  1. and it didn't affect anything negatively? I'm also reading that Ammonia Free and Semi Permanent dyes are ok Just another test for patience on this journey!
  2. Hi Guys - When is it safe to use a hair dye after a FUE hair transplant? I'm on month 5 and my consultant recommended waiting till month 9. I usually use L'Oréal Paris Men Expert One-Twist Hair Color Dark Brown and it says its powered by an ammonia-free gel technology which is semi-permanent. But have heard many different opinions and wondering if any one has any experience? thanks! N
  3. Yeah good topic and what you say makes sense. Of course I wouldn't want to damage any new growth at this stage so being cautious. Let me know if you find out any info thanks man
  4. Looking good man, sure it will turn out well! I had mine done 4 months ago and was told to wait till month 9 to dye hair. What's your info on this? I also have dark brown hair. cheers
  5. Hi Guys, I am 4 months post fue op where I had 5000 grafts into mid scalp and crown and a few near hairline. I have been on daily 1mg Fin and Topical Minoxidil for those 4 months. Hair is looking pretty good BUT I can't tell if it's new growth or the meds that have made the improvement. When i look closely I haven't noticed new growth yet - it's hard to see as diffuse hair loss. Does Fin/Minoxidil give new hair growth? I thought it was to stop further loss. Thanks for any thoughts! 6. thanks for the insight, that makes sense. So assuming they are grafts that haven't grown or shed yet is that normal at this stage?
  7. hi guys, I'm 8 weeks post fue transplant and I can feel Spiky Little Hairs in between the old hair when I run my fingers through my hair (recipient area) Is this new growth? Or? They are not noticeable to see so can't see any viual difference when looking in mirror. Thanks! N
  8. thanks for the support John will keep the forum posted of results
  9. Thanks for the encouragement man and yes aware of shedding so hopefully it's all normal.
  10. Thanks man, yes already have fairly good frontal density so the plan was to reinforce hairline and fill out the rest including some on crown. Yes I had learned about bleeding being a tell tail sign of dislodging a graft so hopefully it's ok. Thank you. I'll post updates as I find this platform so supportive and inspiring!
  11. Posted yesterday at 10:34 AM Hi Guys, I am 53 and started thinning/balding during the last 10 years. I got a FUE Hair Transplant on November 2nd 2022 and wanted to share a little of my journey so far. 5000 grafts were taken from the donor area to help with my thinning hair. Plan was to reinforce hairline then high density in frontal area then improve crown. I don't know the exact distribution. I've joined this super helpful forum post-op and have learned so much about the whole topic that I wasn't really aware of before. I really appreciate all the expertise and community here! My main question is if you think things look normal looking at the photos from Day of Op to 3 weeks post? MAIN CONCERN: I've been worried that I was rubbing & messing with my recipient area and lost grafts. No interference or issues with recipient area until scabs and itchy scalp around day 6-9 but no bleeding either. I guess I am looking for reassurance that the progress looks ok as like many I'm thinking that there's no real change from what it was like before? The guide from the clinic inIstanbul has been very reassuring over WhatsApp but I wanted to share with you guys too. Appreciate any comments thank you!
