  1. Hey elmarkio Buddy you're setting yourself up for a disaster here , Firstly , 2750 and you don't even know much about the guy who is about to cut you open and slice the back of your head then stick grafts back ito you scalp !! Sounds easy doesn't it ?, sadly not all surgeons are equal , I have been researching this shit since 2004 , and had two HTs with one of the best , and I have yet to see any clinic is the UK match the top guys in europe , canada and north america . People metion the farjos but there aren't even on the same page man !! This london clinics , guys you're being seduced because it says london on the address , this is bullshit and not to mention where is the grown out results online ? Ziering is also bullshit , it's a "HAIRMILL" , you won't even get to know who your surgeon is , this company is like mcdonalds IT'S A FRANCHISE !!! any old doc will be working on your scalp !!! Jesus what is wrong with some of the guys who come on here ? ....... every week I have a catch up and I see the same old mistakes over and over again !!! For christ sake this is surgery !!!!!! YOUR HEAD IS GOING TO BE SLICED OPEN , CARE HAS TO BE TAKEN FOR NERVE DAMAGE FOLICAL TRANSECTION , SHOCK LOSS AND THE GRAFTS HAVE TO BE IMPLANTED WITH SKILL , ORIENTATION , DEPTH , ANGLE , NATURAL SWIRL , NATURAL DENSITY ............... THEN THERE IS THE TECTS ......... DO THE TECTS DO THIS DAY IN DAY OUT , DO THERE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING IN TERMS OF ORIENTATION , DEPTH , ANGLE , NATURAL SWIRL ????? People always talk about the docs , but the tects put the grafts in , do you understand this , shit tects means shit HT !!!!!!!!!!!! And all of this has to be done in a set time because the folicals will DIE without a blood supply , dead folicals means no growth , infection risks and a big fat waste of money !!!!!! Then there is the emptional effect of being butchered , low yeild , a scar , loss of control of ones situation , no more money , no more donor , no more shave it all off . For fucks sake people do some research , meet with patience , oh but it may be difficult to meet patience , bullshit , make time , this is for the rest of your life , make and break right here right now , this is it , get this wrong and you will be sorry , you will regret it . Save your money up , and then go see Hasson and Wong , Dr Feller , Dr Rahal or Dr Bisanger . Your head , your risk richie
  2. You have had some great advice from the guys above Alarm bells ring when posts have the word "cheap" in them , a "cheap" job will leave you with a mess to sort out at even more finacial and emotional cost . The top ht surgeons charge what there charge because they can , because they are very good at what they do , which is reflected on to you with a natural , well healing and realistic looking proceedure . To echo whats been said before , if you can't afford it don't enter into this ht world , it's just not worth the risk , there is no going back , even with fue , ok you don't have a smiley scar but you could be left with unatural thick dark sparsly spaced hairs , with out much coverage , you can shave but it'll never look right . This is an fue transplant shaven down , this was taken from sky tv Get on meds and save until you can afford the best . richie
  3. This was my crown before my first HT of 2100 grafts in November 2007 . I have recently had another 2100 grafts , again with Dr Feller in January 2012 . Below is link bud http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/164593-richie48-dr-feller-uk-patient-round-2-another-2100-grafts.html richie
  4. alix ! Those pics are ace , where did you find them ? hahaha I agree with dutch , it's not a failure , he's good for 8 months , I feel these are the most honest pics we have seen on here so far , work looks natural . Dutch , from these pics i can't be sure of concealer , right at the front looks like clean hair , I think he deffo used concealer earlier in his time line , he may use it now but I can't tell from these pics . ace pics though ! hahaha richie
  5. Hi bud , you are fine to start wearing a woolen hat or beany now . I had a proceedure done on jan 9th , after 12 days I was wearing a beany no problem . richie
  6. Wow gatso This explains why you had such a strong opinion over my post on the other thread . I have taken branded propecia first since 2006 , bought from the Be1gravia Center in London , in 2007 I started to take generic Finasteride, supplied by another male GP , cutting 5mgs into four and taking 1.25mgs daily , then cutting them into five pieces and taking 1mg daily , now I buy it from an online Pharmacy in the UK and have reduced my dose to 0.8mgs daily by cutting the tablet into six pieces , with no noticable hair loss . I train in the gym three times a week , 30 mins cardio and 30 mins on light weights , because of what I do I have to remian light but lean and strong . I'm not going to deny there are side effects with every drug , and I can't make you believe me , but I honestly havn't had any of those servere side effects you describe . I have had the following , watery seman , less hair growth on my back and the back of my hands , my girl and I also feel that since I have been taking Finasteride I have become more of a calmer , thoughtful guy , even seemingly having more concentration , this could just be coincidence but it's something we have noticed since I started on the meds . Wanting to start a family , and being aware of the fertility concerns around using finasteride , I went and had everything checked , testosterone , thyriod , sperm count and sperm mobility , I even had the acrosome enzymes checked , this is what the sperm uses to break into the womans egg , I had my prostate chacked at the same time by my local GP who knows I take finasteride and has even priced it up for me to buy from her practice . So after taking Propecia and the finasteride for 6 years branded and generic , bought from three different legitimate suppliers ..... Testosterone was at normal levels . Sperm count was 140 million (20-200 million is normal) Thyriod was normal , they checked this twice with two seperate blood tests . Sperm mobility was good . Sperm volume was above average . Prostrate gland size was normal . Acrosome Enzyme came back within tolerance . We havn't been caught pregnant as yet , my girl has been fully checked also , but she has also taken two different types of contraceptive pill over 10 years and this may be to blame , again it changes your hormones , and until we are caught pregnant I do have a small nagging doubt at the back of my mind , but I can do anymore than I have done to educate myself , and be honest with myself over using meds . I have tried to be as honest with you as I can be and I will admit I tried in recent years not promoted the drug , but only tell people my experiences with using it . I said this before and I will say it again , it can only come done to personal choice ,people can take or not but make sure your desision is based on your own extensive research . Most meds have side effects , not everyone will be effected by everyone of these side effect , women have taken the controseptive pill for decades , could this be why more and more women are now seeking IVF fertility treatment ? , I don't know , will there be a major problem with finasteride in decades to come , again I don't know . Alot of this can be laid at the door of genetics , basically "the way the cooky crumbles" , look at Brad Pitt , mint hair , not one sign of male pattern baldness , I envy him for that and that alone , but it's only down to genetics , the same thing that sees some guys unfortinally suffer from side effects of finasteride and some don't . I can't make you believe me and I won't try , and I'm genuinly truely , truely sorry you have had these side effects . richie
  7. Sam Harris is an controversial anti-religion writer , this article you have supplied is about faith and religion , even if you're trying to simplify it and say that the point is people will only see what they want to see , this can go for anything in life , from what car to buy , to which toothpaste to use , it's all subjective and open to opinion and honesty . Finasteride can have side effects and some people can be effected by them , just as some people feel nausea when taking paracetomol and some peoples don't , I for one am not denying this fact , however I do use finasteride with sucess and I'm not in some sort of self denial like you seem to be implying , I guess I'm lucky as the only side effect I have is watery seaman and a less hairy back , I can honestly say , hand on heart , that I can live with that . Now that being said , maybe , just maybe it's you who are in self denial , and having taken finasteride and suffered a psychological erection failure due to your own insecurities with women , then having failed to be completely honest with yourself , you sir blamed the side effects on finasteride , maybe , just maybe this has left you bitter and unable to accept other men having success with a dht reducing tablet . You see what I did there ? twisted it round , not dissimilar from Sam Harris's writing . It really boils down to this , try finasteride to help with hairloss , if you are unfortinate enough to be in th 1% who suffer from side effects , then you , and you alone have to make the choice whether to manage these side efffects or to discontinue the drug . I guess I can only speak for myself , I take finasteride , it has helped me keep and even regrow some hair , I am lucky but I can't force you to believe me when I tell you the only side effects I have had is watery seaman and the discontinued growth of hairs on my back . You will just have to take it , or not , and find out for yourselves , or you could buy into the shameless self promoting rambling of a writer who has made alot of money from simply being controversial and sometime even insulting to people who chose to follow a faith . Oh and right at the top of that page you so kindly linked are the words ....... Free will . Good night richie
  8. Hey bud I don't wish to comment on that other post . A quick rule of thumb guild for graft count is to go by your norwood scale , say you where a norwood 3 then times it be 1000 , you would need 3000 grafts minimum for decent density of 40 graft per cm2 , and really it wants to be higher than that in the hairline . norwwod one =1000 grafts norwood two =2000 grafts norwood three =3000 grafts norwood four =4000 grafts norwood five =5000 grafts norwood six = 6000 grafts norwood seven =7000 grafts This is only the minimum and aproximate but it give you an idea , these figures will give you an overall cosmetic improvement and definatly improve your situation , however you and your surgeon should discuss your goals , and limitations , based of future loss , family baldness etc etc , and have a very clear understanding between you of where you want to be . richie
  9. Hey bud I agree with your observations of your clinic , sadly this is the case with lots of cosmetic surgery places and larger hair mill type clinics . This is why so many of the hair transplant vets on this forum activly encourage loads and loads of research , and all the reasearch should be conducted with a certain amount of cynicism and suspicion . I'm glad I helped ease your worries , now sit back , open a beer and forget about hair surgery for another 8 months or so ! hahahaha richie
  10. Some surgeons take a more safer aprouch , for example , puting 5000 grafts in the front with a depth of only 2cms would give you mental density , but if you then lost more native hair through mpb you run the risk of it looking wrong . Plus not all surgeons are the same with the same skill level and proberbly couldn't pack more than 80 grafts into 1cm2 , then there is issues with blood supply and folical transection . Most ethical surgeons try to give you a future plan , where our average limited supply of 7000 grafts will run out and so a plan must be used to make sure you have enough left in the bank for anymore future loss . Guys use the meds to combat future loss , but you may be unfortinate to suffer sides or you may have to stop using it for other reasons or it maybe that your body becomes tollerant and the meds have less of an effect on dht . I talking in general terms here but those are some of the reasons you wouldn't want your surgeon to "pack in as much grafts as possible" . richie
  11. Hi , This photo was taken in 2007 , 28 days after my first surgery with Dr Feller , I recieved approximatly 2100 grafts , very thin and very neat . These photos were taken in 2012 , 13 days after my second surgery with Dr Feller , you can still see the staple holes , again I recieved approximatly 2100 grafts , again very thin and very neat . In total I have recieved approximatly 4200 grafts from two HTs with Dr Feller , I only have one thin , neat scar and he got the same amount of grafts each surgery . You shouldn't need to have two scars , and this is not the norm . I hope you understand I am trying to help you and not belittle the new guy , if Dr Feller can do it then why won't Dr Path ?
  12. Top man , but seriously starbuck and a young face from the A-team or the new version ? hahahaaha I think we all start with finasteride and hope that the cell research will find the holy grail of a cure . And remember it's called finasteride not fernasteride , thats a totally different drug used for curing genital warts ! hahahahaha Seriously I'm joking about the warts ! richie
  13. Dutch Yer double checked and your right it was June , for me this sways even more in favour of using concealers for the first 6 months , then I think he ditched them late last year , he simply could not have had that much growth in the first 6 months , around this time the press stated he should get his money back ,it "looked" thinner , due to it being the first signs of re-growth , it's simlpy not possible it was thick enough between 1-6 months and therefore must have been concealers . Again I agree with your discription of the ignorance of the press at the time line for HTs to grow back . From the pics I have seen of the weekends match he has definatly made a smart move and had a very ht flattering stylish hair cut . richie
  14. Buddy I didn't feel newhair was trying to put you down , I think it may just come from frustration , when you have been on these forums for a while , sometimes you are left with the feeling that maybe some guys didn't research as well as they could or should have , past tense . You have explained that you where on medication when speaking to the doc and are maybe doubting what you heard , thats good honesty from you . Maybe ring your doc and ask directly if his intension is to create another scar , this is not the way these things are normally done by the worlds leading surgeons and your question may have worried some posters . To answer your question bud , two scars are not normal and should not happen with a leading hair transplant surgeon . Two scars are definatly not better than one , one should be all you ever need whether its , your first surgery or your 5th , one scar . richie
  15. Littlemink I posted both these posts on another thread but , i feel there are apropriate here also Take it or don't it's up to you at the end of the day , , if you get sides then stop talking it and shave your head , oh and stop reading everything on the bloody internet , you'll seriously start to IMAGINE THE SIDES THEN SUFFER ONE FLOP ON THROUGH YOUR OWN ANXIETY AND BLAME THE MEDS ! I have taken finasteride since 2006 , firstly 1.25mgs daily , then 1mg daily , now 0.8 mgs daily , without anymore hairloss . I have suffered no sexual sides , no loss of libido and no loss of erections , I wank everyday , I have a hot girl , I have sex a couple of times a week . Due to wanting a family , I have recently had my sperm , testosterone and thyriod checked , all where above average , sperm count 140 million , between 20-200 million is normal , my thyriod is normal , my testosterone was well within the perameters of normal . My sperm got more watery when I started finasteride , my girl said it DID taste different , and it's more runny , so what ? I also lost some trouble some thick dark hairs that had started growing on my back , arms and hands around the same time I started to notice my hair on my head falling out , but really who the fuck wants a hairy back and a bald head ? I have also had my prostate glad checked , it is fine , as it should be at my age . Finasteride is also used for reducing enlarged prostrates , to stop them cracking which can lead to cancer , a side effect of this , is reduced DHT and regrowth of hair in balding men . Spanker (Replied on the other thread )( snigger at the appropriate online name hahaha ) is absolutly right , you are making this into far more of a big deal than it has to be , take or don't take it , your choice , your hair . Just make sure if you have any sides that they are NOT from your over active mind ! Be really really honest with yourself and decide whether any sides are physical or mental , but you'll be fine , watery sperm and alot more hair , easy . Pm me if you want my number and I'll talk to you over the phone bud , but calm down , freaking out won't help anybody ! And another thread which I feel is relivent also .......... It was me who adviced that 5mg finasteride tablets can be cut into six pieces and used as 0.8mgs daily . Below have provided photographic evidence to back up my claims . This is my kit , nothing out of the ordinary , standard pill cutter , standard daily pill box , 5mg finsateride , and cut neatly into 6 pieces , easy , without fuss and far from just dust left . This is a standard , bladed pill cutter which can be purchased from any high street chemist for 2.99 UK pounds . This is a scaled close up of my 5mg finasteride tablets cut in 6 pieces . I buy my finasteride from a very respectable online source , spex also uses the same place as do many other finasteride users , they sell propecia , proscar and finasteride , so there is a wide range of hairloss medication to chose from , and to suit all pockets . UKfinsateride.info I hope this healps clear up any confusion and going to belgium is a good idea . richie
  16. Hi staggerlee123 It was me who adviced that 5mg finasteride tablets can be cut into six pieces and used as 0.8mgs daily . Below have provided photographic evidence to back up my claims . This is my kit , nothing out of the ordinary , standard pill cutter , standard daily pill box , 5mg finsateride , and cut neatly into 6 pieces , easy , without fuss and far from just dust left over . This is a standard , bladed pill cutter which can be purchased from any high street chemist for 2.99 UK pounds . This is a scaled close up of my 5mg finasteride tablets cut in 6 pieces , with an uncut finasteride tablet on the right of the picture . I buy my finasteride from a very respectable online source , spex also uses the same place as do many other finasteride users , they sell propecia , proscar and finasteride , so there is a wide range of hairloss medication to chose from , and to suit all pockets . 17. I agree with you 57 , but I also have this niggling doubt , and I know just how cynical this sounds , but it may have been in Rooney's contract with the clinic to promote there work , he may have had to come clean . There has been a handful of celebrities over the years who have come out , even appearing on there surgeons infomercials Tom Arnold (Rosanne Bars' ex hunsband) Kenny Rogers (country and western singer) Shaun Williamson (tv actor) Duncan Ballentine (tv's dragon) James Nessbit (actor) John Cleese (ex python) Jason Garener (annoying gay) Lewie Walsh (x factor judge) I beleive all of these guys will have recieved free or low cost surgery due to the exposure the clinic could recieve , and like chrisdav said in an earlier post , the london clinic where Rooney is ment to have had his proceedure done has being in-undated with enquiries , for them it was well worth the attension Rooney caused . I guess I feel with all this HT lark it's best to keep your eyes as wide open as possible , be cynical , be suspicious , it can only help to make very informed decisions . Oh I show my real name and my face , and most of my family and friends know , and I am definatly not a celebrity who could ever profit from the exposure . I have even joked with people who know about mine that I've "done a Rooney" hahaha Still an interesting post though . richie
  18. I agree with the other posters , you will see a difference ,and an improvement over how you look now , but 1500 grafts over that area will still be thin . Newhair was spot on with his observation , the world class docs would have done trice that in one go and in a smaller area , then maybe looked at a second proceedure . Also "density" is subjective to who ever is performing the surgery , "dense" for the polish doc it may be , however I believe , Rahal or Hasson and Wong would have a diffeerent idea of what is dense and what is sparse . You need atleast 40 grafts per cm2 to get only half way to what is considered hair density before any loss on an average corcasean male , and some top docs go higher than that . I have tried roughly to work out the size of the area covered from your pics , now this is only rough but you could measure and work this out for yourself more accuratly . From the centre of you forloc to the furthest back into your temple line i guestimate this to be 10cms in lenth with a 3cm area covered into your exsisting hairline . So 10cms x 3cms =30cm2 ,this give me the area covered but this is for only one side so multiply be 2 so 30cm2 x 2= 60cm2 , now divide the amount of grafts you recieved by the area they where placed . So 1500 / 60 = 25 25 grafts per cm where placed in your hairline . Not exactly mega accurate ,and you could easily measure this yourself to answer your own question . Make you think doesn't it ? richie
  19. Hi I'm a veteran of two hair transplants with Dr Feller in New York . I had 2100 crown grafts in 2007 and it took 18 months before I could really say I was fully grown out , after this my transplanted hair condition got better and better as the years rolled by ., thicker and more like my native hair , i have over a 100 photos documenting this on this forum , search my name and take a look . Due to me being a crown restoration patient , from my own experience I would say don't worry yet , my crown seemed to take forever , I used to get frustrated at all these 12month hairline results looking great and my crown looking weak at 12 months . Stick with it , we are different physically , but mine deffo took atleast 18 months . Also it is universally accepted that 1mg of finasterdie daily is the optimum amount for hairloss and above that dose does very little extra , please research the forums alot more but you will see this is true . Why your clinic has told you to double your dose , i don't know , I can only assume it's due to there lack of knowledge and insecurity over you concerns at 10.5 months . Forget the clinic , take no more than 1mg finasteride daily and give it atleast another 8 months to really see where you HT will be . Good luck richie
  20. And I absolutly 100% agree with everything england has just said richie
  21. Mate , myhairclinic is a hair mill , by this I mean Dr Hussain , puts his name only to a clinic , any old Doctor will be performing the proceedure , hence why it is cheaper at different clinics around the world !!!!!!!!! And shooting posters down who are offering you real life sound advice is just plain arrogance on your part . FUE is the most difficult way to perform a hair transplant , there really are just a handful of surgeons in the WORLD who can perform this proceedure with consistancy and the best and most natural results . FUE is expensive due to the time and ammount of techs that are needed to remove thousands of INDIVIDUAL follicals from the side and back of you head , and then replace them before there are staved of blood for too long and run the risk of dieing . These follicals need to be extracted without cutting to deep into your scalp . Without transecting any other surrounding follicals . Without tesion trauma when removing from your skin . Without twisting trauma during extraction . All this has to be done under a microscope and we are talking less than millimeter to work in , DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE JUST HOW INCREDIBLY HARD , EXHAUSTING AND DELICATE WORK FUE IS . I'm a veteran of two transplants and have bee researching this shit since 2004 , been on finasteride since 2006 , and I see sooooooooo many people come on here and make mistake after mistake , this is not surgery to be taken lightly , NOT ALL SURGEONS ARE THE SAME ! I hope you really take a step back and realise just how close you are to making a massive life effecting mistake , listen to these posters , open your eyes not everyone one on here is "promoting there own surgeon" , these guys have been there , wore the t-shirt , got the scars and made the mistakes ! Forget hussain , forget the hair mill clinics , chose from one of only a handful of the worlds best , and even then only start down the hair transplant road if you have the funds to go with the best . Stay on finasteride , use the shampoo , do this while you save up and research the best surgeons in the world , then , and only then , when you are finally , finacially comfortable to afford the best , start to look into consulting the best FUE surgeons in the world ! Your head , your life , do you really want to risk it ? richie
  22. The place i get my Finasteride in the UK without any issue and i know a lot of UK guys use it too is http://ukfinasteride.info I know Spex recommends it and has done for some time and also gets his meds from there too. The site is very credible and the meds are legitimate and cheap . richie
  23. Hahahahahaha No bud , you misunderstand .................... I cut 5mg finasteride tablets into 6 parts and take 0.8mgs of the tablet daily . I worked out by doing this it would cost 34 PENCE UK sterling per day , this adds up to , approximatly 10.40 UK POUNDS sterling per month . Dutch has a very valid point , and care should always be taken , sadly if it sounds to good to be true it often is . I buy mine from a very large and very reputable online company in the UK , for propecia , merck and generic , proscar and also finasteride it has a subsidury company online called UKfinasteride , it's not fake or dodgy , and I've used the same stuff for years from different sources without my hair falling out . By being astute you can save money , even over high street chemists . I hope that clears up the misunderstanding . richie
  24. Bud i would still go to the zeiring consultation , but only for reaserch , don't sign anything , but enter the office with your eyes wide open , it will give you more of a grounded base and more HT knowledge . Go look at UKfinasteride , you can get finasteride on there for 34p per day , if you buy 5mgs finasteride tables , cut into 6th and take 0.8mgs daily , it works out 10.40 pounds per month . Good luck with Dr Feriduni and come back and report your findings . richie
  25. Hi Listen forget the wig , that will look pants . Maybe re-think the whole Dr Path route and take you $10,000 dollars to either Dr Feller , Dr Rahal or Drs Hasson and Wong . That way you are going with one of the worlds best and will have much less worry about the scar and the density . richie
