  1. If yield is similar on smaller cases, then why does it matter whether they do motorized vs. manual extraction?
  2. Good luck. Glad to see some more FUE's from U.S. docs. Hope you post pics.
  3. I've even noticed that with toppik on my head my hair looks ok in sunlight but in certain indoor lighting, especially dimly lit rooms and under direct light it looks much worse. I've always thought that it's the contrast of direct overhead lighting vs. surrounding ambient light which is worse indoors.
  4. Thanks for replies, more will be added but I'm only looking to cover the frontal and forelock. Waiting for propecia to hopefully do a decent job on the crown, since it seems to be working a bit. I think the apparent decrease in native hair is more projectional then anything else and maybe due to hair length discrepancy. All other pics seem to show stabilization and even a little growth. I was wondering whether this is expected for 1400 grafts, and how many more i may need to give decent density to the grafted area.
  5. I'm almost 1 year out of a 1400 graft procedure and would like to hear opinions and thoughts on the results. I don't have exact hair count numbers but ~ 1's-710 2's-635 3's-55
  6. How much do you use for each application if you're going through 2 bottles/ month. I've just started using rogaine foam and am wondering if i should be leaving a nice liquid film on my head or just using a light amount to cover the necessary areas.
  7. I'm past the first month, having been using baby shampoo since, but it is drying out my scalp. Looking for something else now.
  8. I'd like to shampoo every night so that I can wash off the cover up and toppik and let my scalp air out over night. My doc recommended an expensive shampoo that must be ordered. I'm wondering whether anyone has tried any "over the counter" shampoos that have helped and are not harsh on the scalp.
  9. Any recommendations on a good shelf stocked shampoo after the first month, post transplant? How do those compare with revivogen and other supposedly scientifically formulated shampoos? Is there any need to use a mild shampoo anymore? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  10. This is my third time on it. First was for 3.5 years and it completely stopped hair loss and even thickened my hair. Second was for 2 years and it stopped hairloss. Third is now. Each time I noticed immediate loss after stopping the meds. I came off for fears of certain side effects.
  11. I had an FUE and had to see some friends the next day. I found that a loose fitting (2 sizes too big) fitted style baseball cap covered the extraction area nicely as well as seemed to cover the recipient area without touching it.
  12. Hairlines are measured from the top of eyebrows. I just had mine done and measured it at 8cm, and I'm happy I didn't go lower than that. This way it's a less drastic change from the way I've looked the last 5 years and I have more on reserve for future treatments.
