Thought I would also include some more shots of the same angles, but this time under very bright, harsh sunlight, so you can see the good, bad, and ugly.  In these, the shock loss in the donor is more noticeable, at the top of the zone where they took from in the back, its almost like a smiley face 😀

Will report back at month 4, and we should hopefully start to see that clearing up!

@Capelli21I would agree with @mrmane85that the donor even at this point looks acceptable. Looks like you have a buzz cut to me, but it will most definitely improve!

The top is looking incredible, especially for 3 months! This is going to be epic! Hold on tight...

So it’s been seven months and getting a lot of compliments on the hair. To me it looks great sometimes and still see thru at other times. But I know this will get better and it’s not the case that I’ll ever get that natural density. I just mean my OCD is made for finding flaws haha

I have took pics in the natural light in my studio and tried to show normal viewing angles vs more extreme when you can see how thin it is across the midscalp. My hair is not really long. About an inch and a half in length now so I know with more length this will help again

I think later this year I will definitely book in for a final pass next year with the hope to flood the midscalp and lateral humps as I am very happy with the hairline and crown. I just would love some actual sort of density across the middle

I am just over 2 month on OM now and hoping that might thicken my hair strands up at some point too  fingers crossed 🤞🏻

But overall I am happy atm

Looking great! Will continue to thicken and when you grow longer and comb backwards, it will make look a lot more full with virtually no spaces.

You mentioned apparent 'anagen desychronization' in the midscalp where lots of beard hairs were implanted...   is beard hair just known to be more susceptible to it than scalp donor is?

BTW, This is just an unimaginable result, especially considering where you started from, it's hard to even wrap the mind around.  And knowing that there's still time for the crown to get even better...  you must be speechlessly giddy every time you pass by a mirror 😀

Hi @Capelli21- Good question about 'anagen desychronization'- My understanding is that beard hairs have a much shorter cycle than scalp grafts so what @Bandit90may be experiencing is not necessarily anagen desych, but beard hairs going into a telogen phase and then again, of course, it could be anagen desych, but I don't think beard hairs are more susceptible to it.

Hello guys, just checking in to share a little update, as 2 months just passed last week.  I definitely have experienced a little shock loss of native hairs (from last year's HT) on my midscalp.  I want to say there's been a tiny bit of loss in the crown too, but not as much as the midscalp area, probably bc the crown was less dense to start.

I still have some loss in the scalp donor as you can see, there are strange patterned lines.  Ive spoken to Eugenix about it, and they said they feel confident this will start to clear up around month 4, and as Hard as it is...  I trust them.  I just shave it down with a 1/2 guard to minimize it cause it looks horrible when grown out.

Not much else to report, feel free to ask any questions, otherwise see you at month 3!

Thanks @Shadman- Much appreciate your support!

I was connected with prospective Eugenix patient who asked me if all of the hassle, expense, etc. was worth it.

I told him that on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest, I was say an 11. So worth it! I've grown (not just hair) and continue to grow from this experience.

    Month-8 Update:

Density improving every month in the hairline, and also the crown. I think there is probably another 10% improvement left, time will tell. My current hair maintenance routine is 1\ Daily Finasteride, 2\ Daily Biotin, 3\ Laser Cap 2-3 times a week. I stopped using minoxidil foam since the procedure, and not super inclined to use the oral variant at the moment. At some point in the future I do want to bring in the temple point a bit further, probably another 200-300 hairs maybe...

I would have met-up with Dr.P, but can't travel to the cities he is visiting, perhaps next time @Eugenix Hair Sciences.

  7. Month 10

Tomorrow is officially 10 months from day 1 of surgery which seems lke a lifetime ago. I understand why people stop posting after 5-6 months- they get their hair and move on.

Nothing major to report on my end as I haven't really notice any changes over the past month or two. I do see hairs in my brush, but nothing out of ordinary as people typically lose 50-100 hairs a day.

Here are some photos with different styling in different lighting.

I'm very grateful to this forum and all the contributors who help inform my journey and here is my way of giving back. Thank you @Eugenix Hair Sciences!

I’m sure forum members may pick up on the fact we’re probably good ole former Eugenix patient buddies etc ..but I’m sorry …this is the most remarkable hair restoration case I’ve ever witnessed..all things considered….

You were incredibly lucky that there was only one Doctor that could have and would have taken your case …and you found him and his team.

    Delighted for you

I would have to agree with @Zoomster here!

Absolutely incredible @Gatsby...we are so lucky we miraculously found the right clinic!

Holy crap another 4k grafts you're gonna be able to addition for a boy band

My train from New York to Philly got canceled the last minute. Unfortunately so I did not get to go see the doctor Which was very disappointing

Too funny @ready4Hair- I am actually in a 8 piece funk/rock/fusion band which was just re-formed a few years ago. This band formed when I was in college in the 90s and we just played for our 1st time in 27 years- in NYC. I got to tell you that it felt great to have hair on my head and an afro no less- LOL.

Sorry that the train was cancelled! Generally speaking, unless you have a unique case, you should be fine by sending photos of your situation to the Eugenix team.

  10. 9 Months

Can't believe it has already been 9 months.

I was in Philadelphia a couple of weeks ago when Dr. Pradeep came for consultations and it was amazing to see him again and talk some of the prospective HT patients through the Eugenix experience. Also incredible to meet some forum members and reconnect with @cavemanwhose results look most excellent.

Dr. Pradeep told me he could harvest another 3-3.5k grafts from my scalp and 2k+ from the beard which made me happy. HT #2 will likely be around 2.8-3k into the crown and possibly another 500-600 to add some density to the top.

Here are a few photos from the other day when visiting NYC.

I am VERY pleased! Thank you @Eugenix Hair Sciences

    9 Month update

Well folks it’s been a pretty stressful couple of weeks hair progress wise .

On the strength of a friends recommendation I decided to try “ Just for Men” grey reducing hair dye shampoo ..please to all members avoid at all costs ..long story short i lost a large number of grafts after my first application..could see a wet ponytail like clumb of grafts in the shower cubicle after the washing out of the shampoo ( you’ve to leave in for 2 mins ) it was almost tear inducingly stressful .

It wreaked havoc across my scalp with grafts lost in hairline and mid scalp ..

The Doc has assured me the lost grafts will grow back ..Ive been an Anagen desynchroniser with my last 2 procedures normally around 10months so I’ll be under the gun over the next couple of months ..fingers crossed all will be ok 🤞

The pics attached are with hair crème applied no fibres but probably some of that Devils product darkish hue on board .

Just haven’t the energy or headspace to write to the company and complain ..I’ve enough on my plate

Glad you got reassurance from Doc that all is not lost and you can’t even tell from the photos as your hair looks FULL

    Month 16 Update.

Now at month 9 for the crown.  Over the last month, I’ve noticed the beard hairs are beginning to blend in with the scalp. I met Dr Pradeep in London last month for a consult and he expects around 15-20% more hairs to pop through still (which I’m amazed at). As a Norwood 7, I have always had to have realistic expectations for the crown i.e. I’ll never have a real dense look, but if being honest it is surpassing my expectations. Plus 99% of the time I use the slick back style which now allows me to pull off a fullish-looking head of hair.

Looking amazing @Bandit90- with additional growth and proper styling, you are (will) look as if you never lost any hair!

@GeneralNorwood hey buddy thanks for checking out my post! Here is an update. I am right around 9 months post surgery. I am definitely seeing my hair growing out way faster and longer than before. Some density improvement is also visible but I find that I am still using toppik most of the time I go out or do things.

I will be meeting Dr. Pradeep tomorrow so we can discuss progress and potentially going for touch up on hairline, mid scalp, and lateral humps.

of course the crown was not covered densely the first time so we will also discuss goals and possibility of adding grafts there.

I specifically want to modify the hairline. I don’t know if I want lower or not but the left temple point seems super far back. Even my parents are saying that I should see if I can touch those spots up. I am happy with where I am at with this procedure but see room for improvement!!!

let me know what you guys think and if there’s any suggestions for helping my hairline match my face/ any specific areas that I should address.

also these pictures were taken after I used shampoo and conditioner. I had toppik in there before I took a shower and I checked to see if there was any remaining and I did not find any. However, I will not use toppik for a few days and take some more pictures to confirm that these are representing the results properly.

Finally, I have added some less flattering angles to the best of my abilities to make sure my results are fully transparent. Of course I don’t wear my hair that way but it is just to show where I may want to add density. Ideally I would like to wear my hair forward and have a bit more volume density in the areas I mentioned above.

I had the privilege of seeing @caveman in Philadelphia when we met with Dr. Pradeep- 1st time I saw him since we met each other at the clinic last October.

I can say that in person, his results look excellent! HTs are an illusion of density so when styled correctly and at an appropriate length, it will look more dense. When styled appropriately, his results look very nice, even in the light.

I will let him tell his news, but he has plenty of grafts left in the bank should he want more density- and keep in mind that only 4,600 grafts were used to fill up his NW6 scalp.

Five months, and finally seeing some action in the Eugenix transplant and can feel tons of new hairs poking through, so looking forward to some improvements all being well, finally let it grow a bit, three weeks growth, the most since 1998 when I first started shaving it, and surprisingly I am actually liking the growth and how it looks, used some matt texturing gel to spike it back a bit, hair still thin mostly but its getting better, and considering trying oral minoxidil to see if that could help, just worried about any sides and the initial shedding phase of it, but get no sides from Fin so it might be fine?

Tried to get some shots in different lighting, atm in direct sun light its invisible, but my hair is a bit like that anyway, kind of light fluffy hair which is why the texturing gel is helping it stay in place rather than a head of fluff ha

Left side hump is still weaker, Eugenix put more grafts in here and didn't touch the right side as it was a bit stronger from previous surgeries, hoping it catches up soon

Well guys, I did it.  I flew back to India and had a 2nd HT at Eugenix.  Dr Das led the surgery this time as well, and the mission was to add some density in the midscalp and crown, something that I had been planning since last summer as I sat in my hotel room with fresh wounds covering my head .  Dr Das' goal this time was to get 2,000 grafts.  I wanted 4,000, to hit the magical number 10,000 in total, and sort of join some arbitrary, mythic club, but she felt that 2,000 would give me the density I desired while preserving some arrows in the proverbial quiver to wage war on the future hairloss-monster, should it raise its ugly head since I dont take Finasteride.

Rishab again helped me coordinate everything...  super helpful, professional, quick to respond to my queries, and not pushy at all.  I arrived in New Delhi about 2am June 6th, slept a few short hours, then headed to the clinic bright and early to handle the scandal.  This, to me, is another way Eugenix shines, apart from delivering fantastic results:  the whole part of the team that was involved in my HT last year actually remembered me and were as warm and welcoming as my family.  They recalled details with amazing clarity, even down to what I had ordered for lunch.  One of the techs even ran up to me and gave me a big hug, and I instantly felt like we picked up right where we left off.  The clinic had actually expanded its footprint since last year, and the new building was clean, bright, well organized, and bustling with miracles-in-progress in each of the rooms.

After a brief meet with the patient coordinator photos were taken, then Dr Das came and did the planning, answered my questions, and we were under way.  This time was a little different than last however because for some reason my scalp was oozing alot, which slowed down the whole process, and what was supposed to be a quick afternoon procedure turned into 2 days.  Slits were made day 1, plus a bit of implantations.  Because of all the extra bleeding, the anesthesia was escaping my scalp and I could feel the the needles.  The techs were very attentive to my groaning and constantly asked if I was OK and if I needed more local anesthetic, and they would apply it.  Unfortunately for me though, I felt alot more pain this time around than last.   I returned back the next day and they finished up with a total of 2203 grafts, below is the breakdown:

    Scalp:

    Singles - 29

    Doubles - 1279

    Triples -300

    Quadruples - 140

    Beard:

    Singles - 455

I still have the remnants of my old hairline where a couple hairs still grow, along with a now defunct widow's peak.  I have to shave it down every few days or else it looks weird.  I asked Dr Das if she could remove those with the punch gun and she warned there could possibly be some scarring involved, as some of the hairs were very close together.  I told her to go for it anyway as its annoying to have to shave it, and she did, you can see the pictures below.  Currently, there are still some tiny little punch holes, but I must say it has healed up nicely for such a short time, and I feel like after a few months time it should be pretty undetectable.

I cant reiterate it enough, the whole entire team is so friendly and warm, I almost hated to have to leave.  They are the kind of people I would love to go hang out with on a Saturday evening, as a big group, I bet it would be a lot of fun. Dr Das did drop by from time to time after the slits were made to check in on everything.   The technicians were again stellar, they work in such harmony, and it really gave me the sense I was in good hands.

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

  16. 8 Months

Hi Everyone- I'm here for my 8 month update. All continues well as the hair grows longer. I am not planning to cut top for at least 1 year as it helps tremedously with the illusion of density.

Here are photos taken in the past few days in which I am combing slighly differently and trying to show different lighting.

I am super pleased with everything. Thank you @Eugenix Hair Sciences!
