  1. Looking good, Dr. Gur was on my short list so I think you made a soild choice. Graft count and density looks about right. Is that what was quoted in the consult? How'd you like working with him, I hear the techs are great there. Did you travel far for the procedure? I'm always keen to know about people's travel post op. I've never read that CVG before, that's curious. Has it been reducing day to day though? Cheers man and happy growing it's all up from here
  2. Hey Mo, I'd also look at Dr Camcho in Bogota... and then also along with Dr Turan in Turkey... Dr. Gur as well. It's gotta come down to evaluating the short list doctor results... and your needs. Then cater your plans around that. I think if you can hanging in the place of surgery for a few days post op is of value rather than hop on a plane soon after. I know that can be the only option in some cases... but giving it a couple days of rest and post op attention of spraying grafts and being careful seems smart to me. I'd price it all out via the short list great result doc choices and time needed travel wise and then schedule availability... then book it what aligns best with your needs. That's what I did, ended up choosing Eugenix. I feel good about that, I have to contend with a longer flight but when it's all said and done results matter most and that worked best for me.
  3. Wow! what a major procedure! This is gonna be a fun one to watch. Hope your travels home go well and looking forward to reading the full detailed post!
  4. Unfamiliar with him but have heard good things about Dr. Nader. There are some results you can find in search function... also @GoliGoliGoli might be able to provide some additional insight about Nader.
  5. Just a fantastic result... very impressive! I see Eugenix next month for also a smaller procedure as well and love seeing results like this.
  6. Also here's the thing... at 5600 you could travel overseas to a solid results based doc and get more grafts and a better result. Dr Gur and Dr Turan in Turkey... Eugenix in India... just to name a few options. There are more. These affordable options can fall into your budget. All in, flight included. So scope around this forum and see what's what. The 1k loss sucks... but ultimately the alternative is much more of a drag.
  7. Exactly what Pbaird days here. Seriously man, you dodged a bullet no question. You'll be able to find a good option to suit your needs and budget and get quality work. The procedure is the deal, period full stop. So stuff around that, travel... a wait list... research and more research... it's all worth it.
  8. Looks like your right in line with what's to be expected, nice results at this stage!
  9. Yeah you should be alright... some shedding, those early days pictures looked good, so shedding at this point is normal.
  10. Wow this thread... what a journey Nordster. Given the past with H&W I'd be inclined to discuss the fine tuning with them. I see the issues but also see the improvements so not the worst situation to be in. I understand the don't go back to them sentiment but bettering these results doesn't seem major to me and definitely seem in their capabilities. Hang in there man, you'll get it right.
  11. I'lll be curious to see this thread too. I've always felt like eh marginal, can't hurt. To what degree it helps, eh dubious. But to be fair, I've not looked into it much so... great questions!
  12. I also at this point would not recommend Diep given what's been displayed and that 20 year old in particular. In looking and reading more about Diep, I land on the he should not be a recommended surgeon on here. I understand that not every result is a home run and there are variables, but one thing I've felt about the surgeon list here (and yes I understand the pay to be listed aspect) was that it had more vetted credibility than say the ISHRS or those other acronyms. That credibility is put into question keeping a person like Diep on here given these issues. That said I don't envy the mods in this task, the metrics for removal could open a can of worms of demands for removal after a couple sub par results and given the variables it's always tough to know. But with Diep I've seen enough to go ahead and endorse the idea of adios. Perhaps have a road back available but as it stands that kind of work can't be recommended here, something has changed there from the earlier days of better success and standards.
  13. Looks great and looks like you've been doing post op to a tee. Solid stuff!
  14. Pretty stand up process with this thread. I was reading that previous thread thinking a soultion could be the same as adding a surgeon same process in the removal, good move. I'll need to do more of a dive on this to vote. My inclination would be to vote yes because of the obvious but since I've been around I(not long) 've not seen Diep mentioned much except these recent concerning issues, itll be curious to see what folks who have had soild results might say. But gotta say well handled.
  15. I'd venture at like 2000 grafts and I think you're on the right track with Mwamba. I'm not entirely sure about other docs who are good with AA hair but wonder if some of the Dr. Gur or Dr. Turan in Turkey are adept at it, I'd imagine so the characteristics I'd think would be similar to some middle eastern hair that is on the curlier side. Good luck some folks here should have some better insight, you'll get it sorted right.
  16. Just reviewing this thread, great results! Knocked it out of the park!
  17. I'd bring some sport SPF spray and spray over the head frequently throughout the day... that stuff is water resistant and should provide enough protection for you... also wear a hat when you can.
  18. Probably FUT however, keep in mind as you'll recall the downtime from that FUT healing is longer than FUE... so if you're active and stuff that might be a factor. 2k grafts isn't that much and this being 3rd HT you might be settling into the a good place with your hair so donor preservation might be not that big a difference with FUt vs FUE at this point
  19. What's been said is good, @Vineyand @Gatsby make solid points. Regarding clinics....fuecapilar is a good turkey option. There are others too, not a lot and as some have said a full on minefield of bad. So definitely research research. A bad job with that number of grafts would be a disappointment and waste of donor and you time and effort.
  20. @Jackdanielswith some sage advice... I looked into Turkey and from my estimation those are the ones worthwhile and showing consistent patient results.
  21. I had to look up broccoli fringe... what an apt term for a hairstyle 😅
  22. Yeah it'd be about 14 days off that you'd need... 7 to 10 days you're good to resume most normal stuff but entering a possible fire I'd day best a soild couple weeks recovery. For the grafts primarily, the donor area will be fine rather quickly. Yeah looking at your hair, totally doable. Fill the crown build a conservative hairline. Graft wise I'd guess and I mean guess, like 3500 grafts? Other here will likely have a better evaluation. Definitely a doable thing. Be sure... 100% be sure to research research and research your options and clinics... this forum is an exceptional tool and resource to that end. There are a lot of quack HT places out there you'd want to avoid. And more importantly i gotta say major hat tip to you and your profession... I've done some citizens academies and was a fire explorer scout as a youth. A small window into it all for me but an honor to spend time with some really great people. Thank you and appreciate the work you do. Back to the issue hand though, you've arrived at a great place to scope around and see results from clinics and patients. Also folks here are super helpful and bound to answer questions you might have.
  23. I'm thinking as I zoom in you got a lot there yet to really present themselves visually ... sure you have those longer ones but quite a few stubs not really as apparent... I suspect you'll be ok and pretty pleased over the next couple months
