  1. Here is my 7.5 month update. i was really not liking the gaps in hair and I could make it look good using concealer and time. I debated shaving it and decided to do it. I shaved to a 2 guard on top and a 0 guard fade on sides. I made a post asking for advice but no one responded. I’m also including one shot zoomed in to see if you can see any new hairs which I think I can see coming in. Also to note the barber couldn’t see any scaring or anything even on the zero guard. i will also include a photo of what it looked like before buzzing in a future post. My wife hates the buzz cut but I don’t think it’s so bad.
  2. Even though no one responded I decided to buzz it to a 2 guard on top and zero faded on sides I don’t think it looks terrrible but I also included a zoomed in high resolution you can see the hairs but maybe shows some still coming in?
  3. I am considering shaving my head down to a 1 guard maybe 2z i have been doing this with sides but keeping hair long on top. It can look good but requires to blow dry and brush and maybe some hair toppik. I am hoping my results will thicken but just not liking texture of hair if it’s just straight out of shower. I really liked what I looked like after my head was shaved with the new hairline immediately after the fue. I am attaching two photos of my current hair please let me know if you think I should shave it let it regrow back before the 12 month point. thanks for the input. If you want to see mor photos check out my hair loss post in the forum at Asmed
  4. Here is my 7 month update. im feeling much better about my hair after my hair cut (2 buzz on sides blended leaving hair long on top). The 2nd to last picture I moved hair around so you can see how density still not there yet especially behind hairline. From what I have read the singles come in first so maybe it’s just dense at hairline and the doubles triples haven’t matured yet i know I’m only 7 months and have time foR improvement. I am just happy the hairline came in looking natural at least I think so. Anyone who didn’t know me before including my new hair barber can’t even tell I had anything done which was one of my main goals. I have learned that I am my biggest critic and was obsessing over angles and how it was looking but 99% of people will look at you from face on which is the last photo and I think it already looks good. Hope the constant updates are helping people with the time line especially for those of joy who have fine hair
  5. Looks like you are progressing and still have lots of time but seeing a big change with the framing of your face!!!! I am feeling same thing as you sometimes it looks good but in certain lights doesn't look good. Hope the thickening comes in the 2nd half of the 12 month process. I let my hair get long on top and think its making it look thinner ....going tomorrow for a hair cut hope it helps it look thicker. Since the 6 month point I started using hair styling product and honestly thinking it makes it look thinner than just leaving it natural as it weighs hair down.
  6. And here it is with product and concealer (I think it makes a huge difference and only takes 1 minutes extra to add the topikk where before hair transplant would take 20 min because I had no hairline) the photos with product and concealer were taken today after I styled and added concealer so you can see difference from my car photo which was also taken today. I just hate having to spend time on hair as the main reason I got transplant was to avioid concealers etc. but feeling I should use it until more hair thickens ... still trying to stay optimistic and happy with my hairline framing face
  7. Here it is brushed back with some hair product so you can see difference when I style it if I use a little concealer it really helps but really didn’t want to start using it but maybe for 1-2 months to get through this phase
  8. Hello everyone. I will post my 7 month update next week but wanted to share a photo I took just now in car. This photo is natural light with no styling or product. I didn’t get the top cut last hair cut so it’s getting longer and feels thinner to me. Everywhere I read says to let it grow out. Please let me know thoughts as I was feeling great about progress but just seems very thin today given I usually style it but interested in people’s opinions on how bad it looks. Does anything that from month 7-12 this will thicken so you don’t see my scalp?
  9. Looks like you are about 5.5 months. Yes hopefully you are a slow grower and next 2 months you will see lots of growth which is very possible. How many grafts did they quote you on your consult as I had less loss and they originally quoted 5k then lowered to 4200 once I arrived. Your case seems the first time I have seen them use less graphs than more.
  10. Thanks everyone for the replies. I think it depends on the lighting and how close you are. I am very happy with progress but would be disappointed if this was my final result.I think for a lot of people including myself that had receding hairlines. The simple framing of face makes a big difference in overall aprearence even if you lack density. I will post another update at 6.5 months
  11. Here is my hair after haircut. I got a 2 on the side and she’s letting the top grow out (Insode lighting —first 2 pictures) This would be 6 months 1 week. i also posting some photo I took today in car (last 2 pictures) to show when you take photo very close vs 3 feet away you can see my density issues. I know I’m very early in process hoping for thickening even if I don’t get any new hairs growing Does anyone recommend a good hair product to use for my type of hair. Last night I used a very light product and today I used a gel which seems too strong but I want the hair to hold in place
  12. Hello all and thanks for uuur comments. The one I saw most recently was artofeden on this site. His hair was much thicker and stronger from 5 months to 7 months. i got a hair cut yesterday and can now use some hair product think it’s looking better. I will try to post a photo tomorrow. It’s a completely different type of hair style then I had before the transplant so I’m sure people will notice/ wonder what I did with my hair
  13. Really impressive results at less than 5 months. You are going to have a great result. I do still see a little redness but i had same issue. It will either go away or your hair will thicken enough to block it within a month or so. What was your hair thickness?
  14. Thank you. I am very optimistic about growth/maturation between 6-7 months. I have seen several cases make a big change from 6-7 months.
  15. Here is me PRE SURGERY with concealer so you can see (2 photos). Please look at my preopp photos at Asmed and you can see how much concealer was helping this don’t think my new hairline is such a drastic change.
  16. Before my surgery I would use spray toppik medium brown color apply right after shower then towel dry. It really helped with my receding hairline. I hadn’t used any since surgery as they don’t recommend until 6 month point so tried some this weekend and thought it really helped with the density issue. It was much easier to apply as now the front hairline has grown in so only put it behind the hairline where pre surgery I would apply to create a hairline. I went to a party last night and no one that didn’t know I had a surgery could tell and the people who knew thought it looked good. I always used concealer before surgery when I went out or wore a hat so I think that’s one reason people aren’t noticing I had anything done. I will find a picture of me before surgery with concealer so you can see what I looked like before
  17. And here are the photos with styling product (1st photo) and with concealer (2nd photo)
  18. Hello everyone. This is my 6 month update . I am overall happy so far but obviously would like more density (I hope this helps people with thin hair under 50 microns as I didn’t see any reviews of people with fine hair) but hopping for more to come. I am attaching photos as normal. I will also include a photo of my hair with product in it and then one with concealer and product. i think the concealer helps hide the density issue as my scalp is so white. I really don’t want to use it but maybe for a month until the density gets better. please let me know what you think of the progress and any questions
  19. Here is my 5.5 month update photos including some different angles and lighting. Feel like I'm getting more coverage each week. Density is still low but happy as its getting better each week. Hoping for significant improvement over next 30 days. I have seen a lot of results get significantly better between 5.5 months and 6.6 months. Happy to answer any questions anyone has relating to my results or my experience.
  20. Thank you for such a great write up on your experience and new clinic. I had seen new clinic when I walked past in July and heard some of the details. Look forward to hearing Dr Koray's response to the criticism he's been getting on some of the results. I got the impression from him and all the staff that he is so caring for his patients and their results that no matter changes he would not sacrifice patients results/experiences. Quick question--Were you able to request your same techs/ surgery team before you arrived or is this something you did during your consultation. I really liked my surgery team and If I have to go back for a touch up I would want them again.
  21. Here are my 5 Months updated pictures. I included 2 sets with different lighting. I'm happy with overall progress...wish it would go faster. What does everyone think about progress at 5 Months? I really thought I would be a fast grower as my hair always grows incredibly fast. I still see new growth coming in the form of little bumps. Hoping between 5-6 months will be significant growth and thickening.
  22. Looks great for the timeline. Do you know what your hair diameter/thickness is?
  23. Yes Asmed recommends no electric shavers for first 6 months on the transplanted area so I tell my barber to cut it with scissors on the transplanted area to the equivalent of a grade 2 buzz. I don’t know why it matters as long as you don’t cut yourself but if you are going to a barber they can just use scissors although it does take more work for them. I have also read that letting it grow out makes the illusion better but I really liked how the hair looked immediately after surgery with the new hairline and was hoping I could eventually buzz the entire head to level 1 and create that same look. Has anyone been successful in creating same buzz cut look ?
  24. Here is the 18 week (4.5 month) update. I have not cut the top of my hair for about a month. I am thinking cut everything to a 2 grade one more time to even everything out then let it grow. The photos are using a flash. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I am hopping for some significant improvement before Christmas. I will next update at 5 months.
  25. Thanks everyone. Does anyone know when the most growth is suppose to grow. I was thinking between 4-5 months but it could be 5-6 months I have a lot of small bumps where you can see the hair about to bust through so I’m thinking 4-5 months will be my best growth
