  1. you really gotta start yourown thread here man... im glad you posted pics tho.. that gap is down right ridiculous, i agree... PM Bill if you need help starting a thread or posting more pics... start your own thread and ask away TELL US THE WHOLE STORY IN YOUR THREAD.. more pics would be a plus tho, like from before your HT, if you have them
  2. i just dont understand posts like this yet.. i see people freakin out already about PRP on other forums too... BOTTOMLINE IS THIS STUFF WAS NEVER TOUTED AS A MIRACLE CURE, AND THESE POSTERS WHO ARE "DISAPPOINTED" CAN ONLY BE A FEW MONTHS OUT AT BEST... how can any of them know it has not helped maintain for them in the long run?? were they expecting to have their heads grow like a chia pet?..... im sorry im just tired of people jumpin off the bandwagon before the thing even starts moving... i personally still have my seatbelt on ..
  3. i remember when i first came here, i made a similar mistake.. i know you may find this hard to believe but when i first cae here i was a bit of a skeptic!.... we feel dumb enough when we realize it was just moved, trust me.. we could probably do without the 'open your eyes' stuff... but i can understand Bill when he gets pissed, as it does happen from time to time, he prob views it as a slant on his name so its taken personal.. the OP is new to the site, honest mistake guys, nobody bats a thousand! in my experience Bill does a great job running a fair forum. very very seldom will he remove anything and if he does he provides a reason why such action had been made
  4. id also like it if you answered this... just looking for your opinion ONLY. we know that you cant say for certain if/when a 'cellular level' hair procedure will exist but still id like to know your OPINION on it, if you dont mind sharing Dr.... BTW,Dr. Charles, id like to say that i appreciate that your not afraid to get involved in threads asking tougher questions then this one... not every dr here is as involved
  5. im so glad your continuing to update, its lookin thicker and thicker with that sun roof opened, compared to your 5 month pics.... overall how are you feeling at this point?? would you be happy if this were your final result? not saying it is as im sure it will thicken up even more in the the next 3-5 months but just curious what your state of mind is as of now.... any problems with styling options? is it slightly more thin if combed back instead of to the side?? or about the same its starting to look real good IMO.. all the best
  6. feel free to change that for us was it SMG who did your fue into the scar?? was it spead all over of focused on one particular area and do you feel you got decent density, or enough density to be able to shave down to a 2 and have the grafted scar be significantly less noticable.. also what was the reason for on350 grafts.. thanks and sorry for 20 questions but im curious
  7. this has bothered me for some time now, please do not take offense coscanoer, im not trying to single you out... but i see advice like this handed out all the time for people with bad scars...."just go get some FUE thrown in there, fix it right up" or i see this gem... go throw some BHT into that scar beard hair is thicker so it will grow through" id just like to ask how many PATIENT POSTED results we have seen from guys who had FUE into their scar.. this is somthing that is NOT as easy as it sounds... 1. fue into the scar means you will be scarring other parts of your scalp OR face during the FUE process. 2. beard hair may be thicker but c mon, is there really any concrete proof that it yields any better then head hair FUE into scar tissue??? 3.. yield in scar tissue is inconsistant at best, so can one really count on achieveing enough density in the scar to be able to shave any lower without STILL having a noticable scar back there... seems to me buzzing shorter will do nothing more then expose the SAME SCAR YOU HAD BEFORE, only difference being that you will have the OCCASIONAL few hair grafts that actually grew, sticking out with unnatural density throughout the scar, leaving you with the same problem.. you have to gow your hair out longer, to get coverage until i see otherwise from REAL patients, and not the one cherry picked result umar has posted where the guy has LONGER HAIR in his post op, im FAR FROM SOLD on FUE into the scar... its just not that simple... B-spot--- a while back informed us that SMG was gonna be doing FUE into the scar, it was long enough ago that if he had ANY proof it was being done with great success he surely would have posted SOMETHING by now..... nothing
  8. (irrelevant baiting content removed by the moderator - John36 and his posts have nothing to do with this thread. Stay on topic.) Bill-- kudos, for addressing RonJ during his back and forth with TC17.. however, i can FULLY understand why my friend RonJ thought it was ok to harass others, and lable them clueless and ignorant. he was allowed to do exactly that just a couple weeks ago with another member... however that other member can get pretty loud himself, about his displeasure with the HT industry so i can surely see the difference in the two situations... at any rate its wonderful to see you addressing/enforcing the rules you have set up that protect posters from having to deal with aggressivness and hostility for simply voicing their own opinions honestly and respectfully. there is a srong difference between respectfully disagreeing with someone, as oppose to flat out harassing, and degrading others due to simply differing opinion... its obv you believe something similar Bill and i think thats great.. its why i like this site, and the way its ran
  9. there is no doubt that thinning in the "permanent" donor area can take place... i doubt its something that can accurately be predicted considering drs cant really even predict ones typical balding pattern and progression in the usual balding areas.. the glorification of HTs nowadays, as a seemless, completly natural, solution has resulted in a MUCH larger number of young guys and guys of all ages getting HTs, REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEIR FUTURE HAIRLOSS PROGRESSION MAY TAKE THEM, they cannot posibly know where they will end up, or how their donor will hold up.. in time we will begin to see, and hear more stories of guys who experienced plenty of donor thinning, and even transplant thinning as they age, IMO. since hairs in even the donor region can sometimes be susceptible to DHT, and eventually die themselves, a LOGICAL person will determine that the possibilty is VERY real that a percentage of their transplanted hair will follow this pattern and be lost eventually.. HENCE WHY, Bill HAS HAD SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINES OF 48 TRILLION GRAFTS MOVED YET STILL REMAINS ON HIS MEDS, NIC NITRO ALSO CONTIUES TO ADDRESS HIS HAIRLOSS INTERNALLY. these guys know better to me this is just another topic that needs to be addressed more, but isnt... now excuse me while i go get off on the latest posted result of a NW3 who with the large help of meds, and half his donor used was able to get a brand new lower hairline...
  10. hahahahaha... this one gave me a good solid chuckle
  11. DR Feller recently stated he ALREADY has photos that show an obv cosmetic improvement in one of his patients who had PRP, he should be posting it quite soon, with others to follow. i believe there will NOT be deceptive documentation from feller because he know he will get blasted by some of the 'seasoned' posters here... this will quite likely NOT be the magic bullet, but very well could be a positive form of treating hairloss...especially in diffuse thinners. and as of now it seems to come with NONE of the side effects fin has the potential of causing, in fact NO SIDES what so ever have been reported yet to my knowledge...so while Bill is correct that it may very well be a continual form of treatment. i have ZERO problem with this if it helps me keep my oh so precious native hair...... 2 treatments a year = 1200 to 1600 bucks a year... small price if it works and only about 800 bucks more then i pay for minox/fin, which the effectiveness can wear off anyway in time... good to know other options may be out soon.... for me its all about buying as much time as possible with my hair....
  12. luca, contact the moderator, 'Bill'... one of his posts can be found in this thread above.. he can help you with posting pics... and to answer you, YES we are VERY interested in seeing your pics how do you know that Bisanga "forgot", or didnt place grafts there... perhaps he did and they have not grown... do you recal incisions being made in the bald area you are talking about? we need some pics bro. thanks
  13. luca, any chance you would be willing to share your story and pictures of your result with us?? there are many posters/lurkers who consider Bisanga, so if you have truly had a poor experience im sure that others would want to hear about it... thanks BTW-- i just read that your 6 months out... while most of the grafts SHOULD be growing at this point, it is quite possible to see some thickening in the next few months...... in reading your posts it seems you wish to warn others against Bisanga, im telling you RIGHT NOW, you will be asked to back up your claims from other posters..........please consider showing the forum that your words of warning can be validated by pictures, assuming they can.
  14. disagree. perhaps i should have clarified better on this point. aaron knew, just as i did. that future procedures were likely. what i did not, and im guessing aaron did not know is that that these future procedures, would come SO SOON AFTER, and WOULD BE IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT AS OUR PREVIOUS WORK, due to the strong lack of density we recieved, all while being promised something else. we were thinking future procedures whould be used to address NEW areas, and future balding...im hoping your smart enough to see the difference here hdude.. your right hdude we can agree that the majority of drs are not world class..... however you strike me as a very close minded person, you seem to know nothing of a situation like aarons... im glad for you....its foolish posts like yours that were the very reason i never posted about my personal experience until recently.. i knew that posters who didnt know me at all, would think im a victim out for pity... im also glad you have decided not to listen anymore. your just to wise anyway .. cause im tired of hearing you bounce around like you have all the answers to a successful experience... "research, see patient in person".. all GREAT recycled advice. are you so sure aaron did not folow your "iron clad" guide to HT success?? meh, even if he did he still is not as smart as you were about it, right??
  15. RonJ-- here is your quote from above to me----"There are plenty of leeches in the ht world trying to feed off of people's desperation (it doesn't take a genious to figure this out) but this forum is not a place filled w/those leeches."----- now id like you to take a look at the above quote by the patient himself, Aaron1234.. as your reading what Aarons experience was with the clinic he chose, understand that Aaron chose a dr who, according to him, WAS recommended by this site.. so while i agree that this site is a GREAT benifit to someone considering transplants. it still obviously helped aaron feel comfortable in his choosing of a Dr. who would put together a flawed gameplan IMHO.. all while forcing Aaron into a commitment that is very long term, very difficult, and very unexpected.. you say aaron should have known that future HTs were a possiblity, I SAY HE DID... hell RonJ, even I KNEW FUTURE HTS WERE IN MY FUTURE, i just didnt know it was gonna come 1 year after my first HT, and take place in the EXACT same place my first HT was, due to such a strong lack of density from HT#1..ron have a look at aarons quote:-- ----"I knew full well that I would likely need more transplants in the future. However, I didn't know that I would have to go over the same transplanted region all over again just to get any kind of density."---- ---- aaron was mislead by the indusrty IMO, and while in my case you can say "meh, he want to bosley, so it makes sense", the same cannot be said of aaron.... no, he likely did NOT choose H&W or rahal, or feller. but MANY here find their ways to recommended drs outside these 3... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- LMS, you yourself COULD remedy your situation & go to an elite dr as many others have done in your situation. You act as though NOONE has good options. But, this simply is not true. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- RonJ, will be honest, your above quote is an example of one that scares me about your posting style... you sometimes hand out opinions as if you are 100% certain it will happen(i do the same thing except im usually on the other end of the spectum)... you do not know that my situation could be remedied, you simply cannot know that if i choose H&W i will get what i want, short term OR long term.. you cannot be certain of the success of my HT, my yield, and my appearance after its grown out... you do not seem to always factor EVERYTHING.. while you like to state that i have a very 'general view of HTs. i believe much of the same could be said for you. i still have native hair left to lose. according to you, i should just go fill in my thin front third and i will be happy and look better, maybe so ron, but FOR HOW LONG?? until i lose the rest of my top and crown?? and now ive got no laxity and not enough donor for adequate coverage?? my situation is more complex then just going to a top doc and making my hairline thick enough to put away the concealer for now... for guys like Aaron and me these are life changing decisions we must make, all because we made ONE life changing decision under the impression we would have more than we ACTUALLY got.. RonJ-- just the other day i read a post from you that scared the hell out of me.... a guy was worried about his yield and how not all his grafts were growing.. he was like 7 months out(typically most grafts have ATLEAST begun growing by then, they may not be thick yet but they are certainly GROWING in most cases)... yet even still your "positive" words for him were as follows: 'do not worry, ALL your grafts WILL come in eventually' im paraphrasing but your words WERE indeed that definitive... i understand you were trying to "delicately help with motherly nourisment" but to me this is yet another example of you potentially providing FALSE HOPE in a situation you dont fully understand... you do not know this guys grafts will fill in RON. you cannot know... so while you may be right, and he MAY be a late grower, there is also a very real chance that, so late in the game for him, he may simply be on pace for an UNSUCCESSFUL transplant, and your attempeted "esteem boost" will lead to false hope and greater disappointment... its a fine line you walk sometimes with your pro HT beliefs... i would compare it to that of the fine line i walk with my "not so-pro HT beliefs"...however, i think its obv most posters like seeing "positive" posts like yours. you do indeed nourish my friend, they like that... all the way up until they are in arrons, or judge holdens shoes... then they dont care so much i would bet. now, for them its all about fixing the mess they got themselves into as best they can. and to answer your queston, YES, we can engage in genuine dialogue, we always could have ron so long as the OP does not object... perhaps you and i need to personally open up a public thread specifically for us... that way anytime we wanna get something off our chest we can do so without making all the threads about you and me
  16. your probably right man.. aaron, im probably thinking to much about others reading my posts then i am thinking about what effect they might have on you... i can be a real douchbag sometimes. i apologize.
  17. PGP-- thanks man, i agree with you.. do you think theres a chance that a 21 yearold virgin patient NW4 might read this thread?? i do....
  18. PGP-- what im saying is it just sucks that for guys like aaron1234, or judge holden, or myself, and the many others who exist on this site, and away from it.. we are in a situation where we are FORCED to continue... just like you were at one point..SMG saved you right??. maybe seeing what they were able to do for you might help aaron1234, judge, and myself with our decision.. do you have a link to your pics by chance? i dont know what advice to give him, i said that... but i wish he had more options then he does. and it blows that he does not... but above all i wish i could do something that could keep others from ending up like judge holden, and aaron, i bet they BOTH hoped for much more, i bet they BOTH went into this HT world thinking they would have much more, and i dont believe its completly their faults for expecting such....... maybe thats why i dont cheerlead for HTs, and thow praise left and right.
  19. ....... so now, unfortunately, the best advice we can offer this guy is "keep going"... pay more money, but THIS TIME go to H & W cause then he will for sure be happy right?? i feel for you and your situation aaron, i hate seeing quotes like yours above.. and i hate that i dont know what to tell you, as im in a similar boat... please keep us posted. id really like to know what you decide and i hope it works out for you. dont rush yourself man. BTW, the meds have done GREAT for you.
  20. ive seen it..appreciate it. quote from Arocha: "The presence of curl can have a great impact on the volume;" ... hdude-- what type of hair would you say farrel has? actually id like to see a link to another ONE PASS, 3800 graft HT on a NW5 that is even in the same league as the parsley patient.he can have super thick shafts too. do you happen to have one? characteristics are paramount, obv.. i think thats what your getting at right? BTW-- side note. i find his examples somewhat funny, look at the lighting situation in his first example.. the before is taken in perhaps the absolute worst lighting ever captured. and his curly haired example shows an overhead before and a profile after.... kinda funny. it does have some good info in it, for sure, wish it went into more detail tho
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- POSTED BY- hdude46--"this is why its important to think about things before one goes into a procedure. I'm sorry but if people are complaining about their hair looking "thin" then im sorry u should have known before the procedure what could be realistically achieved. Put the blame on yourself and your doc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- hdude, it is possible that when making his HT decision, judge was not as informed as you.. it is possible that thru the fancy commercials, and the false idea that is put out there about HTs, that judge was under the impression that HTs could do more then they actually can... judge is not throwing a pitty party here, hes not playing the 'poor me' card, hes simply looking for some feedback at this point because he has found out his transplant was not as great an idea has he originally thouht going into it.. this is not something unique to judge holden... be thankful you are so wise, and lucky enough to have found this place to use as a learning tool. not everybody is lucky enough to take the exact same "road to HT WISDOM" you took, and i hardly think criticizing him is productive at this point.. you want Judge holden to put the blame on himself, and thats fine if you want to take that close minded approach knowing NOTHING of how judge came to make his HT decision...we ARE all resposible for the decisions we make.... but understand judge holden is NOT out to put blame on ANYONE else... hes just sharing his experience, his feelings, and looking for feedback and options to better himself, and his situation
  22. judge, i want you to know i relate to EVERY SINGLE WORD in the above post.. infact, on more than one occasion, i said F%*K IT! and i shaved and ya know what?? if i did not have a stretched(one one side) scar running from ear to ear id buzz on a 0 guard and be free from this..hell, if/when my hairloss is beyond saving i may find this to truly BE my best option.. i too did NOT have a terrible HT result, but thats really not the point as you know... its the worry, its the avoidance, of particular lighting when out in public or in the sun, its the fact that i MUST style my hair a certain way, and that i only feel comfortable with dermmatch in it.. its the reliance on meds, its the fact that my hairloss, and my hair situation both NOW and as my hairloss progress is never far from my mind... these thing often overwhelm me.. this stuff in NOT fun, but it is what it is at this point... what i try to do (although not always easy) is remind myself of what i DO have.. i have legs that work, a mind that works, there is much more to who i am then my apperance. and i just try to never lose complete sight of that... and then i do my best to keep going and find the enjoyment and happiness i know is out there..sorry to get mushy, but i can relate
