Canadian I wanted to wish you the best of luck with your HT. I used Dr Rahal as well for my HT. It is great that you live in the area so you do not have to mess with flights, hotels, etc. As far as being a wimp with medical procedures goes the doctor will give you some pain medication so do not worry about that. If you have any last minute questions feel free to ask anything at any time.

I personally did not worry about paying 2 weeks in advance nor did I have a problem with it. I think that is how things are done for most cosmetic surgery. If you have concerns about paying some weeks in advance why not speak to your doctor and ask him what are his refund policies if you change your mind or something comes up before the surgery date?

Would you consider posting pictures? I only ask because I do not think its good for people to give too much blind HT advice without seeing where you are coming from. Does that make sense? I'm sorry your last one did not work out.

Even if you do not see much progress in the mirror you might consider trying to take pictures for yourself every month or so anyway. I say that because when I looked back at pictures they helped me see subtle changes that I did not pick up in the mirror so I bet they can help other people as well. LOL Eman I have tried to cut my own hair for years and I never do a good job. Some people are meant to cut hair but I do not not think I'm one of them, lol. I will try to get a new set of pictures up this week or next. I think my camera batteries are on their last legs.

I believe I paid $1000 deposit to set the date and the remaining balance 2 weeks before my surgery. So it was not a major difference for me. I thought that was pretty typical.

Thanks Petro. Happy new year to you as well. I havent really noticed any significant changes in my 6th month that just past yesterday. When I get a chance I will take more pictures. Thank you for your time Thanks for the interest. Let me give you guys a quick written update until I get new pictures up soon. This month I cut all my hair EXCEPT the transplanted grafts. Good news is I did not see my scar at all. Bad news is I'm horrible at cutting hair so it looked kind of goofy long in front and short everywhere else. Also my transplanted hair is much darker than my other graying hair. Its not a good look with 2 different colors. Once I'm out of my ultra cautious period I will use some just for men to make it all one color. Despite all this yesterday my hair looked pretty good. Then this morning I woke up and it looked pretty good as well. I'm in my 6th month. I still do have a few gaps and I still want more thickening but I can say that I no longer consider myself bald. I was just looking at some pictures of my much younger cousins wedding and I was thinking wow I have so much more hair than he does.

It is a very difficult decision for everybody. I had mine done a few months shy of being 42.

Summer hair....That was funny. As always I wish you the best of growing.

Have you asked your doctor about "completely shaving" your head? Has he told you there no worries in regards to messing up the healing of the recipient area and donor area? That would be my major concern but I'm extra cautious usually.

While hair is important to many of us I'm not so sure that he should put it above his beautiful wife and childs home. I think that is going a bit too far.

I like the idea that several doctors have had HT's done on themselves. It tells me they believed in the process.

Looks to me like you have a lot of hair.

Bosley is not a coalition doctor but I know he had one also. Ironically the doctor that did his HT spoke out against the Bolsey corporation on Dateline NBC I think

I think they have to estimate. I dont see how they could be exact. As far as the extra grafts go I think it would be a very bad idea to waste them whether a client has to pay for them or not. Some doctors do implant all the extra grafts for free. Some do some extra grafts for free and the rest of the extra grafts you pay for.

I had 374 extra grafts. I was given around 1/3 of them free and paid for the other 2/3

Predator as somebody that had once considered a HT with Dr Armani I felt horrible when reading this latest allegation regarding this contract. As you said some things may get out of hand in these Armani threads but I feel if this contract allegation is true that it is extremely important that people hear about it.
