I had one with Shelly Friedman in Scottsdale Arizona using Artas, which sucked. I had another one at ASMED which also was a huge disappointment.

I am scheduled for surgery with dr wong 11/8 for around 2000 grafts. Here is my before surgery. Goal is to thicken up density of hairline where it is and thicken up and reinforce behind it

What's the general opinion of fue vs dhi? Im hearing dhi if a newer alternate version of fue. Could it be better? Thoughts? I had this Istanbul hair transplant common message me on Instagram about it

I booked wong for November and Freitas said not available until may 2024

Freitas just responded and wouldn't be available until about 6 months after when I have my surgery scheduled for wong

They said this

Do you really think it is just a toss up between the 2 in terms of reliability and consistency of results and the transplanted hairs actually growing and not dying

I just asked them how far out they are booking for. Well I've seen more impressive before and after from Freitas I think. They are half the price too. I just need to make sure I don't make a bad choice and waste grafts I need as many of them to actually grow this time as possible.

Yeah apparently Freitas reevaluate my pictures and changed his mind and said he can do my surgery afterall. I already booked with Dr wong because Freitas turned me away. What do you guys think...Dr wong or Dr Freitas?

I recieved this email a few days ago then today I recieve the 2nd one. Contradicting eachother.

This is what they said about why Wong is a better choice for me

I reread the email they said it's "due to the fa toes associated with my case wong" wong would be assigned to me. Wong said something close to my proposed hairline would be reasonable. If wong achieves this I'd be very pleased.

I sent a follow up email asking if it's because both surgeons felt wong is better suited for my specific case. I wonder why

Other surgeons do mega sessions fine and get good yield. If I had gone to a surgeon that got good yield instead of asmed I definitely would not have needed 5000 grafts anyway. Maybe 2500 from a high yield surgeon woild have been really good. The above picture is one example of a good yield on a mega session. I don't plan or want to remove grafts from my beard. I plan to go to hasson next year for a small surgery to full in my hairline and square off the rounded part of the corners and fill in the vertex at the back that's thinning. I think he said I could harvest around 2750 more. I plan to do around 2000 probably. Some in my hairline and some in my vertex. This is my donor now

I have seen quite a few 4-5k graft surgeries before and after photos that are much much much more yield than mine. Honestly my before and after at asmed is not that noticeable especially Considering the grafts used

When you see a result like this with only 4500 grafts and you compare to the 5000 grafts I had at asmed and my before after its extremely obvious that so many of my grafts did not grow

I'm sure it was some methodological error throughout the surgery

That's exactly what I mean by poor yield. A small percentage of grafts grew.

My yield was EXTREMELY poor for 5000 grafts at asmed

Right but Freitas said the reason was depleted donor. Kinda seems as if he just read my case but didn't look at my pictures
