Latisse is approaching a $500m dollar in sales for Allergan which says it is working as 50% are repeat patients. I know about a dozen when who use Latisse and in 3 months their eyelashes have grown thicker-- very very noticable! Its amazing. As a result, my mother in law in her 60s used it on her thinking eyebrows and in 4 months grew 100% back! (it is not indicated for eyebrows by the FDA just eyelashes)....So I wonder if it would work in the scalp--hairline??? It is very expensive $100 a month just for eyebrows--imagine the cost for enough product for the head! But if it works as well as I've seen it on eyelashes and eyebrows, I'll give it a shot as long as you dont have to keep using it (use it or loose it) like Rogaine!

Funny stuff. You will not find any current football players with HT because of the potential trama and scar tissue pain at incension site upon being hit. There are several retired football players and athletes who have had HT-- of course Wade Boggs as he has had to have several repair work done to look as he does now. One person being famous that looks different is Mathew McConahey-- google pics from 5-10 yrs ago in movies and now-- his hairline is much thicker (much like RObin Williams now who has been open about HT--- but both hairlines are way too thick now so I suspect it is a high dollar Hair System they both use now????)

Weight loss varies by individuals and the reason also varies. One thing that is a given, your body metobolic rate is the highest when it is digesting a small amount of food. Nutrient is the first step then excercise. Eating smal (size of your fist) portion of protien, nuts, fruits, ect every 2-3 hours (even when you are not hungry) will speed up your metobolic rate. Cut out the "white" carbs, sugars, breads, deserts and zero carbs after 1.00 will automatically drop pounds. If you drink soda--coke ect, replace with tea and you will drop 5-10lbs alone in 3 months. Empty calories are the worse! Once you get your nutrient with 5-6 small meals a day, then start with 3 days a week of Cardio/weight workout (45 min cardio of some sort then light high rep 15plus weight circuit training----- do your cardio after weight training for more calorie burn) Also workout in the morning before breakfast as your body will burn fat since it doesnt have anything in the system yet. Eat at least 50% protein the meal after the workout. This is a basic start plan then after 3 months you can get more specialized....this alone will drop you at least 10-15 lbs.

Where is the incension made-- behind the ears and necked pulled? I've seen some great results with micro punchures in the chin and jaw (so small doesnt even need stitches) and they lipo out the fat-- looks very natural the the skin retracts as well. But with the above pics, looks like more skin than fat so there needs to be a reduction or stretch-- how is that done?

Ive been on Proscar (Propecia) for 14yrs along with 10yrs of Rogaine and the rest of my vitamin routine. Proscar works differently for different people. Some it stops hair loss, some it slows it down (my case), and some it actually regrows. Every 4-5 months, I stop Propecia for 4 wks to cleanse my system and "SHOCK" my system, then resume-- I've never had a problem. So If you start back, I would assume given your previous experience and scalp reactions, that you probably would at least stop/slow down the HL-- as far as regrow-- that will be subjective by person. Its better to always be on the side of caution. Call the Dr in question and ask if he can go ahead and call in the antiboitic (worse case it will be preventative)--- 10yrs ago surgeons gave antiboitics pre and post op for preventive infectiions. Follow the advise on the scalp therapy and keep the scalp clean at least 1-2x a day with light shampooing. Also, DONT force your scabs off! This could create possible scarring-- just wash 1-2-3x a day and they should naturally come off. PLUS if you force them off and they are infected, you open fresh wounds that can spread the infection! SO DONT FORCE SCABS OFF. Things should be better in 10days after antibiotics and daily scalp washing. SMOOTHY

Generics and Branded drugs are very very similar (some cases the actual branded pharma co. manufactures the generics in the same plant for the generic companies in exchange for royalties-this is rare but does happen). In general, the it is the same drug ingredients but the dose migh vary slighlty--- 1.2mg or 0.8mg--- so the quality and control isnt there. But with a drug like Propecia that is cosmetic and not life threatening I dont see a problem. I personally take Prosar which is the same price for a 90 day pill supply as Propecia but Proscar is the 5mg vs. 1mg Propecia-- I split w/pill cutter 4 ways-- so each piece is a little over 1mg--- However, same price for same pills but last 4x longer-- 90 pills last 12 months. I think the lasar comb or any X5 type of treatment results vary from Individuals. Just like taking Propecia-- I've seen some results that have grown back a lot of hair and others that havent done anything. In science and medicine you have a degree of probable success with various clinical trials but their isnt ANYTHING out there medicine or other that is 100%. So just like one person reacts differently to drugs (some help some doesnt), I believe the Laser is the same-- it might help some and do nothing for others. If this was only $100 like a month of Propecia, I think most people would say go ahead and try it as you have nothing to loose. But at $500 or even $300 for the X5-- you need to have higher success rates to really recommend a person spending that kind of money. If a person can afford it, I say go ahead and give it a try. Hard to tell the size of your scar on the side with your pics but it looks like its just shock loss surrounding the scar which thins out the area-- this should grow back. A lot of docs pefer shaving recp. area but this is your personal choice-- if you have hair that you can comb over and hide or a job that you can wear a cap-- then shaving is the best for the surgeon as it will not slow him down. If not, then you can have it buzzed down to below an inch and this will help the surgeon as well as give you something to work with in concelment. No this is not normal with some of the better clinics. What happens if you have a emergency or illness? Most clinics have a $500 deposit with a 1 week cancelation default. Then you pay after your procedure. I will be "red flag" with full up-front payment?? I understand the economy is not so good and some might want to "lock in" revenue but not good for pay in advance.

Your doing the right thing by analyzing and thinking the process out. Given your assessment, I would recommend H/W focus more on the hairline and frontal core leaving the crown untouched. This will give you greater g/p/sq upfront given your limited donor and quality plus provide greater visual density---you can always style your hair to cover the crown. If you do the entire area, you might look too thin given your quality and your HT might be noticable. And Yes 1yr is enough time for the scalp to heal for the 2nd HT. You can do a lot of things and that doesnt mean you should! The graft survival of 100 g/p/sq is lower than saw 50 g/p/sq. You have higher risks of transections and longer placement as it take more time to place grafts this close which increases the time the grafts are being harvest (basically setting out longer). Also the Density isnt visually much greater over 50-60 versus higher amounts thus you could be wasting potential viable grafts that might be needed in the future with further HL. I've had several HT over the past 15 yrs and the last 2 I used Graphcyte and Rogain on the recepient area and it help speed up the dormant period (actually didnt even have a dormant period) and 95% of my grafts did not shed. Surgeons that guarentee ANYTHING prior to seeing the patient, HL stage, and Donor availability are RED FLAGS to me. Be careful. After consult, I can guarentee 1,000 grafts per sq/cm. but you might only have 1 small patch on your head!!!! Its not the density that a surgeon can place grafts-- they can get as dense as your donor allows given strategic thoughts of future hairloss-- its the natural style design with what amt of donor you have. You can wear it but I would recommend waiting a couple of days. If have to wear beanie then I would go ahead and have surgeon wrap the rep. area with gauge before you put on the beanie. Put it on front to back first and remove back to front first. My recommendation would be just to wear baseball cap! Lot less risks. Removing saples is no big deal. Shapiro actually gives paitent a staple removal in thier post op kit. From several procedures, it isnt that bad at all. Keep your sight clean everyday to avoid any scabbing on strip. ICE down your incesion with ICe pack- for 30min prior to staple removal-- this NUMBS the entire back of the head. Worked for me!
