I’m stuck between hoping asmed will touch up and have dr erdogan be present for the entire thing this time (I don’t think that’s a lot to ask after how much I paid) or going to a surgeon that does the entire procedure himself once I’ve saved up enough. Its draining though feeling so crap about it all the time. I was excited to not have to worry about it anymore but I’ve found I worry more now than before lol.

I had a high forehead and receded temples, that I was able to disguise well with the right haircut and how I wore it. I guess I wanted to not have to disguise it anymore. Anytime I got sweaty or the wind blew I would be anxious about it. So I had the temples filled and hairline lowered. And either the grafts didn’t grow or they weren’t utilized well enough. Whatever the case HTs are all elective and we get it cos we want it. We all wanna feel better about ourselves 🤷🏻‍♂️ You may have been happy with my preop but I wasn’t. All relative innit.

In terms of how it looks now, I look like I’m balding as it’s so low in density. Before I just had a high forehead/hairline which in retrospect looked better. Hindsight is 20/20 as they say...

I don’t have any pre-op close up HD pictures unfortunately, I purposely avoided those being someone insecure about their hair. I was trying to show the previous commenter my hairline prior to the transplant.

Preop styled and unstyled. I was able to style it in a way to hide or make my temples look better. It’s more difficult to do that now though as any product makes it a lot more see through.

I agree with you man. I think both sides, the proponents and those against should simply present their results and experience and let the pictures etc speak for themselves. Lately the forum has devolved into a place of name calling and attacking each other. Not necessarily in payams case, but Stephen and others have been called mentally unstable and shit. We should all respect one another’s experiences. That’s all.

I don't understand the reasoning with this, because some people had a good result and are happy, those who didn't shouldn't say anything or express their disappointment? I think the best thing for everyone involved is to express your feelings about your own result, and let others express theirs without trying to put them down. Post your review and results and if you are happy, great. However, its ridiculous to try and discredit someone elses experience because it doesn't match you own. It's clear to see Payams, mine and a bunch of other recent patients haven't had good results, or at least the results they were expecting. We are entitled to voice our opinion on our own surgeries without people who are happy with theirs shouting over us and trying to make out we are crazy. Im genuinely happy for those who are pleased with their results. But this whole thing of trying to discredit people who haven't had the same result, the mentality that "mines great so stop complaining about yours" just isn't logical. If your results are that great, the pics will speak for themselves. Thats how you can express your loyalty to your Dr. However, attacking people who are unhappy with their result and name calling and generally trying to drown them out just makes you look dumb.

What about it looks better? To me it hasn’t changed since about month 5. Definitely no new hairs, no thickening. I had it cut but other than that, no improvement. Maybe that’s what makes it look better? Either way, so far I’m not happy at all. As you said I started off with decent hair and just wanted a lower hairline. Now I look like I’m balding because of how thin and see through it is.

We don't all have thousands of pounds flying out of our arses for multiple surgeries. Stephen made a decision based on his viable options. Respectfully disagree or move on, who are you to tell people not to complain? On a forum to voice our experiences of our surgeries no less. Maybe save your armchair psychology for another forum. Payam, myself, Stephen and others are all experiencing very similar issues and the few people that are happy with their results from the same clinic think its acceptable to trash talk others whose experience isn't as positive. Its like those who have a good result have some strange loyalty to the clinic, that makes them want to drown out any complaints by saying we have mental issues or just outright name calling on every single post. Payam isn't happy, neither are multiple others. Let them voice this without trying to somehow invalidate it just because your experience was better, its petty af.

I had so much faith that I was going to the best place but the recent results are nothing like I expected. We went too late I think a lot has changed there over recent years. Just hoping that if I have to go back my second surgery will be given adequate attention by the best people. It’s draining having to go through this, I don’t want to have to go through it this way again.

I think i had 8k donor. I dunno about that though. I’d consider having another pass with 1k max added to my hairline. I’ll probably get smp in my donor and tbh if I get a good 10 years with decent hair I’m not too bothered about later on. At 50+ my body won’t be anything special so my hair won’t be an issue. Just wanna get the most out of my 30s lol

I don’t get this kind of thinking. Sorry not trying to be combative, but people keep saying it and it really baffles me. Would you prefer patients hide the transplanted areas or present them in the most flattering, dimly lit, combed over conditions or do you actually want to see the transplant? It’s just odd that a lot of people say this. You either want to see clear, high quality, well lit photos of the transplant or you don’t. I for one would rather see what I’m in for, rather than a touched up version...

Check out my thread. Pretty much identical issues, low density, large gaps between grafts. Hoping that at month 12 or after I can have it fixed as right now, I can’t bare to have it on show

It’s just longer, no new hairs that I can see. Thing is I hate having longer hair, but no choice right now Yeah they just said to wait till the 1 year mark. Just feel crap about it all having not had any improvement for months. I know there’s still time but I’m just doubtful as there’s been no new activity in so long.

7.5 month update. No progress unfortunately. Having to keep it long so I can hide it for the time being.

That’s what I feel the issue is, grafts not surviving. With the amount of grafts in just hairlines I expected a lot more density. Not native, but still higher than what I and others have ended up with. I keep hoping time will make a difference but so far it hasn’t changed in months, and others like yourself who are further enough along to assess the HT as either successful or not, don’t seem to have improved so what hope do I have

Literally don’t have the money mate. Spent $70k+ in surgeries the last 3 years and it’s wiped me out. The HT was the last thing on my list and I think I’ve screwed myself with it lol

It’s cost me $10k+ with the flights, flying from west coast USA is so long and expensive. I can’t afford a fix so I just hope they stand by their guarantee, they seem to with many others.

My bald spots have stayed bald, don’t think I’ve seen any cases have new growth after 6 months, just maturation though I could be wrong. Just feel horribly depressed at the thought of being stuck like this.
