  1. I think he's just blessed with good genes, I think your natural arguments are pretty much on point. Ronald Reagan always stayed a NW0 too.
  2. No, you shouldn't go there, avoid them like hell. I browsed through the first 30-40 followers and then stopped. They have nothing to do with the clinic, random people from all around the world, they got those followers via apps like Gramblr and Combin where you buy credits and get random followers in return. https://www.instagram.com/p/CBN09uYJ3TN/ --> Check out this result (video,9th slide) and tell me it looks natural with that pluggy, straight hairline? As for the photos, they can photoshop them, but it's harder to fool anyone on video.
  3. Yeah, you're pretty much right, almost the same efficacy, maybe less % of side effects though.
  4. Scalp DHT reductions with various doses of finasteride:
  5. So in the end it came out to 4300 grafts? You mentioned how much was estimated (3300-3500), but then couldn't find any further information.
  6. Looks good so far. You have a very youthful appearance, you get your hair back and you'll look 40 tops.
  7. Based on the results posted by patients on this forum, I'd say Saifi is pretty safe, yeah. You can never expect perfection from HTs, especially from a first procedure, usually it takes more than one, if you're really lucky one might do it, but this again depends on your own expectations. I'd say you should lower the bar to expecting a good result, rather than an amazing result that would solve all your hair loss issues. I really like Melvin's post, the illusion of density, I think it's very on point with the reality of hair restoration. I'm in need of a 2nd procedure and will go with a renowned clinic but I can't and don't expect to turn back time and have the same hair as before any hair loss occurred. Still, if you're hoping for an improvement that's always the right approach. Okay, this is actually very interesting. I couldn't find any Anastasakis cases so far, however I just found the clinics FB page and the results there are stellar. It would nice to see some actual patients posting their results though.
  8. Dr. Saifi seems to be a safer choice, not that I want to dismiss Dr. Anastasakis, but I couldn't find any results from him, it's just his CV that's impressive.
  9. Just.. WOW. Absolutely stunning, ultra refined and soft, natural hairline, you could never tell this patient had a HT. 😮
  10. I would say you needn't worry of any side effects, at least not with minoxidil. Topical use of minoxidil is considered to be safe, approved by the FDA, millions of people are using it on a daily basis, I've yet to hear of any heart-related issues with topical minoxidil, the systemic absorption is just insignificant to do any damage. I myself have been using minoxidil (both topical and low-dose oral) and finasteride for the last 10 years and so, no side effects whatsoever. Even with finasteride side effects are very rare and (imho) are more psychological or nocebo generated. But it's up to you, I'm just saying you need to hold on to your native hair too somehow. Sadly, it's more likely you'll lose this by taking natural supplements only. I applaud your consideration for a future HT using beard grafts. You might wanna look into Eugenix for your next HT, they do excellent BHTs. You have some nice thick beard and dense chest hair. At this point you really need to be mindful of your donor capacity. This is just my personal opinion, you might wanna consult with a clinic, but it seems to me you've got maybe about 3000 grafts left as you've got significant thinning around the crown region so I'm not sure what's the extent of your safe donor area. Anyway, good luck with your hair loss journey and keep us updated, please.
  11. I hope so too, I reckon you'll be thrilled with the final outcome in 7-8 months or so. Hopefully there'll be more Lifehair patients posting on this forum too, this is the first one I believe. The hairline design is good and seemingly well refined, I'd say this is on par with most of the HLC results I've seen, and they are a very reputable clinic also based in Ankara. The only thing that concerns me is that you're only 24, had 4000 grafts extracted already and - I hope you don't mind me being so blunt - but you seem to have very aggressive MPB, looks like were heading for NW6-7. You're using Xpecia which is just saw palmetto + biotin, albeit at a more expensive price. I hate to say it, but that won't cut it in your case. I've been a longtime poster on a treatment based forum and I've seen guys who never had the courage to take fin and instead just went with saw palmetto and I cannot recall a single successful case of long term maintenance. A word of advice, jump on finasteride instead and use minoxidil too twice a day, that might even give you some regrowth around the crown region, while also maintaining your mid scalp region. You don't wanna lose your native hair, it would be really hard to cover all that from subsequent HTs.
  12. Rossybop, I thought you were going with Anastasakis. 😮
  13. Yes, HDC would be a good choice. Do you mind sharing pictures to estimate how many grafts you might really need? There's Dr. Barghouthi too, I had a video consultation with him yesterday and he told me he's got a few available dates in January. He charges 3 USD per graft which would be within your budget. Dr. Arshad in the UK can also be considered, or Dr. Saifi, HLC, Dr. Pekiner, they all charge about the same (well, Dr. Arshad is slightly more expensive than the rest). Oh, and Eugenix of course.
  14. Dr. Barghouthi, this is an excellent result! 😍 Especially considering the patient has really course hair, that ratio of triples and quadruples is the highest I've ever seen. 😮 I've just said in a different post that female HT results really showcase a surgeon's skills, and this particular example shows what a great aesthetic surgeon you are imo.
  15. I've never been impressed by Farjo. Certainly, by UK standards he is acceptable, but not in the same league as the 2 elite HT surgeons in the UK (Dr. Ball, Dr. Reddy), and not even on the same planet as the best ones charging the same price. He can not produce high density HTs and I've seen a couple of bad results and almost no outstanding ones. I have this theory that what truly shows how skilled a surgeon is are the results they get from female HTs and one of his results in that department, actually featured on his website is just unnatural and sub-standard imo.
  16. That too. Works great to improve overall density and thickness. 4-5 drops of Kirkland minoxidil in my tea (equivalent of around 7-8 mg), never had any sides.
  17. I think it's because minox contains alcohol and it makes your scalp dry. I've used Lipogaine, Kirkland and Tugain throughout the years, but lately I found that my scalp is not itching at all if I apply foam minoxidil with a bit of coconut oil. Prevents your scalp from drying out.
  18. So I had a video consultation with David Anderson from the Maitland Clinic, and it was very reassuring. He said they could add extra density to my hairline and transplant through the thin areas, while also reusing some of the odd multi grafts in the hairline by moving them behind. He was very professional and pleasant. However, they are fully booked until April. He also said that this could be achieved with roughly 600-700 grafts, which seemed like a very low estimate. What do you guys think, could that be enough to make a cosmetic impact?
  19. I agree with the others, that's not a huge bald spot, just some light thinning. You've recently started using fin and min, wait for a full year at least to evaluate things. You shouldn't consider surgery at all imho. My crown area was a lot worse than yours and it has nicely thickened up thanks to many years of meds like fin, dut and minoxidil (both topical and oral). Try microneedling too and perhaps a PRP/PRF, but defo not surgery.
  20. I love the hairline design. Also looks like very clean and professional work. Happy growing!
