  1. After one month, it will be noticable period. Both in the donor and recipient. Especially if Konior requires shaving. However, you have existing hair that you can comb over the work. If you do that, keep the donor long, and use dermatch for any donor shockloss, you may be ok.
  2. Bathroom and office type lights are the harshest no doubt. Sunlight is not as harsh. Overhead bathroom lights are so harsh that in my mind they are not representative of what one looks like 95% of the time. Even a full head of hair under these lights can look a bit see through trust me.
  3. Ok so if my donor density before my first procedure was about 110 and 80 before my second, I wonder why only about 2600 were able to be taken in round 2. My laxity was decent. Rahal said if I do any more, it should be FUE and I have 2000 max left. However, with these numbers, I would think I have more left???
  4. And this my friends is why hair makes all the difference in many many men. Unbelievable!!
  5. I looked it up. It is a pen used for touch ups like for wide parts, scars, very small thinning areas, etc.
  6. In looking at my graft breakdown from my SECOND procedure, I noticed that my donor density before the strip was taken was about 80 grafts per sq cm. Note that I had 5229 grafts taken out in my first procedure. Is 80 grafts per sq cm considered decent for a second procedure where over 5000 were already harvested in the first? I think the answer is yes but wanted to check with you guys.
  7. Thanks Gill. I have started applying rogain to it so I guess we will see...
  8. Sean - It's really not bad at all and I would not even waste grafts to fix it. Why do you say it would be a big pain to do so?
  9. I have a small patch at the donor site where not all the native hair has returned. Its not a big deal cosmetically but I am at 9 months post op and typically all the shocked hair should have come back by now in the donor. Has anyone seen delayed donor shock loss grow back past 9 months? I think Agent Eye was seeing similar donor shock loss that had not grown back even at 12 months which still had not returned. I remember Dr. Feller saying that he has never seen a case where donor shock loss did not grow back. And yes, I am 100% sure its not scar stretching
  10. I added dutasteride for 8 months (2-3 times weekly) along with Fin every day which I had been taking for 4 years. I am quite certain the dut made things worse so I ditched it at 8 months and am staying with the fin. Not to say Fin was like magic for me but it slowed down my loss I believe while Dut seemed to speed it up.
  11. Very nice. You gotta love these NW "A" guys. They are very lucky. That "A" makes a HUGE difference.
  12. I know that conventional thinking states that the crown is the black hole for grafts. I understand why this can be the case but I also disagree as long as the following is done. Proper planning by doc and patient is done taking into consideration styling of the crown so it can be styled in such a way as to shingle the hair as much as possible, grow it longer where it needs to be and so on. I think simply adding hairs to the crown and styling it the way one did before hair loss will cause it to look thin and be a black hole as the hairs will naturally go in many different directions and the HT hair is not being used wisely for density from a styling perspective. By the way, I am NOT talking about applying a comb over
  13. I recommend 100%. Check out my link below.
  14. I would say the cutoff should be 28 unless the patient already has extensive loss before then. Also, and this is just my opinion, NW2s should never be worked on for several reasons.
  15. I live in ct and have not heard of this doc. The docs in NY are far better than CT.
  16. Just curious. For those that have done scar revisions, did the revision strip also yield a few usable grafts (Assuming the only goal was to make the scar better but a few grafts happen to be in the strip taken out)?
  17. Thanks. Do you have a link to it by any chance?
  18. Has anyone ever done a FUT/FUE combo with Rahal in one sitting that you know of? I have not seen such a case. Does he do this ever?
  19. Looks great!!! One question. Is that considered a less than optimal scar or is it just the black hair contrasting with the white scalp?
  20. Strange, your free Testosterone should have gone up!!
  21. Did your hair ever recover?
  22. I was on it for 8 months and I seemed to lose hair faster than ever. I assume a shed does not last for 8 months so I dropped it assuming its doing more hard than good.
