  1. Sounds good. We can grab a beer and talk about it sucks or wait till your satisfied. I op for the second.
  2. The first suggestion is a good one. I am not a medical person, but I think the reason they will not do the surgery is that the swelling may close off the shunt, causing damaging pressure on your brain. It could just be they are afraid of lawsuits.
  3. He is right, about the fears of the future. I haven't heard much from people +10 years out of a HT.
  4. I think Dr E may be corrilating that the skull decreases in size after age 20. After that it would be less of a tight fit. The smaller skull is one of the reasons we get wrinkles, but not the only one. My scar looks like it didn't stretch, but I need to get a short haircut.
  5. I'd say use your good hair on your head if you want to grow it out. One man of African descent was interested in using BHT because he wanted to keep his hair nearly razored and not have the shine effect. I think it would look good shaved, but horrid if it was grown out. I remember some scientist took his own PD cells and placed them in his wife's skin in the 80's. The ensuing follicle had his characteristics.
  6. I think it will be good to enjoy the time with a nice hairline. Its too early to comment about the hair transplant. About 5 months from now I'll give you my 2 cents.
  7. Thanks. If you are in Tucson lets grab a beer sometime and talk about how it sucks to wait.
  8. This may be a bit off topic, but does toppick come out if you sweat alot? I was thinking of using some to fill in until the HT comes in fully, but goto the gym almost daily.
  9. That sounds like the guy in UAE's pricerange. The are a bunch of good Docs, depending on what you want done.
  10. I lost a bunch from my accutane treatment. Mine is a bit worse than yours and just got a HT.
  11. Don't forget your null hypothesis. It may be that there are more bad docs in India, but I haven't noticed it. I did read, think on wikipedia, that high fat diet causes more DHT production.
  12. S5H, I am a Keene patient also. You have any updated photos for your procedure?
  13. At least you still go out and enjoy it. Its gotta be a better club scene than in Tucson.
  14. some of the links in the article are down. My take on it, is that it can look good. Problem is that the hair grows slower and not as long, and may look weird with normal hair up there.
  15. go see the derm first. Might be anything from fungal infection to psoriasis.
  16. I got it cut to a #2, and it shows from the bottom. I am about to hit the 3 month mark and had minimal shock loss.
  17. looks thin to me. I was going in and out from the Valium, so I wouldn't get a count.
  18. I found that the application of neosporin helped break the bond of the scalp and the scabs. I wouldn't try to force them off though. Scabbing is a natural part of your body's response to trauma, and may cause the root to be screwed up if you traumatize it.
  19. hehe, ask her if those fat bald men are short too.
  20. That is very intersting rjnebbo. I am wondering if the drug changes conformation or does not want to come out of solution in the drug. I think that taking .25 mg twice a day would almost completely block the one form of Alpha-2-reductase, due to the half lives of the findasteride.
  21. I had mine with Dr Keene in October and some of mine grew right out. They seemed kinda weak though. Are you sure they aren't just weak native hairs? around my temples I had the most survivors.
  22. Intersting. I take proscar chopped into 1/4th every day. Both those pages 404'd for me. Do you know how effective .5 was a day?
