  1. I feel bad saying so but I too would be devastated spending 9k for this to be the result. I will say it’s important for us to share the names of surgeons, you’ve not said anything out of line or defamatory and have simply provided good, detailed pictures. If the Dr was to be unhappy about this, it’s only their own work they should be disappointed in. I’m sorry mate, hope you get something worked out in terms of a refund or something. Im 4 months out of my surgery with asmed and the most recent results are making me worry for my own. Hoping I don’t have to shell out more money and go through this ordeal again in a years time
  2. can't believe this is the result of 3200 grafts! I had just over 3000 from Asmed and am at just under 4 months. Praying there will be more sprouts as right now its so sparse, like so many I've seen lately from asmed. Thing is each bump/scar from the incisions that I've been able to see under light all have hairs coming through and they still have huge gaps in between. I know I have a long time to wait and see the result but nothing as of late looks promising.
  3. I chose fue over fut for the sole purpose of wearing my hair short. It’s gonna suck if I can’t do that. Absolutely hate having longer hair on the back and sides lol hoping it’s just temporary shock loss. The back feels really dry too, might look into something that moisturizes scalp
  4. Really worried about my donor area. It looks so patchy and someone at work asked if I had a skin condition on my scalp. Suffice to say been feeling shit all day since. it looks like all my grafts were over harvested from the same spot
  5. I’m so sorry mate I’m anxious af about mine cos I’m yet to see a decent result come out of there recently. All seem to have the same issues of being sparse / low density. You must get so tired of peoples comments of “it’ll thicken up”. It’s not the hair thickness that’s the issue, it’s the amount of hairs (or lack of).
  6. Wish I’d known this kinda stuff before potentially wasting 1000s of grafts I’ll never get back ...
  7. I think people (prior patients specifically) can sometimes be scared to divulge personal information to mods with the knowledge that it’ll be shared with the very clinic/doctor that they may be relying on to fix any potential issues later down the line. I myself wouldn’t want to burn any bridges that I may need in the future. A better approach would be for patients wishing to share negative experiences to share the clinic pictures they received pre/post op or the info sheet with the breakdown on it (face pic, name, no. of grafts etc) with a moderator to verify their authenticity as a patient, but should also be given the choice as to whether or not they want this shared with the clinic.
  8. I can also corroborate this as my friend who had his surgery at asmed the same day as me was told by his coordinator about the new clinic. I’m gonna pray that I got the experiences techs. I hope my friend did too as I was the one who recommended this clinic and we flew together from west coast USA. If either or both of us have a bad result im gonna feel so bad. 8 patients a day to me is inconceivable and totally incongruent with good practice. 4 is proving too many to handle, if this were to double it becomes nothing more than a money grab. But I know it’s likely true as I knew this the day after my surgery. This post just solidified it.
  9. Good that you find people’s anxiety and disappointment in their hair surgery ‘hilarious’ Dishonest why? Because they don’t align with your experience? Just because someone’s opinion and experience differs from yours, does not make then dishonest. Name calling again. Stupid comments and lies with intent to mislead...by speaking on their experience? So people who have negative experiences shouldn’t speak on it? Yes other clinics have bad results. All Drs will. However, that doesn’t absolve every other clinic from being held accountable to their patients. And it certainly doesn’t mean people should stay quiet of their result isn’t what they were led to expect. To suggest that one should put up and shut up because all doctors have bad results isn’t an argument. You say hes he’s the loudest, but you always seem to be one post behind. A post that’s 10x longer, full of name calling and aggression and it’s in almost every one of his comments. Actually a forum is just that, a free for all to express their experience and opinions. As for braindead and irrational, time to knock that nonsense on the head isn’t it? Also, it’s ridiculously hypocritical that you’re talking of how we shouldn’t censor people. You’re trying to do just that to anyone with a negative opinion. Food for thought. Yeah you don’t really seem to do anything else to be honest Im starting to wonder if you can finish a paragraph without insulting someone... Again, insults. Really bored of this drama. For some reason you keep chasing certain members around the forum trying to junk what they have to say. This forum is for all of us, and any attempt to silence any negative reviews is massively problematic. Like I said before, it’s important for prospective patients to see ALL sides. ALL experiences and they can then weigh up their decision. In future I suggest you politely disagree or ignore and move on. You can’t seem to keep a civility to your posts and frankly it’s dampening the forum. My two cents. Which I’m entitled to btw
  10. Im far too early on to be able to tell yet, just hit 3 months. Im just worried as there seems to be a lot of results lately that are super sparse and very low density. Im realistic in expectations and never expected it to be as dense as my native hair but at least enough to work with without combovers or masking products like Toppik etc. otherwise theres not much point is there. Theres a couple of Asmed bulldogs on here that jump on anyone with anything negative to say about the clinic and I think its becoming a problem. To try and push people out of their honest opinions on their own experiences is wrong and absolutely not what id want when researching clinics. I want to know what ALL patients have to say and why they are happy or unhappy. Its obvious that people have researched before going to Asmed, as I did. I was super impressed by the results, which is why I and others chose them. My experience was fantastic in that everyone at the clinic couldn't do enough for me and the doctor was very warm and patient with me. Im hoping my result will reflect what everyone expects of Asmed going off their previous record and that the last few are in the minority, time will tell! That being said Im going to be honest either way, regardless of the bulldogs
  11. I’m a few months post op from asmed. Seeing the recent results is giving me anxiety lol have you messaged asmed to see what their response is to the recent negative feedback? It seems to be more and more prevalent of late and I’m worrying about my result
  12. Well said. Calling someone unhinged and crazy etc is just cruel. People are spending thousands, sometimes every penny they have got a surgery to improve their lives. Yeah it’s cosmetic but the negative impact baldness can have on someone’s self esteem and quality of life can be massive. It’s why we are all on this forum. If you don’t agree with his feelings and opinions on his OWN hair and surgery, respectfully disagree and move on instead of name calling and telling him he’s wrong. No one has the right to invalidate payams own feelings about his surgery because they are his feelings and it’s his hair (that he’s paid a large sum of money for). The emotional toll this journey has affects everyone differently. He may not be dealing with it the same as some others but that doesn’t mean he’s wrong. In comparison to successful results, he is lagging behind. He may be a slow grower, he may not be. It might improve, it might not. Going forward, I do think the Asmed website could benefit from being 100% transparent, and informing potential patients straight up that Dr Erdogan won’t be performing the actual surgery. They should divulge the level of training, expertise and credentials of the people that actually are performing the surgery. Yes, we can research and find out in round about ways but the clinic can’t be dependent on that and should instead make a point of making sure potential patients are fully aware of what to expect. payam, my advice is to just wait. At the end of the day there’s nothing else you can do until the allotted time has passed. If after 18 months you aren’t happy, revisit it. Until then don’t put yourself through the scrutiny and stress.
  13. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you as I too wouldn’t be happy if this was the final density. Lots of time to improve yet though. I’m just over 2 months out from asmed and cant help checking every day. Especially a particular spot with no hairs at all poking through yet lol.
  14. The fact that we can’t tell which are the befores and afters is worrying. I’m 2 just over 2 months in from my asmed by and I’m trying not to think too much about it.
  15. The donor pain is next level haha. I’m still getting huge painful pimples almost 2 months in. They were worst around 1 month.
  16. I prepared myself for a while so I’m not checking every 5 mins I just pop my hat on and forget about it haha for now anyway!
  17. I’m 31, 2.37 hairs per graft on average. I can’t find any info on my hair thickness though in the packet I left with. I think he said it was pretty average or just under though. I’m anxious just for my normal hair to grow enough to cover this area haha sick of wearing a hat at work!
  18. I’ve taken my time getting to this review as I’ve been pretty busy, but I check here often on others progress so thought it would be good to include my experience. ill keep it short as I can. The staff at Asmed were outstanding. They can’t do enough for you and my patient coordinator Müge and all the other staff were just so nice that my experience was wholly positive. There was literally nothing more I could have asked for. If I was hungry at all, they’d get me some food and drinks immediately. If I felt the slightest bit of pain or was uncomfortable they’d stop everything until I was good to go again. The procedure itself is relatively painless, however! The numbing injections were painful! I was good for the first few but as they got to the nape of my neck it was unbearable. I think I must just have a lot of sensitivity there to be honest as my pain threshold has always been ridiculously high. Anyway, they immediately called in the anaesthatist and he gave me some painkillers in my IV and I was perfectly fine after that. The techs were wonderfully polite and considerate throughout. Before the surgery I had my consult with Dr Erdogan. Müge was with me too and we talked about my expectations, where I wanted my hairline to be, the style of it etc. I wanted it low and he disagreed immediately and I was a little sad but when he drew it on and stuff I realized I would have looked so weird if he’d put it where’s I initially wanted it. He has an eye for this so just trust him! I’d have regretted it if he’d gone along with my suggestion haha anyway we had a good laugh through the consult, he’s super friendly and I felt relaxed around him. Never rushed, he took around 45 mins with me and my friend who also had his consult at the same time as me (we came together). It helped though as he didn’t have to explain everything twice, and I’d already researched a bunch so Dr Erdogan knew that we were quite prepared for what to expect. It was mildly annoying not being able to touch my head or wear my hat for a while. Also, I was one of the unfortunate ones that experienced a lot of pain in the donor. It seriously felt like it had been badly burned. I couldn’t sleep for the first 10 days and it was exhausting. No pain killers seemed to help. I’m in the minority with this though and I don’t think many experience this so dont be put off. I’m getting a lot of large pimples in the donor area now too, and small ones now and again in the recipient. Nothing terrible. Im at around 6 weeks now. I’d say 75% of the transplanted hairs she around the 4 week mark. The rest just continued to grow. I can’t for the life of me find my thumb drive with my pictures but I know I have it somewhere so I’ll upload those pics when I find them. For now, these are the only before shots I can find. My hair wasn’t terrible, I just had a huge forehead. My transplant was mainly to lower it, whilst bolstering my original hairline a bit too. I’ve been on finasteride for about 2-3 years now. This is 11 days after: And this is today, 1.5 months post op: Ill update this post with my progress over the coming months
