) Thanks Glock08---I'm feeling lots of love here on this forum. A real live changing part of my life, Cheers all. S-n-P
  6. I don't have short spiky hair but I apply using my index and middle finger. Works much better for me than the foam pad that comes with the color discs. If you are using two colors, just wet your two fingers, rub in color #1 and then rub in color #2. You will have to experiment with how much of each color you apply. I really like the stuff, hope it works for you too. Cheers S-n-P
  7. Not sure I'll subject my porno 'stache to this tough crowd....but you need only imagine two long legged spiders hanging from below my nose. Certainly its no Tom Selleck manly growth. Thanks for the compliments though, coming from a veteran like you it means alot to me. When I get of my lazy butt , I'll create the weblog of photos so everyone can see my journey of the past 18 months. I think I offer a slightly different perspective than most here since I am almost 50 now. Again thanks Cheers S-n-P
  8. You are right Bill, I went underground for awhile. I wanted to emerge after my 2nd HT had time to grow in to a reasonable level. I can't state to you how much these transplants have helped my self esteem. I also want to give HUGE props to this site and the people on this forum. The collective and historical knowledge of these people who visit here helped steer me to a remarkable Doctor and now a remarkable transformation. IMHO, cheers bro- S-n-P
  9. I am trying to keep people guessing about my hair....right now I am going for a much longer look ( plus a porno moustache ). Probably in about 6-9 months I'll go much shorter as you suggest. As guys we tend to keep the same hairstyle from our mid twenties forever. My changing of styles radically, will hopefully make people forget my wispy hair of two years ago... plus I can change the porno 'stache to a soul patch!!! Maybe some David Bowie type eye makeup from his Ziggy days too!
  10. Mrjb, I have always had wavy hair, but the transplanted hairs came out wiry. As time passes, it seems to be settling down some. I also look forward to a little bit of thickening on the crown. The amazing thing to me is my pre HT pictures show me nearly as bald as a babies butt.......I have tended to forget, as time passes, that I have come such a long way since then. Perhaps my grey hair tends to mute the results in the pictures some, but I am quite thrilled with my results. I might have to change my screen name to mostly salt and a little pepper!!!
  11. My apologies, I thought my sign on screen would show......Dr Hasson did both of my transplants. I am very happy even though I'll never have as thick a head of hair as when I was 18.
  12. Almost 9 months after my first HT, I had my second HT. Therefore what you see is probably complete maturity of the front and mid scalp area ( my first HT). The crown, which grows in slow, is the second HT and is only 9 months old. NONE of the pictures use any hair gels, colorings, derma match etc. Also, none of these photos use a flash.
  13. Larry, I plan on posting new pics real soon. I am almost 9 months post HT #2 which was essentially all crown work. As you may know, the crown seems to grow in much slower than other areas of the head.............. stay tuned for my results. Thanks for asking. S-n-P
  14. Yo, good to have you back Bob. Your results are what insipered me to have a ( two actually) HT's. Curious, if for a possible 1000 grafts, you will shave your mane or have Dr Hasson work between the existing length hair?? Also, do you routinely use Dermamatch or other product to enhance you look?? Thanks bro, I look forward to your new chronicles. S-n-P
  15. I think there is a lot of wisdom in Glocks' words. I too wore a HCM hair piece for 14 years. There was not a single day in those years that I knew I looked perfectly natural for the hours I was awake!! ( not to mention the bedroom activities for a single guy...it would usually get interesting if the girl made an attempt to run her fingers through my hair). That is quite stressful. Having said that, I was VERY anal in keeping my system clean, properly styled and maintained. This required many more visits to my HCM office than most people are willing to pay. ( Remember more visits and more system replacements equals 'mo money!) Most of the time ( maybe even 90% of the time) I think you would not know I had a rug on my head, but that remaining 10% of time I knew I looked like crap and I was powerless to correct the hair for that day. I would strongly recommend that if you are a candidate for a HT, please do your research in that area not Hair Club or any other "system". Had I saved my money for the past 14 years I would be about $50,000 richer. Honest. If you go the route of a system, don't believe the hype of only having to visit the clinic every 4-6 weeks, you will look horrible if you don't go every 3 weeks ( my normal time for a haircut is about 2 1/2 weeks) . Also, if you are not replacing your system every 2 months or so, it will lose its bounce, shine and you can easily develop balding spots. Sorry to rain on your post but this is my experience regrettably. Good luck. S-n-P
