  1. Hi mate , like has been said , smoking and stress won't help , but it is simply down to genetics bud , you are suffering from male pattern baldness , and it totally sucks man . I'm from the UK , avoid the UK clinics , get on meds , its saved my crown and with the two HT's I have had with Dr Feller has given me a decent head of hair , I am no longer the balding guy . I take 0.8mgs of finasteride per day , I cut 5mg pills into 6 pieces , check out all my links to older posts below , loads of info and advice on how to cope and ultimatly take control of this curse of male pattern baldness . I get my fin from ukfinasteride online , check it out or contact spex , quick and easy and and I feel it is really the only thing to work well to stablize your hairloss . http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/166654-richie48-uk-patient-dr-feller-ht2-6-month-pics.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/155471-dr-feller-uk-patient-richie48-then-now-two-year-trip-meds-9-month-hair-transplant.html This is my kit , nothing out of the ordinary , standard pill cutter , standard daily pill box , 5mg finsateride , and cut neatly into 6 pieces , easy , without fuss . This is a standard , bladed pill cutter which can be purchased from any high street chemist for 2.99 UK pounds . This is a scaled close up of my 5mg finasteride tablets cut in 6 pieces , with an uncut finasteride tablet on the right of the picture . I buy my finasteride from a very respectable online source , spex also uses the same place as do many other finasteride users , they sell propecia , proscar and finasteride , so there is a wide range of hairloss medication to chose from , and to suit all pockets . 2. Hey Tom selleck hahaha I posted some good quality close up pics a few years ago , please take a look at the link below , it may help you with your desision . I have always had longer surfer scruffy type hair styles , so for me it was an easy choice to make , I wanted more hair with the most yeald , and knew I would grow it out to cover any linear scar . Take a look http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/144292-dr-feller-uk-patient-richie48-new-close-up-scar-pics-trichophytic-closure-scaled-pics.html good luck Richie
  3. El nino , Hi bud , hope your well , with HT2 we didn't put all the 2100 grafts into the crown again , so I havn't doubled up on density . The placement with HTs was specifically desighed to hit weaker areas , both temples where subtily tweaked and reinforced . The natural parting down my right side was also addressed and we took more grafts into the weaker right side from HT1 . Your density will still be the record bud , I estimate the four ares recieved approximatly 500 grafts each just to strenghen what I already had , again this was a long term goal , one thing I have learnt with HTs is to always have a long term plan . HT1 was 2100 into the crown with the left side growing out the best , the right side always was a little weaker . HT2 addressed the temples , natural parting and into the crown with another 2100 grafts . Total graft count is approximatly 4200 , I used to have a large balding head , you could no longer even see my double crown , my temples where starting to meet with the crown and I was bald on top , now I am no longer the balding guy ! hahahah which I am truly grateful for . I actually have enough hair to have cool styles and colours and even enough density to grow it longer which can kill some HTs . Hey Spex , how you doing guy , sick in there and ignore the trouble causers ,you're a top HT guru with all the knowledge , and I wouldn't be where I am without you , so thanks again pal . Richie
  4. Hi Most of you know me , been researching HTs since 2005 , taking finasteride since 2006 , I have had two HTs 4200 grafts in total I'm very happy so far with HT2 , search my user name for older posts documenting my progress from Two HTs with Dr Feller . This progress helps comfirm I made the right choice to stick with Dr Feller . For newbies reading this from the UK , give Spex a ring , top guy with all you ever need to know about HTs and saving your hair . 2100 crown grafts nov 2007 2100 crown and temple grafts jan 2012 This is 6 months after my last proceedure . Below are some of my other older posts , thiese will help you to see where I have come from , if you aren't aware of my progress . I hope this helps guys understand what can be realistically achieved with a world class surgeon and a long term plan . http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/165983-richie48-uk-patient-dr-feller-hair-transplant-2-4-month-update-pics.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/164664-richie48-uk-patient-extreamly-close-pics-dr-fellers-grafts-placement-naturalness.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/164235-richie48-dr-feller-uk-patient-new-short-hair-pics-round-two-jan-2012-a.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/163760-dr-feller-uk-patient-richie48-2100-crown-grafts-2007-2011-brand-new-update.html Hair Restoration Site for richie48 Richie
  5. Wow man !!! have you even read this post from begining to end ? stay away from this company , stay away from groupon , are you seriously nuts ? READ THE THREAD AND TAKE IN WHAT PEOPLE WITH EXPERIENCE ARE SAYING HERE ! JESUS WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ? richie
  6. Hi I've been on reading this site and others since 2006 and a member since 2007 and I've had two HTs with Dr Feller , been throught it and come out satisfied on the other side . One big thing I have found in all this time is ............. "if it seems too good to be true , it almost certainly is " ......... Every year there seems to be a "new proceedure , better than before" ........ It usually turns out to be just a gimmick and ends up being Stip or FUE . I've been and had a read about this HST procedure and , if you read between the bullshit , it only really says REDUCED SCARING . It is not a "cure all" , it is just another "remove a follical or part of it and replace in another part of your scalp . And you can be sure that if you have this proceedure the clinic will have you sign a discloser , and somewhere in that disclosure it will state " sometimes scars are inevitable and this clinic will not be held responsible blah blah blah blah ........... Please don't be nieve , just go consult with some recomended HT surgeons with quality history and documented online patient cases . Sparky , buddy , we can scar even in the womb , you know the part of skin above your top lip but under your nose , the part in the middle where a moustashe parts , that is a scar from when our nose cavity and pallet form as a growing feotus So if god can't even stop scarring in the most natural enviroment on earth , a womb , what makes this clinic believe they can do this proceedure without scarring ? I once saw another clinic offer "scarless hair replacement " , it turned out to be a wig !!!! hahahaha good luck richie
  7. Hi bud Sorry to hear you feel you have had a bum deal but is does say clearly on Dr Feller's website " non-refundable deposit ". It also sounds like Dr Feller , Dr Linsey and Spex have tried to accomodate you on several occasions without sucess . I have had two HTs with Dr Feller and have been dealing with Spex and Dr Feller since 2007 and have found them both to be respectable and honest . I feel after this amount of time maybe you should notch this up to experience and maybe stop wasting your time and your energy dwelling over this any longer , you will only suceed in upsetting yourself further . Richie
  8. Buddy forget chasing the old company , unfortinatly you may just have to put this down to experience and move forward . Get in contact with spex and get him to give you his opinion . richie
  9. Looking great mate well done To echo whats already being said , the sucess here is that you simply cannot tell you have had a HT . Thnats what a sucessful transplant should be measured on , a natural improvement over our balding or thinning situation , I'm very happy I chose Dr Feller and I'm right on the crest of a wave with my own HT2 , my hair is slowly starting to look better than when I started this jouney in 2006 . Great stuff ! richie
  10. mint mate , very clear pics in the harshest of conditiond really do show a top class job . 7 months is no time at all bud , but still very good results already . nice one , well done richie
  11. save hair I understand what you are trying to achieve with this thread and poll , however I'm worried you may be setting yourself up for a disapointment . HTs , if done properly with a top world class surgeon can be life changing for the better , but you will struggle to find any HT patient who has regained 90% of his hair , HTs are about the ......................... ILLUSION OF DENSITY ............. All you are going to do with a HT is ............ REDISTRIBUTE WHAT HAIR YOUR HAVE LEFT AND STABLIZED ON MEDS OVER THE BALDING PARTS OF YOUR HEAD ............. Sorry for the caps lock but this is a very important part of understanding what can be achieved , my two HTs have made me very happy so far , I have control of my hairloss and taking back control is what make most people happy about keeping a hold on there hair . My hts have given me back my freedom of chioce over my hair style , which I feel was always part of my identity , but I still only have , approximatly 75% of my hair , no where near 90% , I had lost about 50% of my hair when I had to accept I was going bald , meds helped regain 25% , the rest was redistributed over the thin areas by Dr Feller . Two HTs and meds , bit of styling wax and my hair looks thick and cool again , even when it was long , this is all an illusion buddy , but still better than being bald or thinning and losing the control over hair style . Please don't expect 90% of your pre loss look , you will be setting yourself up for disapointment . I have voted and I hope this helps bud richie
  12. Looking great bud Good choice of hair cut , young , but not too young , compliments the HT work , really suits you and the pepper pot colours adds density , very good and well thought out . Million times better , enjoy your new barnett bud hahaha great to see richie
  13. I started with the belgravia center in london in 2006 , I payed them 250 uk pounds for 3 months supply of propecia and 12.5% minoxadil . The propecia and 12.5% minox helped restore some of my hair , I felt in 2006 I had lost 50% of my natural hair to male patern baldness and the propecia and minoxidil helped give me back 25% of that lost hair , and certainly improved the quality of my original hair , so now I had 75% of my original hair . The minoxidil was a pain to use , making my hair greasy and my scalp sore , I rung the belgravia center and they recomended to stop using it , after that I only payed 150 uk pounds for the propecia . At this time I asked my local GP to soucre my propecia , she had no problem with this however the price was the same as the belgravia clinic . I had now been educating myself online and had a few converstaions with spex , he provided me with details to buy generic finasteride at 150 uk pound for 12-13 months supply , I cancelled my order and no longer used the belgravia center , my "provider" at the center was a little abrupt with me , so I lost no sleep by not using the belgravia center again . I now only take 0.85mgs of finasteride every day , I cut a 5mg generic finasteride tablet into 6 pieces , and my hair has never looked better since I took control of my male pattern baldness . Finasteride helped me retore my hair over the top of my head , I have had two HTs with Dr Feller since then , totaling 4200 grafts . I hope that helps richie
  14. HI With both my HTs with Dr Feller I experienced , numbness and slight swelling that lingered for up to two weeks post op , the swelling will go first after a few weeks , try not to worry . Also , like you said , due to it feeling numb you will have a sensation of the area above the strip scar feeling swollen , it will just not feel "right" for some time after . I am currently 4 months post second HT and the numbness above the scar only returned to feeling "normal" in the last month , it lingered more on the left side of my head behind and above my left ear , so even as the feeling returns it will not be uniformed , and one side may heal or return to "normal" quicker than the other side . I hope that helps bud richie
  15. Hi I've been on finasteride for over 6 years and , like Dr Charles has stated , I had a very definate decrease in body hair . As my male patern baldness increased my girfriend and I noticed more dark couse hairs on my back , a fore arms and the back of my hands . After starting on Propecia , then changing to Finasteride the few dark couse hair on my back disapeared and my hairs on my fore arms and backs of hands became less and also softer . We felt this was more of a return to my younger body hairs , I have also noticed a slight watering down of my seamen , and we believe I have become more of a thoughtful , calmer person since taking Finasteride . Thats all I can say really , I hope that helps . richie
  16. Hi bud As chris just said you won't go wrong with Dr Feller , I have been with him twice , and spex is a great guy too . Your mate is doing the right thing too , going with a top surgeon with a proven track record time and time again . Good lads and welcome to the forum richie
  17. That was one nasty boil , I hadn't had anything like that with HT1 so it kinda worried me for a while , it's healed up now but took a good month of scabbing over before it healed itself . Thanks guys , i'm know I'm past the crappy , ugly duckling dull drums stages now , and I know whats coming and boy am I getting excited ........ hahahaha Because I've had a subtle tweak to thicken what I had , which to be honest was pretty good any way , it's more fun this time around just letting it get thicker and looking healthier every week , it may not have the wow factor of some of the higher norwood scale HTs but don't we all strive to have the "undetectable improvement" ? Roll on the next 8 months and I will update every few months , nothing happens for the first four months anyway hahahaha . richie
  18. Sorry about the pic sizes and views , I'm usually better than this but photobucket seems to be having an off day with me today . It should be ....... ht1 results x2 ht2 work x2 the boil ! x1 straight out of bed x3 clean and washed x3 bit of wax on x3 hope you can all see them ok richie
  19. dull drums do suck buddy , but not long to go now and you'll love every minute of your hair explosion !!!! good luck richie
  20. Come on spex lets have this guys pics up ........ I want to see the work for the 3400 grafts richie
  21. Hey man Like spreadlocks said , great write up , you will be set now , just get something to do and occupy your self for the next four months because the dull drums are slow and shitty hahahaha good luck buddy
  22. Hi all This second HT has being a lot less worry than the first , once you know it will work and you've picked a top class surgeon , it makes all the anxiety a lot lot less second time around , and apart from wearing a beaney and making sure I was covered up for a few months , I have relatively forgot about my HT and got on with normal every day things . Here are a few pics at the four month mark , I've started to have some new growth , a few spots and a massive boil caused by an ingrowing hair , unfortinatly it goes with the terratory I'm affraid , so right now I'm pretty much back to wear I started from before HT2 . HT1 was 2100 crown only grafts in 2007 HT2 was another 2100 grafts , this time in my temples , along my natural parting and into the weaker right side part of my crown . Dr Feller is very good at this and uses the graft placment for the most effective way of utilising our finite grafts supply for maximum illusion of density and look . RESULTS OF HT1 HT2 Ouch big boil from an ingrowing hair !! Straight out of bed after 4 months . Washed and dried With a bit of wax on . I hope you guys understand what can be achieved wuth a good HT from a top surgeon like Dr Feller , my hair looks better clean and with a bit of styling wax run through it , even a guy with no hairloss will put a litlle wax on clean hair to make it more cool or to funk it up a bit . I'll update again after some a few more months , at the moment I have new little hairs growing all over the recipient areas and I can feel the slight itching of new growth , I'm right at the gates of a hair explosion hahahahaaa richie
  23. that looks great so far buddy , your hair looks well thick on top in them pics . thanks for keeping us updated richie
  24. Man you guys are harsh , irishsailor doesn't owe anybody any pics at all !!! The guy come on here of his own free will to help the community with his time and pics . It's four months for fuck sake ! , what the hell do you expect , fully grown out rock star hair ? Man you're a tough crowd ,it;s not like ther,re this bad ........ Yes the pics are darker , so what , look through this site for 10 minutes and you will find loads of shit dark far away pics of supposed fully grown out hts , posted by clinics even !!!!! Give the guy a break he took the time to post his pics , not studio glossy brightly lit photos but quick ones when he found the time ,he's not claiming to have the best ever transplant but just show some progress at only four months and there is clearly an improvement , even in the darker pics . You guys should be thankful that he even took the time rather than jump on his fucking case , jesus christ I don't see you policing the forum at every shit pic what gets posted ! Even with the dark pics bud , I can see an improvement for four months , please keep us updated on your progress , that is if the narrow minded dicks haven't put you off hahahahaha Good lad Irish and be proud to be in the armed forces and not some cyberspace knownothing getting fat and bald behind a pc screen . I did my own guild on taking pics on here years ago take a look it's mint hahahaha ..... http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/146274-kiddies-guild-hair-transplant-pictures-no-more-excuses.html Hahahaha richie
  25. Chrisdav ..... Hi bud , its going well , I totally shed and my own hair has mostly grown back in , where we transplanted into the right side of the crown has taken a hit , it looks thin at the moment and is very slowly returning to pre HT2 condition . My temples are not really noticable , it just looks like I'm having a bad hair day , I was suprised at how grey I am really after always colouring my hair hahahaha . I was busted the other day , at work and have been wearing a beaning all the time , one of my buddies whipper off my beany and said fuck me bud whats happened to you hair , I just told him I had been off the meds , they all know I take meds for my hair , had a bit of stick but they all shut up when my hair grew back hahaha , anyway I said I come off the meds for a bit while trying for a baby , they bought it , dickheads In the mean time I have already got a few new colourless spikey little stubbly hairs and pimples popping up on both my crown and temples which is encouraging at 2 months , the first HT took ages to grow in , but this time I have healed alot better and a lot quicker , and have had some very early signs of new growth . I have had some of my original hair ,probrbly from shock , start to grow back recently too in the recipiant areas , the scar is great , healed very quickly but with a little lingering redness , it feels almost back to normal , it was a little sensertive to touch at first , but now after 8 weeks it feels the same as the rest of my scalp . I took the pic a month ago , it was something on sky news . richie
