  1. Some dyes contain peroxide which is also toxic on the scalp and hair.
  2. For me, I would rather invest in something that has a long history of proven effectiveness.
  3. I sincerely hope you have good success with it.
  4. Yes many clinics will be willing to take your money at 9 months post-op but since you have already made a large financial investment in the 4200 graft procedure, you owe it to yourself to have a microscopic examination of the entire recipient area to ascertain if there are any more new hair coming through…why risk transecting any of the transplanted hair even though the recent months show slowed growth?
  5. I have used MSM for approximately 6 months consistently but did not feel it made any difference.
  6. I used to think that too however the average graft contains 2.3 hair shafts and since that number is low, the peripheral thickness of each hair shaft is imperatively critical in providing optimal visual coverage.
  7. I also am looking forward to seeing your progress pictures especially your hairline!
  8. Dark colored hair shafts will reflect more UV light off of the scalp and just tend to look more thin.
  9. You have lots of good questions relative to your decision to switch to DUT from low dose finasteride…the best truthful answers to any of them are: you won’t know how you will respond until you make the switch. Yes you could have new or more side effects however it’s less likely because you have a long ingestion period with finasteride…the same goes with the possibility of an acute shed cycle, you may have some shedding but IMHO, not acute. Most of the guys that I have dialogued with who have switched from FIN to DUT did not experience a drastic difference, a small percentage of them felt it made a huge difference in curbing their hair loss but most of them just maintained which was still a success…thicker hair?…nothing that was noticeable. In all honesty, we are lay people so your questions regarding the best path to make the transition regarding dosage and frequency of ingestion can only be answered by a licensed physician, a hair loss specialist who is experienced with the medicinal treatment side of hair loss.
  10. At this point you just have to let your hair grow and repair itself, adding anymore chemicals or color will prove to be counterproductive.
  11. Well that’s good to hear and chances are your hair loss won’t be in the advanced classes.
  12. IMHO it’s always best to wait and see the full visual benefits of your procedures before adding SMP to any weak areas.
  13. Singh, we never asked you what your family history of men with MPB is…do any of the men have an advanced class of MPB?
  14. You would be surprised by how nice adding definition would be, again, don’t lower it, just reinforce it.
  15. I concur…definitely no need to lower your hairline…it can be reinforced without lowering it.
