  1. Damn well I really hope this didn’t cause permanent damage to the follicle
  2. No it was perm solution. Next time when my hair grows out and is all freshly grown hair I plan to try a keratin treatment instead as it is less harsh on the hairs. I really hope the hairs that broke do grow back
  3. The hair salon just uses perm solution like from when someone gets a perm, and they combed it through my hair to comb out waves in my hair to straighten it
  4. It’s only been a week since I mentioned the perm solution hair breakage issue, so it is still thin it will take along time to regain the density of all those hairs I lost
  5. I went to get a perm solution comb through to smooth out and straighten my hair 4.5 weeks ago and u fortunately the 12 minutes they left it in and combed it through was too long (I’ve done this before and didn’t have this issue) and a ton of hairs got damaged and broke off due to the nature of the perm solution and my hair has regressed quite a lot because of it. So now I am waiting for hair to grow back before posting more. But given so many hairs fell out it’s gonna take awhile. I messaged dr wong about it and he said it can take 6-8 months for it to go back to normal and it will most likely be fine. It’s cuz so many hairs fell out, takes time to regrow, but then also hairs go through the resting phase every so often as part of their normal cycle and take 3-4 months before they even start regrowing again. So for all of the hairs that fell out it’ll take some time for them all to come back. I imagine there was not any permanent damage since even using nair on body hair which literally dissolves the hair does not damage the hair follicle below and cause permanent loss.
  6. But wouldn’t it just be temporary? Even NAIR which literally dissolves hair for hair removal doesn’t cause permanent damage or affect the hair follicle. So even in a case where the grown hair gets damaged and breaks off.. shouldn’t it just grow back normally
  7. here this is easier. The numbers are months. So 5.4 means about a little less than half way through the 6th month and 6.25 means about 6 months and 1 week post op pre op 5.4 months post op 6.25 months post op
  8. Here’s a pre op vs 5.4 month comparison I posted already with a new pre op vs 6.25 month comparison below it in same position
  9. Gonna get my hair semi relaxed soon so I can smooth it out and style it easier
  10. Do you recommend any subscription services or cheapest way to get a monthly dose of minoxidil shipped to me? I just saw Ro does it for $30 monthly but I wonder if there is a cheaper service?
  11. I think I may try stacking oral minoxidil with topical finasteride too
  12. Here’s a pre op vs 5.4 month comparison in the living room lighting instead of bathroom lighting comparison from these angles too
  13. No just doing xyon I’m switching to dutasteride in 3-4 weeks
  14. Yeah I can do that too. Wong said if I want more density in the hairline I can do another surgery after 12 months. I will probably wait more like 2 years so I have more time financially to spread it out. But ya if it remains see through I’d probably wanna do a small surgery to help increase density in that area a bit. My brown seems to be filling in nicely currently and with xyon we will see how it changes. Ava the extra year will allow me to see if the xyon is stabilizing my hair loss.
  15. It’s actually not wet. I think it is just greasier. It is brushed back in the before as well, however I didn’t try to reduce the waviness as much and the hairs kind of waved away from the midline of the scalp that divides the left and right part of the head. but I understand what you mean
  16. Pre op 3.8 months 5.4 months keep in mind improvement is commingled with xyon
  17. I think the crown top photo was still having shock loss to be honest and now it’s better but I expect more improvement over next several months but also I only had 300 grafts in crown I am also using xyon though but I have bad consistency with the xyon. I think I am about 70% compliant so 7/10 days I use it maybe but I’m gonna try to get that up to 90%
  18. It’s def not completely filled in but it looks like it’s improving I hope it improves more over next several months
