Thanks. Would be an honour and pleasure to take part. But would also love to see/hear from some other big contributors as well as vets on here: @gillenator @JC71 @SLA @Ryan Daniel I know not everyone is into doing this kind of stuff for personal/social/work reasons. Don't think it would be mandatory to be on camera.

Absolutely. Dr. Mwamba, Drs. Bansal and Sethi, Drs. Hasson and Wong - I feel bad for not mentioning other docs because they are some fantastic ones on here who we are familiar with.... Tho I think its best to keep a panel to 3 because it any more would reduce talk time for each doctor. But since it's an ongoing effort, there is always an opportunity to get most of them on.

Ok, update time - week 18. I've been letting my hair grow out (obviously) and it's such an awkward phase. My native hairs, which I haven't seen this much of in over 25 years(!!!!!) are just like my transplants - so wiry and thick and does its own thing. Gonna wait another week and go to the barber for the first time in that many years too. Experimented with fibers for the first time last week. I can now appreciate how much they add volume but I chose the wrong colour and, under bright lights, it didn't look quite right. Got to be crafty and judicious with that stuff. These are my week 17 shots:

I use a handheld device (like the one in the pic but not the same brand but it is the same specs). It was a device that my wife bought early last year. After checking out some studies on LLLT and wound healing (not a lot of substantial empirical evidence on hair restoration), I decided to use it for the first 3 months on a daily basis for 30 minutes a day, about 10 cm above my scalp. The studies use lab-grade LLLTs which require less time since energy output is higher. To increase total energy output, you have to increase exposure time when irradiance levels are lower (that is, the handheld device I have has less output than lab-grade LLLTs but it can be compensated for in terms of exposure time). In the last month, I have only been using the device every other day. I know there's a lot of skepticism as to whether these consumer-level devices are powerful enough so if you were looking to decided between a cap-based device specifically designed for thinning hair, or a handheld device that can be used for injuries, collagen-building, etc., I would opt for the device that has the same specs (630-660 nm wavelength for red light, 830 nm for infrared light) and go for a handheld version rather than the cap-based version. The laser caps seem like they are overpriced compared to their performance when going against a handheld device with similar specs.

It's coming in nicely. The SMP does help reduce the contrast. -
