  1. That's exactly the difference. Flu been forever, nothing new, not interesting. Covid-19 is fresh hot news. Everyone wants to know more about it and the more he will be scared, the more he will be looking into it (as we all do when loosing our hair, we look into it more if we scared about it). Why nobody is talking about 9/10 people will have mild to moderate symptoms and won't need hospitalization. 90% success rate! We are going to get a HT where theres 90% success rate (top clinics) and we dont think about this 10%! We want to see 90%. In Londkn we have 144 deaths. The youngest one is 45 year old with underlying health conditions. Nobody in US knows that a lot of people (e.g. old British people on pensions) buy houses in spain and Italy and leave there happy with sun. They have A LOT of old people in the countries. That's why they have more deaths. And please stop comparing to China.
  2. I dont want to interrupt, but majority of people do what others are doing (sheep effect). I'm living in London, and here is chaos in the stores, for the last week long queues, not toilet rolls, soaps, pasta, rice, canned goods etc. Sanitiser was gone since last month (from the whole country and seems like forever). People ar stashing their homes with supplies worth £5000 if not more, they have soap enough to last 5 years and rice enough for... 200kg of rice for family of 4... what, 20 years? Today my colleagues were talking about tomorrows lock down, even though government never said anything about it. People listen to their friends, who read misinformation from facebook, who wrote in there by blowing up a bubble from the media, who already created a massive bubble. There is 80 000 cases in China with 70 000 cured. Why i dont see this information in media? Because its positive. Positive doesnt attract attention (right now). In my home country In Lithuania earlier we had 30 cases and people are buying everything from the storea and wearing masks that they cant even breath properly, as they're intended to be worn for 30min. Also these who are wearing masks keep reusing them. People dont understand how to use it and they are getting more infected. Only because they saw a picture of Chinese person with a mask, they have to do it too.
  3. Week 6 I'm excited to share with you my newest update on my FUE Hair Transplant surgery! ---> Week 6 Video update on my Hair Transplant <--- It's so cool to see some progress.. My hair is growing faster, but I'm not 100% happy about this! Tennis ball effect is real haha Now I noticed that my sides are dropping down in density if you look closer where I'm showing my donor area. Any Ideas if this could be related to surgery? Or I'm just heading towards NW7? If you have some time please support me on my YouTube channel! That helps a lot so I know it's worth doing more videos As always, thank you for stopping by and hope You have a great day!
  4. Dr's can go in between existing hairs if the hair is healthy and strong enough. If the hair is miniaturised there's a strong chance of shockloss and even possibly permanent. So instead of reinforcing, they would just replace them. That's why good surgeon will always put you on Finasteride for at least 6 months before surgery.
  5. I stopped minoxidil about 2 weeks before my HT (mid january 2020) and never came back on it. Still taking Finasteride 1mg/day. Difficult to say if I lost ground because of minoxidil as my head was shaved, but so far I'm happy with what I've got.
  6. As some of guys above mentioned your list doesn't make sense. Always think of spending as much money as you could possibly afford on HT and never go cheap. It's not as simple as buying a car. You can't sell it/replace it if you don't like it! You have one head and one chance to really make it or break it. Donor are is extremely finite. Think about how normal Turkish clinic would do their OP. They need 3000 grafts. They extract 5000. Why? Because they're doing it carelessly, with speed (as they have other people waiting in line to be in that chair!) and destroy grafts while extracting. They see it's damaged, they jut discard and extract another one. For them "it's fine I'll just extract another one", but for you it's 1 more graft that could grow, whether it's donor or recipient area. Don't rush and do your due diligence if you don't want to be the next guy with no growth and destroyed donor FOR LIFE with no options than wearing a hat. I personally had HT done in Portugal with Dr. Bruno Ferreira (you can check up my thread on this forum). If you can afford HLC, you could very well afford other top-notch doctors in other countries and forget about 1€/graft clinics. Good luck!
  7. Back of the head can look amazing, but sides often times are much thinner, thus reducing overall donor area/supply quite a bit (my own head!). After my FUE (6 weeks ago) my back of donor healed extremely quickly and as of right now I can shave my back and you won't notice any scars, but sides healed much slower and scaring is more visible.
  8. I've done only front part for myself as well (currently on week 6), but I'm NW5A, so will definitely need to fill up the gaps in mid & crown. While it might look appealing to make low and strong hairline and leave crown/mid scalp as it is and just slick back, but think about when you're in the pool. Would you like to have a long mop in the front with thin sparse mid & crown? What if someone moves your "combover" (that's essentialy what will be), will you be worried? The reason I'm saying this because I myself was wearing a massive combover for 4-5 years (before HT, see my thread for more info). It was OK, but whenever stronger wind will blow, or rain, or swimming etc, it completely messes up my hairstyle and it was looking terrible! I was constantly thinking about it, what can I do to not to move my hair... I was moving around facing wind with my combed over side. Hilarious look! I would suggest to consider putting lower density, but all around scalp, so it doesn't look too bad and if you are not 100% happy some of days, just sprinkle some hair fibres to make it "thicker". Don't rush!
  9. Put this yellow/orange suit with a mask, get your 10$ airplane both ways ticket and get it done! But to be serious, I think it's a good time stop and think "do I really need to get my HT done right now?". Maybe it's a good opportunity to re-think the options as we get to forget that Hair Transplant should be the last thing on your list when battling hair loss. On another note, I'm glad I had mine done in the very end of January when there was only a hundred cases in China Now i can isolate myself and watch my hair grow lol
  10. I'm myself on week 6 right now after my FUE, however it's seems logical to me to wash your hair, apply conditioner (keep it for at least 5 min in) and then blow dry (while still damp) with some heat protection spray. When you are blow drying you basically shaping your hair, how it will sit down after you are finished. Another options might be just go short again and wait until 18-24 months in. As some people said, it takes time for hairs to get "natural" look. Think about it. They've been placed in a completely new environment not by choice, full of DHT (perhaps that's the case? hahaha). They will need some time to adapt.
  11. Apologies for that! I switched off signatures and didn't really see mine after I created them. It's all been done now Thanks for having "balls" and telling me this! I'm sure it was annoying to everyone else!
  12. Week 5 I know the timing doesn't really match according to my updates, but I'm doing my best to post on time! I'm making sure to get my footage and pics on time though! I can just tell that I'm definitely on track! Finasteride is improving my crown quite well and my transplanted hairs are growing longer, so they are already matching my native hair. I'm glad I trimmed my hair a week ago! During the last week I've noticed few positive changes which I am sharing with you guys on my video update ----> https://www.youtube.com/watch Stay safe everyone!
  13. Dr. Bruno Ferreira is taking approach according to situation. I had 2 day surgery and on the first day he did "standart" procedure. Extracting all grafts of the day (~1500), get a lunch break and then implant. Overall time off body was around 3-5 hours. Because I had some complications on first day (excessive bleeding and popping), Dr. Ferreira changed approach. He extracted ~400-500 grafts and then implanted them immediately. In this case there was much much less popping. Look up my thread on this forum or check out my YouTube channel for more info on my surgery.
  14. Week 4 Hello gentlemen & gentlemen (cuz we don't have ladies in here?!? Hope you are doing great while reading this post. Thank you for stopping by and checking my results out! I'm here to update on my Week 4 (finally!!!) Shedding Donor healing Redness disappearing All of the mentioned above happened to me during my week 4! Shedding started a week a go and been shedding like crazy! Lost A LOT!!!... of hairs. It's heartbreaking! Interestingly enough majority of my loss is on the hairline (OUCH!), while the back of recipient area looks much much fuller! On another hand I'm enjoying a fresh cut and looks like donor is looking pretty well! Redness is present (mainly on the first few cm's of the hairline due to poking 824y251767673 times in that area!), but the rest of recipient area is getting lightly pink. Pictures below for those of you with slow internet connection, but for the rest of the world a link below! P.S. I extremely enjoy editing my videos and upping up production quality, thus I really appreciate your time watching them!
  15. Thanks Thomas, I really appreciate your comment! I love sharing, especially if it's something as exciting as this (DUH?? I'm growing new hair! Where I didn't had for years!).
  16. Hello gents, I was thinking this might be an interesting topic to update on. Just had my first haircut 1 month after my FUE HT. My barber went quite close with clippers (1.5 mm) and there's still some red dots on the sides (back looks unbelievably healed!). Dr. Ferreira mentioned scars look bigger due to the angles of the hairs on the sides. Have you had such redness as well and if so for how long did it persisted? I'm still applying Aloe Vera gel 2x/day on recipient & donor areas, and it still looks like healing much slower. BTW as always for those of you who prefers to watch my video update, have a look @ below!
  17. For some reason I don't want to start using it right now.. It would feel kind of odd. One day coming to work with no hair, and next day with dark scalp
  18. Thanks man! It's extremely simple. Find on google templates for your editing program and edit them. I took one template and triple edited it, so it doesn't look like original one but main concept is from there I guess for now it looks great. Trust me, I'm more eager to see that! Hahaha
  19. Just posted a video on week 2 update on my YouTube Channel for those of you who is interested to see in video format! P.S. Still not sure what I love more, video editing or my result so far!
  20. Dr. Ferreira recommends to use Dermmatch from week 4, basically now. I had quite a lot of shedding on the hairline, so not sure how it will look. I might try and see!
  21. I've seen quite few youtubers that had a HT done in there. One recorded all journey and I was a bit shocked. In one place a guy is shaving the head and draws the hairline in 5 min & draws the boundaries of donor zone in 5 seconds in 1 motion. After he takes pictures with his phone and the patient is going to the car and to the other building, where someone else will do the rest of the work (actual surgery). It's a typical mill which is well presented. I would personally stay as far away as possible and don't be fooled by good looking videos etc.
  22. I just posted a video about my first day at work after my FUE HT. I was really wondering how it will look like, but I decided to be honest and upfront if someone is wondering "why did I shave my head all of the sudden?". I found it fascinating how much people don't give a damn about you and your head and the only thing they are interested is how much does it cost, how is it done and how they could do it as well (this one was the best! Everyone all of the sudden is sharing their hair loss with me lol!). After few days, nobody gives a single f**k and carries on with their business... And it makes sense! You are not interested. Everyone is interested in themselves ONLY. Have a second thought about that!
  23. To have better understanding of how my hair grows, how it looks etc.1-1.5 months should be plenty if you had skin fade before that like me 😁
