Well I did count it and it’s not low 40s, it’s half that. Look at the second picture, it’s the same all over. There are no worse spots, I could part it anywhere and it’s the same. All of the transplanted area is like that, it’s just parted through the center of the transplanted area on second pic.

Thought Id try and measure how many grafts per cm2 I have. I counted 26. I expected a lot more. As it is now, I'm having to cover the whole area with hair from behind. If I move my hair to the side, it looks super pluggy and thin. As you can see from the pictures, its the entire hairline. I know Im probably being impatient but realistically these gaps aren't going to fill in. If there's been no growth for over 6 months in those areas, I just can't see it ever growing. Theres no stubble or thin hairs, just skin.

There are a few very vocal people who are happy with their results on this forum (even they had to go back for a second procedure though, oddly enough). However, I think the latest results from the last year or 2 speak for themselves. Regardless of the constant bickering between the happy patients and unhappy patients, look at the results posted by real people and make your mind up that way. However my advice would be to not look at anything that is more than 2 years old, the clinic doesn't operate the same way it did back then. They don't operate the same way as they did even a year ago in fact. New clinic, many more patients per day, lots of new techs etc. Go with whatever your gut tells you. Look at recent patients pictures posted by the actual patients. They have nothing to gain and are unbiased. Once your grafts are gone you won't get them back, don't make your decision lightly.

Just really depressed over it. Feel like it was a big mistake. 3000 grafts was more than I ever thought it would need and it’s left me with a patchy donor. At this point, I’m not sure I’d even want to risk making my donor worse by having a second surgery and depleting it further. A moth eaten looking donor is just as bad as a weak hairline imo. Stuck if it doesn’t improve a lot over the next few months i look at my old hairline and could kick myself. With proper styling it was fine. Now I actually look like I’m balding.

First pic is my hair dry with nothing on it styled (blowdried) upwards. Far too see through and sparse to wear it that way. Hairline hasn’t really improved at all in months other than gotten longer. As you can see from the last photo, gaps in my hairline are huge. Still no new sprouts, the gaps have remained bald. See what the next 6 months brings. For over 3000 grafts into just my hairline, I expected more. Time will tell I suppose.

Yeah muge is an angel I guess it’s just anxiety seeing the not great results and hoping mine will be better. Time will tell!

One week shy of 6 months. Not feeling great about it but gotta wait it out I guess. As you can see on the first pic, if the hair is parted at any section of the transplanted area, there are large gaps between the grafts. What are the chances that after 6 months new hairs will sprout in these bald patches? This is in dim lighting for anyone wondering. In daylight or any normal lighting it’s completely see through so I have to wear it down.

I’m hoping so. Really don’t have the money to fix it right now and can’t imagine having to live with it as is.

I’m sorry that this is your result I feel like mine is going to be the same, no new sprouts in the last 2 months and it’s really see through. I’m only around 5.5 months but have a good feeling I’m on track for the same as you, planetstephen, payam etc. with the thin / see through, low density hairline. After having 3000 grafts in just my hairline, I’m really unhappy that so many grafts have been used for such a low yield. I’ll never get those grafts back. Right now I regret it so much

Just worrying seeing those other guys have similar issues early on that didn’t clear up later. It’s hard to believe these spots that have stayed bare since day one will have any change later. We will see I guess.

I remember researching a long while back and it was considered bad practice to have more than 2 small/medium cases per day. Now 6 patients per day with each receiving up to 3000 grafts is considered fine? At what point does it become a money grab/mill? Genuine question without trying to be inflammatory. I don’t think it’s feasible to for one doctor to monitor even 3 cases of that size per day, let alone twice that. I know techs do a lot of work but I think they should be nothing more than assistants to a Dr doing the work. Now it’s normal for the techs to do 99% of the work whilst you still pay Dr prices. I think the main question is, if you genuinely care about patients and want them to have the best result, do you think it’s better to take less cases and spend more time and involvement with each patient rather than taking 6 per day? If not, it would suggest that maximizing profit/money is more important. There’s literally no other reason to take on so many patients per day other than to make as much money as possible. That is not in the interest of patients whose results are obviously going to suffer.

Nope. Grew it out longer but it still looks patchy in the light. The gaps and spaces between grafts as seen on my previous pics haven’t closed whatsoever. I haven’t had any growth in those gaps for about 2 months now and there’s no dots or stubbly hair a coming through. It’s just so thin and see through I’m depressed af about it. I feel like I’m on track for a result similar to Stephens and payams given that we had similar graft amounts in the same place. If so I’ll be deeply unhappy, no offense to those guys but they aren’t happy with their results so I feel like I can say that. Im on vacation right now, with my hair slapped forward to hide it. When I get home or maybe at the 6 month mark I’ll update with pics.

Waiting for someone to tell us “you’re exposing the transplanted area it’s bound to look bad” or “the lighting is too bright it’s bound to look bad” or “you aren’t styling it right it’s bound to look bad” if a HT only looks good hidden by existing hair, in a dimly lit room, or styled with a combover to disguise it, it’s not a success in my eyes. Wtf is the point? I get so annoyed seeing people say this crap. If you have to stand in dark corners avoiding day light, with your transplant hidden with a combover, it’s not a success.

Can I expect a lot more new sprouts to fill in the huge gaps and spaces between each hair after 5 months? Haven’t seen any new growth for the last 2 months or so.

5000 grafts for this is a joke. To be honest I feel like my 3000 was excessive compared to pretty much every other transplant I've seen from various doctors. if you saw me now at 5 months you'd be wondering where all the grafts went, cos half of them haven't made a reappearance yet.

Worrying a bit about not having any new sprouts for the last month or 2. No stubbly bits, no black dots peeking through. Nothing. It’s getting longer but there’s been no new growth. Some parts of my hairline have quite a lot of space/bald patches between grafts. Anyone experience new growth after 5 months? I know people will say it’ll thicken up, but unless each hair thickens to a few millimeters thick those bald patches are gonna stay bald lol

My experience was great, the doctor spent a lot of time with me so I should be more confident I guess. I’m looking too hard at the not great results but you’re right there are a lot of good ones too.

I hope so. I keep looking at other people’s results and I shouldn’t since everyone’s different. Anxiety getting the better of me lol. The waiting really does give me too much time to obsess haha

So for 3000 grafts I’d hope that I won’t have such big gaps once it’s all grown out.

Trying not to be negative and just wait it out, but worried about the spacing between grafts. The main problem with the latest results from the clinic is sparse, gappy and low density hairlines. Obviously I’m at 4 months but since it was already growing just over a month from surgery i can’t see many of any more sprouts happening. i know how that sounds being only 4 months out, but under light close up I can see a little bump/scar from every incision and all of them have sprouted. There’s no incision bumps in the current gaps just smooth scalp which leads me to believe those gaps are gonna stay bare. Hope I’m wrong, and I know I sound silly being only 4 months out. But from Stephens result and a few others, I feel like I’m on track for the same.

Yeah it should be on my profile somewhere. I had 3070 grafts so hoping it comes out ok cos I only had my hairline lowered slightly and temples filled
