  1. Without a doubt the worst clinic for communication.
  2. I have some doubles on the hairline from my first surgery. Just weighing up options. I don’t think the full hairline needs to be lowered in the same shape, so I think it could be around 400-600 grafts.
  3. Thanks for sharing. Do you think 400 grafts is the minimum a clinic would agree to? Did you have to pay more as a minimum price? In both examples, the difference is pretty impressive for such a small number.
  4. Hi guys, I’m wondering what the smallest surgery we’ve seen on this forum is? As in, lowest amount of grafts. Has anyone had 200 grafts or lower and yet the difference is still significant? Genuinely curious…
  5. Just wondering, how long did the shock loss stage last for you then @HappyMan2021 on your last transplant? As in, all hairs fell out and the recipient area looked completely bald again? From reading the previous updates from @RTC, the completely bald stage of shedding didn’t last long for him and hairs started to show, but now they’ve not continued to grow…
  6. How long did the shock loss / shedding last for by the way? As in, how long was it all almost completely gone before it started growing back to that? @Phillyman1996 Like others have said, it’s similar to the pictures for a few days after surgery, so you shouldn’t expect much better than that. Don’t you have any pictures from immediately after surgery?
  7. Looking good mate. 12 weeks is still nothing really. Give it another 6-8 weeks and I reckon you’ll see a big difference. Are you happy with the hairline itself? Graft direction etc. all good?
  8. Hi all, As a few of you may know, I’m considering a second surgery after getting a first transplant in Turkey a few years ago. But a few things are making me question whether I can go through it again… I wanted to ask about shock loss / shedding. I felt that the first time this wasn’t too bad, but from seeing people’s threads on here it is obvious that you can’t predict how long this will last. So please let me know your experience, how long from noticing the new hair falling out to it starting to grow back.. I remember reading one thread where someone’s hair didn’t grow back for months, is that normal or will he not have received good results? (I can’t find the thread now, it might have been on a different website).
  9. I’ve just been through your thread and I personally think your results are looking great so far. I think 99% of people on this forum would kill to have even had your pre-op hair, but I definitely see a difference already with the new hairline and temples. I definitely think you’re in a good place for 4 months. By 6 months you’ll be spot on. How much does Pinto charge per graft? He’s definitely on my radar now, if I can get on this of course..
  10. Could you show a close up of the hairline, facing forward please @captaincalico? The head down photos show incredible density. I would also like to see how natural the hairline looks. Thanks in advance.
  11. “Whatever was implanted grew” might be true, but the noticeable gaps to the native hair must go down as doctor error. He clearly hasn’t calculated correctly and implanted enough grafts. I really don’t know how you can defend this and say a free touch up isn’t warranted.
  12. But perhaps being in surgery until midnight or 1am isn’t a good thing. I’ve read a few comments about how he’s a perfectionist and takes his time, but isn’t the long days because he has two patients a day? If he only performed one surgery a day it wouldn’t be as long. Implantation starting at 7pm or 8pm when he’s already been in for 12 hours might not be the best option for anyone.
  13. This is an amazing thread @Gatsby Congratulations on your new head of hair. Personally I think you should get the sides cut shorter than the top. It would make you look even better. Quick question, did you get any kind of discount for letting them film you? Do you mind sharing the total cost of the procedure? Apologies if I missed it somewhere on the thread already.
  14. Amazing. From my calculations you’ve saved 1815€… I bet others reading this will be kicking themselves!
  15. Any chance you could post more pictures from different angles please @captaincalico? Or do you have Instagram you don’t mind sharing? 🙏
  16. Hey @captaincalico what date was your third surgery? Your posts are only 2 months apart so this picture surely isn’t 2 months after you shaved your head again?
  17. Thank you. I think a few of us are considering Mwamba, so it’s good to see recent cases. Did you have the PRP done? I know it’s extra, so was wondering if people think it makes a difference..
  18. Hello. Just wondering if anyone has ever had their surgery cancelled by the clinic at short notice? I’m not looking for people to name and shame, but was wondering how often this happens. Surely it does happen sometimes, if the doctor is ill for example? I guess I’m paranoid that I’d lose out on flights and stuff if an appointment was cancelled at short notice.
  19. Amazing! You said it didn’t take as long this time for the 1200 grafts but just wondering how longe exactly? One day?
  20. Really insightful stuff. Thanks for posting. Have you had a transplant yet? I saw another thread on here by @mustangand he put Mwamba in his top 10 and said Bisanga wouldn’t be. How easy or difficult is it to compare doctors? Is there a level of subjectivity?
  21. Hi. Do you mind me asking what price you’ve been quoted for this? If there’s no plug removal is it just the same price as someone with virgin scalp for that amount of grafts? Thanks
  22. Hi. Can I ask what constitutes a repair? Is it just a second transplant in the same area? So in his case the hairline? I believe he won’t be having any plug removal, so does the doctor just add more grafts to the same area? Maybe lower the hairline further?
