    Month 15 Update

It is now 8 months since I had the crown done. I would say that this last month I have seen the most change to date, especially with the scalp and beard hair blending . Humps seemed to have filled in nicely. I’d say I’m very close to being able to look like I have a full head of hair, especially when slicking back. Have been using a sprinkle of hair fibres on the crown for special occasions, mainly just to give it an aesthetic edge while it slowly grows (there are no fibres in any of my pics on here though btw). I know I’ve said it 1000 times, but I couldn’t have wished for a better outcome and am incredibly thankful I was able to achieve such a good result. It has been truly life-changing for me and has given me so much confidence across many aspects of my life.

Hi guys, here is my Month 8 progress. The widow's peak formation has probably been the most prominent in terms of overall thickening and maturity from month 7 to 8. I feel like the hairline has dropped visually because of of the growth in that area.

I was keeping my hair longer on top and the sides but realized that as I grew it out, I was dealing with a lot more split ends and breaking as my hair would thin out with more length.  Because I have wavy hair it was also curling out making it very difficult to style. I decided to cut it down a little on top, and go with the high and tight look.

This is the first time I got a zero cut fade on the sides since the procedure and was the true test to see if the 5200 + grafts extracted would stand its ground and hold up in all areas. My hairdresser could barely see where the extractions were unless he really focused his eyes on it up close. And that was after he shaved me down at 0. With how homogenously the donor was managed, it really sets me up beautifully if I ever needed more work done in the future. I'm so fortunate to have had some of the best techs in the business at @Eugenix Hair Sciences managing that part of the procedure for me.

    7-Month Update

Hard to believe its already 7 months. I'm thinking of coloring/dying my hair, what are your suggestions on best/safe product to use? I personally think the temple point can be made a bit more aggressive to give more framing of the face, and perhaps some additional density behind the hairline. That might be my hair greed, but that is what I may end up doing at some point in the future....what do you all think?

@GeneralNorwood The suggestion to use hair mask did really help smooth out the beard hair in the crown, will continue to do that. See you all at month 8.

Just would like to add few more notes.

Today is 4th of June, so I am now 3 days away from exactly 5 month (or at least I think so haha). However, I am travelling tomorrow to visit my sister and not gonna lie, the way my scalp was shining through with the thin hair was not a pleasant view and made once again self-conscious, which annoyed the hell out of me because I went for HT literally not to be in this kinda of situation. So anyhow, to not deal with this stuff, I buzzed my hair to a 1, so I can enjoy my holiday and be less concerned with how things are looking.

With that said though, I obviously took more pictures (all of them are from today), did few crappy selfies in different light conditions just so people get the idea and even made a comparison between my post-op buzz cut(which I loved btw) and my new buzz to compare (slight length difference I know) but unfortunately, it still does show how much my front and middle has either been lost (hopefully not) or has not kicked in yet (hoping for the latter obviously, but we will see).

But yeah, I was not expecting to buzzing my head at 5 month post hair transplant but here we are.

    As always though, feedback appreciated!

Hey all, just wanted to share some updated results as it's now been 10 months.  I had always read that growth can happen all the way up to 12 mos, and although I couldn't picture my hair getting any thicker it seems that it actually has a bit.  I've been ecstatic with the results Eugenix has produced, especially considering I was basically completely bald and not considered a good candidate by other clinics.

HALL OF FAME!!! So interesting that other clinics didn't think you were a good candidate. I shared that about me in my post...and here you have it, absolutely incredible results.

    Enjoy!

Adam you are looking like a different person, shaved years off you ! know that feeling well getting rejected by top docs (I didn't even make past the patient adviser, at my local forum recommended doc, before being quickly shown the door)  .. it makes you super sceptical of HT outcomes. I've come to the conclusion, that when I heard the "you are not a candidate" what was actually meant was  "sorry, we don't have the confidence to take your case". Your result is amazing for seven months, and honestly still more improvements to come, especially will all that beard in the mid-scalp. Interestingly, I was at seven months when we met in India.

Great points, @Bandit90- It's about finding the right clinic with the confidence. Wishing you continued growth as well as yours is turning into a masterpiece for display!!!

  7. Month 7

It seems to keep getting better :). Now that my mother in law, ‘top hair scrutinizer’ said, “I really can’t believe how full your hair looks!”, I know for sure that I have achieved solid results :).

I remember when in India, as well as, afterwards @Zoomster, @Bandit90 and @MazAB telling me they thought my results would be amazing and I was hesitant to believe them- partially to keep my hopes and expectations in check, but also because my level of loss was a lot and my hair caliber is on the finer side.

In addition, I was told by one VERY reputable and well known clinic who we ALL know and respect that they didn’t feel that I was a very good candidate, but would accept me if I’d be happy with a light coverage in front and on top. Another local doctor who used to be recommended here told me he could never cover my crown (although, I hear that he tells this to a lot of candidates). Hopefully, I am not jinxing myself by saying this- lol.

And then came, Eugenix…with expertise in these situations and vast knowledge of extracting and mixing beard hairs!

Zoomster and Bandit90 had similar stories of being rejected by clinics only to have received life changing results from Eugenix.

I’ve decided to let the hair grow and see where it goes. As we know, fellas, length and styling are our friends, in creating the illusion.

I’ve yet to cut the top and haven’t cut the sides in 3-months.

These results from Eugenix are way above my expectations and I hope it will keep steady!

Photos attached in all different lighting with various styling in attempts to find which achieves the fullest look.

…and once again, without the amazing people on this forum and @Melvin- Moderator, this would never of happened!

Sorry I'm a little late to post my Month 7 update. I've seen some new growth, but I feel the majority of improvement is in the thickening of the new hairs. Let the months of maturity begin. 😁

Hard to spot weak areas, but if l had to point out areas slightly weaker than everywhere else, it would be the frontal center and left temple point. With it being only month 7, I have no doubt that has plenty of time for improvement as hair density will inevitably mature in the next few months, so it should catch up to everything else no problem.

Oral Minoxidil kick-started the growth for sure, but I had to lower my dosage to 1.25mg daily because my heart rate jumped from 40 beats per minute to 60 when I was taking 2.5mg. No sides at all with heart rate at 1.25mg daily. To compensate for the microdose, I'm taking topical Minoxidil 5%, and upgraded my Dutasteride dosage to every 4th day, instead of once weekly. Taking Fin, of course, on the days I'm not taking Dut. That regimen has been working very well over the last 2 months.

    Thanks guys!

    ~Maz

    7 months update

    Hi All

Im seriously thinking of growing out a ponytail to help fully close up crown hence the couple of pics attached with hair band to give a peek as to how things might look scraped back .

Pics are 5 mins after shower with towel dry no product of any sort In hair ..just comb

one indoor pic from behind in favourable lighting to show you how the beard grafts sit naturally without product

One thing of note is I’ve stopped applying fibres over the last month .

Just kind of happened organically such is the improvements I’m seeing I’m feeling confident enough to do this ..I’ll always  have some in reserve though

    Month 14 Update

I just wanted to share some photos after a haircut around 10 days ago. Also, I am now coming up to seven months since the second sitting where I had grafts into the crown, humps and back of temples. The crown seems to improve each month too (albeit at glacial speed). Humps wise I’m really happy with Dr Sethi’s decision to implant into here, in my oppnion this has drastically improved the aesthetics of the side profiles from the first sitting results. Also, the 100 grafts behind each temples have helped improve the profiles too. I also want to highlight, how short I am getting away with on the haircuts, regularly using a 1 guard with fade cuts and very few signs of 5,800 grafts being taken. Going to give a crown a few more months too and make the call on whether to do another HT early next year to seal the deal (..and join the 10k+ graft crew).
