  1. Am thinking of buying one of the two to help with the healing of my scar. Was wondering who has taken which one and how it worked for them? I also have a patch below my scar on my left side that has no hair, is this possibly shockloss around the donor scar? as this is the only area that has it, and is there anything I can do to help with that?? thanks in advance
  2. why do you think proecia was diminishing the possibility of having a kid? As long as your wife doesn't touch the tablets you should be fine. I know there is an article on here that talks about the risks of propecia and it says you can conceive while on it and take it while the woman is pregnant, just make sure the woman doesn't handle the pills, especially proscar since propecia at least has a protective coating. If you wish to read the article just do a search on propeica and it should be on one of the threads
  3. I think with some of these good docs on here who use the smaller blades and can dense pack without causing much trauma one session of 2800 would do great for the front, heck I had 2000 for the front 1/3 and it did wonders! went back in June and had another HT for the mid to crown area and cannot wait for that to kick in. Granted 2800 from front to the crown will look a little thin but if you just want the front done it will do wonders, and then later when your hair loss progresses you might need another HT for the midscalp to crown area. I think you always need to keep in mind future hairloss and whether you are willing to and have the resources to get another HT done
  4. looks great! you are going to have some nice results
  5. http://www.drfweinstein.com/content/services.cfm this your doc? micro grafts and mingrafts eh??
  6. I remember using dermatch awile ago but never really cared for it, I found toppik much easier, especially for the crown. Dermatch was always chalky for me as well, but back then I had really short hair so maybe that was my issue. I like Toppik cause I sprinkle some back in my crown area and then comb my hair over the area and it works wonders, for the hairline it is much tougher but for the crown it is great and takes me about 30 seconds a day to do. No real help though for the dermatch, just giving my opinion. Good luck
  7. as far as my own experiences this is normal, I am 4 weeks out and still feel a little sore back there, and had the same feelings after past HT's as well. Totally normal and can last up to a few months. Hang in there and just make sure to keep it clean and free of infection and you will be fine
  8. huh?? all we wanted to know is who did the procedure, haven't heard once of Pat banning a post cause someone mentioned a doc's name. Maybe he has but I don't recall it. post some pics and your progress if you don't want people one here to be cynical
  9. agree with Kamin, those are normal and not to fret, heck I looked at one of my wife's hairs last night that had fallen on my shirt and it had a white bulb at the end and she is nowhere close to losing hair!
  10. and the doctor is.......................................................????????????????????
  11. thanks, will start usingmy nizoral tonight and next weekend will be just over 4 weeks! I'm going to do a canonball into my new pool!!
  12. Am three and a half weeks post op and want to know when I can start using Nizoral? and does anyone know a good hairspray with no alcohol in it? thanks! all my little guys have pretty much abandoned ship and am currently going thru the awkward stage with buzzed hair that is shorter than the front, but other than that everything is good! Oh ya, one more question, anyone know when I can go swimming again??
  13. pics area blurry but I still think you can see a huge difference! and at 3 months there is still much to come, you should be ecstatic! congrats!
  14. After my alst HT I had some times where it felt a little itchy up there, never any pain though. And the statement about gradual growth and not even realizing it is growing is so true! I can obviously see the difference now but during those months I would stare into the mirror trying to see new grwoth and stubble and never really saw it, but after 5 months I realized how much had grown! Crazy, but it's like watching grass grow, the best thing I ever idd was stopped looking in the mirror and that's when I noticed the growth
  15. Sad night last night as the dreaded shock loss has begun. I noticed quite a few short stubble hairs coming out along with quite a few longer hairs, sigh....but I know it's all good cause that menas things are progressing as planned but it always stinks to see all those babies go as well as some other hair, the ugly phase has begun and hopefully will fly by fast this time. The good thing is since all my hair was transplanted on the top can't really see it unless I use a couple of mirrors, so just gonna have to keep that second mirror away from me!hehe.
  16. I tried it, did nothing but the shampoo and conditioner are pretty good but not worth the money
  17. Hey Bill! Good to hear from you and congrats on going with Hasson and Wong, you won't be disappointed!
  18. lol, very true! but look at it as starting the cycle sooner therefore getting your new hair sooner, lol
  19. Was curious as to know when after a HT you can start washing your hair normally, not with the cup and soap anymore. At what point is best to let water hit your head again?

  21. congrats faceless man! I am a little behind you, being at 5days post op now. I had trouble sleeping so I just said to heck with it and lied on two pillows brushing against my face, staying clear of my midscalp where I had my grafts. I got a little swelling on my left cheek but nothing that bad and is gone now. I just made sure I didn't rub my grafts against a pillow for the first 3 nights, didn't see any damage as I checked my bed and pillow the following mornings so looks all good! I know what ya mean by the staples or sutures in my condition, cannot wait for friday to get them out! My doc likes to get them out after a week to help minimize scarring from the stitches, but am waiting as when I lie on the back of my head I get some aching pain around the donor area and I know the stitches make it worse! Get ready for all those babies to fall out and start the waiting period for growth!
  22. well I meant tissue, geez not a doctor!
  23. my guess is you're fine, if all u saw was a scab you should be good, if you lost a graph you'd see a follicle
  24. ya, my doc told me that after 3 to 4 days your grafts are in to stay, so just the hairs falling out like they are supposed to, if it was a graft you would have most likely seen some bleeding
  25. from my personal experience I had a couple that didn't jump ship and stayed as stubble for a couple of months, then they grew right along with the ones that did fall out
