  1. Thats pretty much what I seen as well. But as Melvin says technology improves over time, so who's to say what ARTAS does now these days, although I wouldnt risk my grafts on it
  2. Not hating on all the hard work you put into this forum Melvin, but can we please get the cliff notes for the Artas machine and what his opinion on it is?? My attention span sucks, I can barely watch a video for 6 minutes, let alone 60 😳
  3. So far I'm reasonably satisfied (even though I have a few months of growth left). The problem with hair is you always want more. Its exactly like money, you can never have enough of it
  4. @BeHappy Just hang in there, man!! Remember that old saying: "Winners never quit and quitters never win".
  5. I had to google dark root spray: https://www.the-sun.com/lifestyle/3393261/balding-man-receding-hairline-tip/ Apparently they are available in different colours: https://www.google.ca/search?q=dark+root+spray&lr=&sxsrf=ALeKk03F7dN-PMZp4VsRzrekP-YcNQYYyw:1627856839193&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiKp5Sl75DyAhWUbs0KHZybAWYQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1408&bih=587
  6. The bad news: you got a terrible transplant. The good news: all this is fixable, it will just cost you more money. Just be grateful those grafts werent wasted though, they just have to be re-located again. Go to a top FUE clinic and you're all set
  7. Got a wink from a super hot chick waiting at a traffic light today. I havent had one of those in almost a decade. Today was a good day 👍
  8. You're an excellent candidate. You are Norwood 5-ish plus not much retrograde. You have good sidebanks as well. I would go with 4000 FUT to cover the top, and then use the rest of your scalp hair plus BHT to cover the crown. Job done in 2-3 years
  9. A buddy of mine fell of the back of a pickup truck during accident, he scraped his scalp along the pavement and for about 2 years he had a large bald spot on the side of this head. But the doctor said the scalp will eventually repair itself, and sure enough in the 3rd year all the hair had grown back
  10. No, I think its more a case of even if the scalpel incision did damage a dormant follicle, , that follicle will just heal itself and the new graft will grow right next to it
  11. OP has asked a really good question. I often wondered myself something similar, what if I get a transplant and a few years later a cure for hairloss is invented. Will that destroy the existing follicles. The answer is much pretty much no according to Dr. Bernstein. Even if you were to transplant a graft right into a dormant follicle, that graft will just come out as a double with the native hair according to Bernstein (although he does concede it might come out a bit unnatural, but I dont necesssarily agree with that). Read what he wrote here: https://www.bernsteinmedical.com/answers/timing-of-a-second-hair-transplant/
  12. Wow, I feel bad for you. That has to be one of the worst Norwood 8 I have ever seen. Did the BHT work out for you? Are you comfortable sharing some pics??
  13. Its definitely not a black and white thing, it affects people differently. When the sides and back also thin out its usually not DUPA, this is called retrograde alopecia, and thats similar but a different animal altogether
  14. Here's an example of an extreme case. When its all said and done this poor fellow will have almost no hair left on his head
  15. It can become an almost complete bald head, but more often then not its very thin pattern thats left, with no donor hair available for transplantation because the hair density is so thin. DUPA really is hairloss from hell, thankfully its very rare
  16. I had shock loss with my first transplant (FUT, in donor area of scar, and only on 1 side of my scalp) I didnt have shock loss with my 2nd FUE transplant. I heard shock loss only happens in less than 10% of patients, and its more common with FUT
  17. I have travelled to over 70+ countries in my days, and the best thing you can do is hire a bilingual guide who speaks good English. Bring this guy with you wherever you go and this will greatly make your trip much easier. Also make sure you pay him well, dont go cheap. In many 3rd world countries this wont cost you more than a few hundred bucks tacked onto your trip. India is not really a 3rd world country, but you should be able to still get a guide for relatively cheap. Maybe ask Eugenix if they can hook you up with someone??
  18. Fully vaxxed U.S. citizens can enter Canada Aug. 9. The rest of world on Sept. 7 https://www.cp24.com/news/fully-vaxxed-u-s-citizens-can-enter-canada-aug-9-rest-of-world-sept-7-1.5514922
  19. Okay, so this is for those who are thinking of travelling to a foreign country to get your HT done. Obviously language is going to be a barrier since many people speak no English, or broken Englsih. You download an app called 'Deepl'. Its available on android and iPhone. Whats amazing about this app is you can speak English into it and it automatically translates into a different language. You then press the sound button and the app speaks out whatever you just translated into the language of your choice. You can then have that person respond verbally into the Deepl app, and the app then translates what that person said back into English. You can have amazing, quick conversations with people. I tried on a freind who is Mandarin and he was amazed how well it worked. The only drawback with the app is it needs access to WiFi. So you'd have to be on your carrier WiFi travel plan, or use hotel or other free local WiFi. You're welcome 👍
  20. Thanks guys. You might not realize it but your show of support means a lot 👍
