  1. Pics are in the slideshow on page 1. Results look great hairdini! Very natural as well. Looks like both you and Gorpe have recieved some great results from Dr. Keene. HT # 2? Sounds like what they call hair greed :-).
  2. Hi Avin, Dr. Alexanders fee is $4.00 per graft. At least it was as of 12/5/07 when I had mine with him. Phoenix is definitely an easy flight from LA and I'd reccomend staying there a day or two after a procedure to just relax. That's what I did and it was definitely nice to get away. I'm a little over 4 months and have been very pleased so far. As far as their booking dates go, you'd definitely need to give them a call but If you're flexible and able to do it early or mid week I'm sure it would be easier to find an opening. Good luck on your search for the right Dr.
  3. I also think that it's important for all coalition docs to commit to atleast 1 posting per month of their results and I've stated this several times before. As you've explained getting them to do this has been extremely difficult. I imagine that it has more to do with a bit of laziness or simply not wanting to deal with it. If it is a case of laziness and not about wanting their results seen then maybe HTN could post the photos on their behalf as a service included with the fees docs pay to be listed as. I think it would probably be easier to get them or an office tech to simply shoot of an email once in a while as opposed to posting. Maybe not but something that should be asked of them.
  4. "I'm 50 years young... with lots of long hair. I'm just wanting to have the front hair line done... to be more full and natural. I had some HT 15 years ago with Dr. Friedman... and it was fine... but it was the old days... apparently... when techniques were different.. and density possibilities were different. Now I have to determine if Dr. Alexander or Keene is a better choice." Hi Kaelen, I'm a little confused by the topic name Alexander Vs. Friedman. Based on your previous post you previosly had an HT with Dr. Friedman now you're looking to get an new one from Dr. Alexander of Keene? I've never heard of Dr. Friedman so unfortunately I can't give any insight as to him. Since I'm a Dr. Alexander patient who recieved 2739 on 12/5/07 I can tell you from first hand experience that I've been extremely pleased so far. I'm only at 4 months and am seeing some very nice growth and I still have a long way to go. Dr. Alexander does produce some exceptional results. In addition to the numerous pictures I've seen, I also saw one of his patients in person the day before my consultation and was blown away by how good it looked. My recovery time was great as well. Good luck!
  5. Hey NotGoingToGoBald (NG2GB), We'd all really like to hear your side of the story. Also, how do you feel about the thread here so far and the comments from members? Please post your response here to let us all know. . Oh shit, I forgot you're on restriction and can't post right now . As you can see here, you have a high approval rating so hopefully you can see both sides of the story and work it out. It's not a pissing contest an there's no need for disprespect if there was any. It would be ashame to not have you here. Plus, WTF would you do with all your time. You'de probably drink and smoke too much and join some other shady forum where people aren't as sharp and don't understand your sense of humor and you will be ridiculed by all . I can see it now. As you get older and lose more hair, friends and ladies you'll have to keep all your despair inside and not be able to share with your balding bozo brothers. You'll then turn further towards a life of alcohol and strip clubs and it will be a vicious spiral. You'll become a leper on HLH and you'll then change to only recommending Armani. You'll also start buying into the numerous crazy regimens of different members and you'll even start wearing a homemade laser helmet as you drink, smoke and post. You need the forum and this forum needs you. LATE
  6. Hi Pat! I think every user on this forum respects the time and work you have put into creating this platform which allows this community to thrive. Your's and Bills knowledge and first hand experience with HT doctors is also very important. With that said, it is also the users who's posts create this community and provide an equally if not MORE important aspect of this community (think Friendster Vs. Myspace or a good nightclub which loses it's flare to another). As with any community it's also very important to have all different types of personalities which make coming to this site informative, interesting and YES sometimes quite entertaining. I'm not sure exactly which post you are referring to where NG2GB said there are only 2 Coalition Docs worth going to (and I do think he should express that as his opinion), but I'm sure that most all users here are smart enough to make their own opinions and judgement and wouldn't rely on the opinion of one member, especially if they did a search on all NG2GB's posts . Also, as you pointed out, he's never had experience with an HT so why would you be worried or insecure that everyone (let alone anyone) would be so influenced by this one persons opinion as to poison the well? Obviosly none of us here know what words were exchanged in your PM's so I'll withhold judgement as to who's right or wrong and I don't think NG2GB should have been disprespectful to you. Perhaps he had too many beers or he took your PM wrong. We all have our moments. I think many if not most here will respectfully ask that you REINSTATE NG2G's privileges. He adds alot of flavor to this site which is a much needed aspect. His posts are not only entertaining, they are also often times insightful and knowledgeble. And I don't think having had and HT is a requirement for providing valuable input. From what I've seen he doesn't try to chime in and tell people about his experience with an HT. Hell, I went to Dr. Alexander and I don't think he's one of the only 2 he would go to. I'm extremely happy so far and I would go to him again if I had to do it again. Yes! Even though NG2GB doesn't think he's one of the two worth going too. I've visited HLH and like I've said in the past the difference to me is that the posters here seem much more inteligent, witty and informed. IMO if you keep him off you'll be losing a valuable and colorful member! Respectfully, Me
  7. Than! You are a master concealer for sure. Your Nonogen work looks great. Do you have any experience with Nanogen Vs. Toppik. I've used Toppik and it works great for me. I'd definitely be open to trying Nanogen though. In the next few months I hope to not use any as I'm sure you are too.
  8. I thought this was a basketball thread with the no look pass topic . Looks like some very nice work MBM. Now the waiting game. Surgical cap huh! I woulda requested a bandana or sometin. Then people woulda just thought I was some clown trying to be cool guy . I guess everyones different with the swelling. I had 2739 frontal 1/3 and didn't have any. I'm sure it'll be gone very soon. From what I've seen the time to remove the sutures differs between docs anywhere from 7 to 14 days so you should be fine getting them out before your vacation. My doc was at the lower end and I removed my sutures myself cuz I really didn't feel like going into the a doctors for it. Definitely not something most would want to do but I kinda enjoyed it for some odd reason. Good luck and enjoy your vacation. Make sure you wear a cap all day. Definitely don't want to bake the melon.
  9. Love the video of your donor area Spex. Looks amazing. The music almost had me shed a tear . Also, thank for making me jelous too . I'm pretty much in the same boat as you were with the old Bosley scar. I never wear my hair too short in the back so it's not noticible but i would like to correct it at some point. Dr. Alexander and I agreed that it wasn't feasible to try to remove the scar with my recent HT since it's lower than it should have been (Thanks Boz ) and our main focus was the HT and not scar revision. Perhaps you or Dr. Feller could give me some insight as to what determines whether it's best to FUE into the existing scar or to try and remove it with trico closure and perhaps use some of the hairs extracted with it up top. My recent trico closure is really hard to see even at only 4 months so I'm good there and don't plan on ever really buzzing down to a 2 or 3 gaurd. Is doing a FUE into the scar basically to make it as undetectable as possible. Thanks. You should add "Will work for FUE" to your signature
  10. I second the Hair Augmentation naming. To use another name for HT's similar to Breast Augmentation we could use the following Hair Job = HJ (not happy ending type either ) Your hair look great lately! Why thanks! Just had a little HJ last year.
  11. Well since I already helped pay off a Boob Job for an ex about 10 years ago I'd say I've already been there and done that (did really enjoy them though ). The HT's growing in very nicely (coming up on 4 mo in 2 days) and I can happily say I've gotten both. I've naturally enlarged my breasts with good workouts. I hear you on the part of a women with some nice B's getting some D's doesn't really make sense to me most of the time, especially if they're just looking for some look at my boobs attention (although it does typically make a stripper more money at da club) . Many girls do lose what they had especially after childbirth and many other just aren't blessed in the first place. And for them I say go for it it if makes them feel better about themselves. Oh yeah! 18 newcastles is a whole hellava lotta beer for a Tuesday night . Hope you didn't have to work the next morning.
  12. NG2GB, have you turned on Alba just because the girl went n got pregnant. Guess ur moving on to Reggie Bush's girl Kim until Alba pops the lil one out. Since you're lookin for man boobs here's 4 nice ones for ya! Man Boobs . I think it's pretty well known that there's always been a bit of a stigma in society of men getting cosmetic procedures. This is obviously becoming less over the years but still much more so than for women. There's obviously many differences, but I actually think both HT's and Boob Jobs (I'd say BJ's but we know where that'll go ) have very many similar aspects as to why men and women get them. Wish you all the Best of Hair and Boobs
  13. Question for those who have openly discussed their HT with females. Also for those who work in the industry such as JoTronic and Janna. Are a girls thoughts of guys with great natural HT's similar to guys thoughts of girls with great natural boob jobs? (Not talking about extreme cases like 36 F's or Armani style 16 yr old hairlines on NW4's) To clarify - Obviously being blessed with great natural features in either case is preffered, but unfortunately we're not all that lucky. My view (and others I've spoken with) on a boob job is if a girl isn't happy with what she has (pancakes after childbirth for instance ) and she get's a great enhancement and feels much better about herself then I'm all for it, as long as she's doing it for herself and not just to please others (I don't think a significant other should be asking a partner to get cosmetic surgery). I've had several girlfriends over the years who've had breast enhancement (seen many more at places NG2GB goes too and plays verbal ping pong) and I've had many who didn't. While a great natural feature can't be topped, I had no complaints at all about the ones with a great IBM job (i bought mine). I believe HT's are the most popular male cosmetic surgery and Breast Augmentation is the most popular for females.

  15. Good call on ditchin Bosley brotha! When it comes to something like an HT only settle for excellence. You'll have to live with it forever . Two great docs you mentioned and don't let a little travel influence your decision. It's actually nice to get away for it. Thank God for the Internet huh! Best of luck.
  16. Well I'm almost 4 months out and while I am seeing some results they're not quite up to par with what I was expecting. Ha ha just trying to drive you you mad Mr. Jobi since I love seeing great results and I can't see yours Lookin good glock!
  17. You should consider giving Dr. Alexander in Phoenix a call. Peice of cake flight from CA and I think he could do an amazing job for you. You also look to be a great candidate for some amazing results. Here's two patients of his who seem to have similar situations as your http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums?a=displayal...deshow&x_startwith=1 http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/256...=633108998#633108998
  18. Screw waiting any longer HLBD. Especially since you already popped you HT cherry . You're a great candidate with your loss pattern. Similar to mine. Dr. Rahal, Alexander or Shapiro could do wonders with your mellon. I concur that 2000 seems about right since your frontal 1/3 doesn't look to diffuse. I hear ya about the aprehension. I had a Bosley procedure about 11 years ago. Results didn't look bad since I had a fair amount of existing hair. Donar scar wasn't all that great but not noticible since I have very thick hair in the back and have never gone too short. I finally got over my apprehension on getting a new and improved HT. Went to Dr. Alexander for 2739 on 12/5. For me it's been a piece of cake and I'm extremely happy I took that leap. I'm coming up on 4 months and there's already been major improvement. Can't wait to see what it looks like in another 5 months. Look forward to seeing uour results.
  19. That sucks Jess. Even though it's a major financial and personal burden to have to get some repair I'm sure your case is much less worse than people who had subpar work from years ago. Not that that makes you feel any better . I'm glad you said you were going to post some pictures because that seems to always be required by Bill and Pat when negative reviews of a Doctor are given. Best of luck to you and thanks for your service! I personally think that if a doctor is going to be recommended as a Coalition doctor on this site they should be REQUIRED to post results for at least one patient (before/after photos) per month. That way the doctors are being held to high standards on a continuing basis and this gives potential customers a better idea of the results the doctor achieves. Any thoughts on this Pat/Bill? Is one a month really that difficult.
  20. Hi Bart, Looks like very nice work and Dave looks to be a perfect FUE candidate. It will be great to see his results down the road. I'm a little confused by something Dave said in his first post "i d like to share my upcoming HT that will take place March 24, next week, at prohairclinic in Belgium owned by the poster Bverotti." Your signature says Consultant for Dr. De Reys. Is Dave mistaken or do you actually own the clinic? It would seem that the Dr. would own the clinic. Thx
  21. Hi Dr! If this is truly an open forum I think it would only be fair to allow you to post your side of the story. As far as lawsuits go I've been in some myself as a business owner, and I truly believe that most are simply a waste of time and resources which could typically be handled better outside the courts. This site serves a number of purposes and I think that some of the main purposes are to provide quality information regarding HT procedures, doctors, support and personal experiences. Another main purpose should be to help potential HT candidates find the best HT surgeons in the world in order to assist in narrowing down the decision of who's right for them. The main way for this to happen is for Doctors and their patients to show MANY DETAILED before and after photos of patient results. After all great results speak for themselves and it requires many results to determine a good average baseline of each doctors skills. And when it comes to something such as an HT, I think we all want a doctor who achieves the best possible results for each patients individual situation every time. Doing great work 70% of the time shouldn't cut it in the HT business or any medical practice for that matter. So why not start posting high resolution before and after pictures of your patient results? I'm sure that if explained to patients and their identities are properly concealed many would consent. It seems apparent that you still have the ability to post. I for one know I would love to see your results on a regular basis and I think we would all be very honest with our opinions of your work. If your work is consistently stellar then it will be known and I'm sure you would recieve many recommendations and you'll have a thriving HT business. If your results are not consistently stellar then that should also be known and I would hope you would consider a different area of practice. I think we've seen the pain bad results cause and it should not be acceptable at all. If you're not willing to put your work out there then I think that would speak for itself as well. I look forward to hearing your feedback and seeing results. The picture above has a great resolution, but in order for me to give any feedback I would want to see some before pictures to know what you were working with, post op pics and the several varying pictures of the final results including donar scar area. Take Care!
  22. NY Times Theater review. All Hail Hairweknow & Julliette! "Hairweknow & Julliette is a buoyant, wacky and masterful play about a young balding man in tights and his journeys toward regaining his lucious locks and youthful appearance." The buzz keeps growing and the lines keep getting bigger. Dare we say Tony Award for Best Play in 2008? Bravo!
  23. Hi Jupiter, From looking at your pictures I don't think it is at all certain you are destined to become an NW7. Your situation is really not as bad as I was expecting. Make sure you stay on the propecia and rogaine. Even if you don't really notice any new growth It will definitely help you to slow the loss down or halt it. I'm 38 now and have been on it for a long time with no issues and I can guarantee I'd be much worse off it I wasn't on it. Try a little light dusting of some Toppik on your crown and you should be good to go. By 2012 who know what science will come up with but try not to think about HT's for awhile. Besta luck!
  24. I saw this on Dr. Rassman's Balding Blog and thought it was relevant to this topic. It's a great interview with Patrick Stewart (New Star Trek) discussing baldness in his early years. Just goes to show that even though balding can be depressing it's definitely not the end of the world and life can still turn out great. Here's a link He's the epitimy of a NW7 so HT wouldn't have even been a good option for him at all. I also think he looks great.
  25. I thought you quick in January NG2GB? I remember reading about Chantix being the best thing since puff wheat and how easy it made quitting. Those little bastards are hard to get rid of I guess. I like Ramblers icon. Looks like Linus had an HT with a whopping 40-50 grafts over his entire head. Should create some nice density
