3.5 months quick check in

Did you notice transplanted hairs and improvement above baseline at 3 months post op at all? I’m at 3 months currently and not noticing anything above baseline yet

3 months I fell off xyon for a couple weeks due to some Personal things came up but started it up again last Sunday and have been compliant again for 4 days again. hopefully at 4 months check in I start to see improvements above baseline pre surgery and transplanted hairs start becoming noticeable

Do you think results would be the same if I just did finasteride assuming I have no issues with it vs if I did both medications?

Are you doing both that and finasteride together?

Looks like 5-6 months is where that cosmetic benefit first appeared really quickly for you. I’m at about 2.5 months now patiently waiting

Are they making a topical finasteride product too? Is it better to use that and finasteride together than just finasteride? is there a specific benefit to doing topical duasteride instead of oral? And if so, why their product vs another company? Similar idea to the gel delivery system?

Hmm even if it’s not water soluble it could still be mechanically removed via the pressure and rubbing of getting the hair wet under the shower and drying but yeah these questions should be answered

I think rinsing with just water would be almost as bad as washing with shampoo at removing the gel matrix on the scalp. 3 hours just seems like a lot. I remember in an interview he mentioned that the medicine is kept in a gel matrix on top of the scalp and washing it will wash the medicine away. But yeah, if you can get some more specific clarification on this that would be great.

Hey Melvin, in your discussions with Hasson did he mention at all after how many hours it is okay to shower? The pamphlet inside says apply in morning and wait to shower until afternoon or evening, but since they also say the medicine stays in a gel matrix on top of the skin and then is slow released, there must be some sort of timeline curve of the absorption over time from application until it approaches 100% has been absorbed. Applying in morning, say 930am, I imagine you would want to wait at least 8 hours to shower, but I am wondering if even at 8 hours if still say 40% of the medicine is left to be absorbed. What if it takes 16 hours for the full dosage to be absorbed? That could mean 16 hours of the day there is no slow release of the medicine (if showering 8 hours after application) and potentially 40% (example number) is being washed away.

I think you should trim the sides in back into a fade not necessarily a skin fade. Even just a fade into a point 5. Make the sides tighter. Either way that is looking nice for 4 months can’t wait to see where I’ll be I’m approaching 2.5 months from wong

I just asked Wong this question asking if my above statement is correct and he confirmed yes it does diffuse in the scalp. So application doesn’t have to be perfect, just try to distribute it throughout the scalp and the dosage will spread to nearby areas. Just try to make sure the spacing is sufficiently small I would say so with the diffusion of the medicine all problem areas will be dosed

It might be such that as long as you distribute it with sufficiently small spacing throughout the desired affected area that once absorbed it disperses inside the skin locally beyond the immediate area it was rubbed in through, effectively expanding the total area it was applied to and is effective on (but I am not sure on this) also dr wong told me to squirt the pump onto the bathroom counter then lightly dap it with finger tip and part the hair at each location that you want to dap and rub in to. This makes the process of distributing it easier and the gel doesn’t get absorbed into the sink counter as you work to distribute it the way it would start to passively be absorbed by your hand or finger if you squirt the pump onto your hand or finger tip and letting it sit there while you distribute it to the scalp.

I was wondering about starting a separate thread but any changes in my hair are going to be cuz of a combination of the xyon thickening what I have and also the hair transplant so it’s kind a hard to distinguish
