  1. Now you have a hairline! Just wait for a few more months for it to thicken up and you will look great.
  2. Completely normal! After 9 days the hair is firmly secure. You can gently rub off the crusts using a mild shampoo and your fingers. Don't rub too hard.
  3. TC17 no offence taken. When I read BeHappy's post , I thought he was being rude and It was a rather a personal attack against Dr Feller which was uncalled for. I told him to go to someone else because each person might have his or her own choice of a physician and If he did'nt like one doctor's views he was free to choose another. I am a patient of Dr Feller and can tell you Dr Feller's goal is to maximize the cosmetic benefit for his patients.
  4. That was harsh indeed! Dr Feller only offers the best advice to all patients who come to see him. He really takes pride in his work and patients results. If you don't like his advice go to someone else.
  5. Dr Arocha has been posting some impressive work on this forum lately and he is recommended on this forum so I think he should be a good choice. Of course do more research and find out what works best for you.
  6. Your Ht looks great dude. I had almost the same number of grafts and am one month post op. Heal and grow well.
  7. Dr Ron Shapiro is one of the best out there. You will be in good hands. As for the scalp exercises, do them! Believe me they make a huge difference. I did them religiously for 4 months and they make a huge difference on the surgery day as well as during the healing period that follows.
  8. nice look dude. You have really light hair. You might want to resize your pics though!!
  9. Yep the pics in that link clearly show he had a HT not a hair piece. Would'nt mind having a bad hair day like that!
  10. Doctor Bernstein certainly has a reputation for doing impressive work. The only problem I have with Dr Bernstein is that he tends to be way to conservative when planning a HT and rarely does more that 2500 grafts or so in a single session, this is good sometimes but I feel a doc should be able to maximize the number of grafts he can do on a patient without of course irresponsiblt front loading a young patient.
  11. Well his hairline in the front are all Transplants and it looks great. I know for a fact that he used some sort of Wig or hair system before. But now he has had a HT, and one of the better HT's on celebrities recently. Any idea who his doc is?
  12. Matthew McConaughey has had a HT. A very well done one too. Just do a google search and you can see a lot of his before and after pics.
  13. Well let me attempt to answer these questions. 1.The hair in your donor region is genetically programmed to grow throughtout you life and will not drop. The doctor usually takes the strip from the lower more 'meaty' part of the scalp(assuming this is your first HT). When you run your hand on your scalp the bump you feel is where the doc will probably take the strip. 2.5500$ is quite enough to cover the crown , assuming that the area to be covered is small. But since you are only 23 years old, the crown will probably open up further and then you will need another HT. I would suggest holding back on the crown and not doing a HT there till at least you are 30.
  14. I just saw Brendan Fraser on TV the other day and his hair looks great. I know he had a HT done because he was practicaly bald before that, any idea where he got his HT done?
  15. I have been drinking protien shakes reglarly for the past 5 years, that has had no effect on my hair whatsoever.
  16. In my opinion you have to play your cards very carefully. You do not have a lot of donor hair and therefore must plan the surgeries very carefully. For your situation I would personally recommend Hasson and Wong. These guys are industry leaders when it comes to doing large sessions like 4000+ grafts, they will fit your situation because you will probably need at least 2 surgeries of 4000+ grafts each. So get in touch with them.
  17. From what I have understood, a person's hairloss is unique to themselves and family history need not always be a part of it. For Instance a person maybe a norwood 6 but his brother might have a full head of hair. So before you take any decision I would consult with some top docs recommended on this forum and see what they say.
  18. Well what I would do if I was in your situation is I would first fill in the crown, that would probably 1000-1500 grafts, not more. I would'nt touch the front just yet because you have quite a bit of hair in the front and if you transplant through it now you will have major shock loss. So wait a while till you loose more hair in the front and then go for it.
  19. Unfortunately, your Hair loss looks pretty extensive to me and 200-300 will not even scratch the surface. You will need a minimum of 2500-3000 grafts in the frontal third. My suggestion is you can start seriously saving up for a HT from today and in a few years time you should have enough money to get a HT. Remember research is the key. Stick to this forum and do all the research you can, when you feel you a financially able then go ahead. Don't be in a hurry because a bad HT is much worse than not having hair in the first place.
  20. Well I don't know who the RW is but I know AF stands for Dr Alan Feller. I had my HT with him and can tell you that he is one of the best in the world, especially in FUE, I think his work speaks for itself.
  21. Looks great dude! You could start shampooing normally and the scabs should fall off pretty soon.
  22. Very impressive growth. You still have a long long way to go. Who was your doc by the way.
  23. First of all congratulations on deciding to have a HT. Dr Alexander has posted some very impressive results. Might I also suggest consulting with some other doc's before making your decision. Dr Sharon Keene is also in Arizona and does impressive work. The first few months after a HT are really hard. I am about one month post op and have to go around everywhere wearing a cap. This serves two purposes, one you really don't want people to look at you in a funny way and two , the first few months after a Ht, the scalp can be quite tender and you don't want to expose your head and the grafts to direct sunlight, especially the hot Arizona sun!!. But look at it this way , about 6 months or so after the surgery , when the hair begins to grow , you will look much better than you did before and have way more confidence with the ladies. So in my opinion 6 months or so of wearing a hat is a small price to pay for a great head of hair.
  24. Most people have enough donor hair to go in for a second surgery. My transplanted grafts began to shed about 2 weeks post op. May I suggest that if you ever consider having a second surgery , to consult with some top US docs before making a decision.
  25. I started using Head and Shoulders shampoo a couple of days after the Ht and felt fine. I guess its up to each one on the choice they make.
