  1. Neil- You are correct. I had no right to chime in with the response I offered. My apologies. Jacob.
  2. Bill- My doc recommends it. Says very confidently that Minoxidil has accelerated the growth stage in his patients. That's all. BTW looks like you are going to get a really nice result.
  3. Neil- It's only 6 weeks so you need to suspend your critical eye for the next 3/ 4 months. This is really the worst time to start second guessing. You know the answer will be wait and see. Quite frankly there is no other option. Be fair to yourself and your doctor. Best Jacob
  4. Wow! Dr. Konior's result are impressive based on the photographic samples.
  5. Another factor might be your family history. Based on your description you ought to have an excellent result. The big question: Are you so unhappy with your recession that a transplant is worth the temporary financial, physical ( scars, shockloss, awkward hair) and psychological hardships... Will filling in those temples enhance your appearance dramatically? Best of luck!
  6. I had the exact same experience, 50-60 grafts about 3 to 4 days after surgery from an isolated area, right temple. I'd also be curious to hear other experiences and opinions.
  7. I've been walking around with a scar for the last month and one person mentioned it. Obviously you are not going to allow it be an issue for you! Enjoy the hair while it lasts ( 14-20 days). Soak your head in a sink a couple of times a day, warm water. Once the graftcyte finishes then you can apply the toppek to cover. I waited 13 days to remove sutures and when I did I went to my MD. The nurse that interviewed me before the doctor arrived spent 20-30 seconds looking at my head because she did not believe I'd had a transplant. Most people have no idea about hair transplants. Some of those hairs will walk and there is nothing you can do so don't sweat it. About 10-15 days you can start on the minoxidil.
  8. Don't scratch or bang your head tonight, put a towel on the pillow and keep your head up high. Keep the headband on and apply the graftcytle every half hour until you fall asleep.
  9. Apparently someone is not happy with her. Might be an opportunity for you HBT.
  10. Balloonman- You are on a search for perfection. I think you had a great result.
  11. Nice Result Damien! Compare it to the bloodbath your head was on day of surgery.
  12. HBT- It's early days yet. Surely you don't have growth at 2 months?
  13. Here is the link: http://www.lemormpi.com/physicians.htm Valid point by Follicular Slippage , I'd image over time having to add some gray.
  14. RMD I was going to recommend earlier that you go with the one with the best TV spots however I thought that a little too sarcastic. HBT is on the money. There are a couple of regular posters from Philly who will assist, I'm sure.
  15. I agree with 'Reverse The Curse'. Anyone in business will understand this perspective. A typical Surgeon's office must be in the range of $8-12k a week to breakeven, so loosing a customer or a timeslot is expensive. Feller did the right thing customer service wise but you've got to hand it to his Office Manager, he/she acted appropriately.
  16. It's true Hairworthy, I'm an Anglophile but it rains too much! England is a great country if you can afford to fly somewhere warmer every couple of months. I spent 90/91 in London. I propose tying a rope around the UK & Ireland and dragging them down to the Med. for permanent relocation.....Utopia! Eton or St Andrews? Had a boarding school education myself and used to get ridden for having a high forehead. What's most satisfying about the reunions is that some of these jerks are bald now ( mid 30s) and I enjoy having the last laugh.
  17. PRINCE WILLIAM FEARED BALDNESS PRINCE WILLIAM British royal PRINCE WILLIAM was once so paranoid about going bald, he would cover up his head with a baseball cap. However, tople he 22-year-old heir-to-the-throne has given up trying to cover his baldness because he believes people are indifferent to the state of his hair - and he's now confident about his receding look. William says, "I used to walk around with a baseball cap. "I don't anymore because everyone doesn't really care anymore. It's just brilliant." As for wearing a wig, he comments, "No. That's a different issue actually, but no, I haven't."

  19. Cannot answer all of your questions hairworthy...spotted it on a surgeon's website mixed with other cases. I'd image a skilled tattoo artist could do the same for $500 or less. It's a matter of matching the existing density and color.
  20. You really need a larger session, why plan to put yourself through this a second time and of course be disappointed with results, at least 2500 in the front will dramatically alter your appearance if you follow the contour of your current hairline. As hairworthy points out it is much easier conceal the back with toppik etc. Going with 1200 grafts is like painting half a wall!
