  1. Looks great. How does the back look? The donor area
  2. Thanks... I think I understood... 8 months. I like that answer. I understand it takes about a year for the hairs to fully mature... But 8 months after HT, if someone wants to add more density to same spot... It should be ok.
  3. I know most people say to wait a year.... but what is the shortest time possible to do a second HT ? I've read as short as 6 and 8 months too.
  4. Looks great. Do you know how many grafts he put in the crown area?
  5. I've had two HT and I paid quite a bit... But thanks to these forums, I found a great surgeon that has many great reviews and the best prices for FUE in the USA. Look him up, Dr. VORIES. You'll be paying literally half what you were quoted.
  6. I can help you with this.... There is only one Dr that I found on these forums that comes highly recommended and at this time charges $5 a graft. His name is Dr Vories. I know his plan for 2000 grafts will run you $9500. Another option, look into Dr. NADER. He's based out of Mexico... And he's been getting great reviews here, especially a set of video hair log experience that's incredible on YouTube by a guy named Tom Forrester I beleive. And the best part... You can def get 2000 grafts for under $7000.
  7. How bad us the previous scar? I recently had my second FUT. My first one was in 2008. And I plan to have another hair transplant, but my next one will be FUE. If you only need 2500 grafts.... Why not go the FUE rt?? And even have the doctor place some grafts into the scar? That's my plan... My next HT will be FUE to add density and help fix the scar. So many great doctors that perform FUE in these forums.
  8. I had my FUT with Dr Dorin last month.... but it was only after my procedure that i found out about trichophytic, and patients that had trichophytic closure done by Dr Dorin. Amazing results. And I wondered why i wasn't given this choice instead of what i received, which was regular closure of donor scar.... as obviously who wouldn't want the type of amazing results done with trichophytic closure. this was my response directly from Dr Dorin... "The candidacy for the trichophytic closure is evaluated on an individual basis, the use of it yielding good results are very limited. I have found using it on an indiscriminate basis yields scars wider, and worse in appearance than a straight closure would for the same patient. I almost never use it any longer for this and other issues that it can cause for future transplantation procedures during harvesting."
  9. I knew there was something fishy about this surgeon.... i contacted him and sent pics that i just wanted my crown done. And i made it was clear, just my crown area. he sent back what seemed like an automatic response email, saying Dr Civas saw my pics and recommended 3200 grafts fue for crown and front. And... i would get a discount if i post a positive review of my experience on this forum. now, a month later, i'm getting emails and messages through watsapp about big discounts if i book this month.
  10. Only you would know if you're losing hair in the crown. Looks good to me. I started Rogaine. At around 25-26 yrs old. And it's not that you become addicted... It's just Rogaine helps stop the hair loss (mostly in crown area) so... If you do Rogaine for let's say 5 years and you stop.... Whatever hairs you were supposed to lose naturally without using Rogaine, will fall off when you stop using Rogaine. That's why it's a lifelong commitment. I stopped Rogaine at like 37 yrs old, after using it for like ten years... And I lost a lot of the hair in my crown hair pretty quick after that.
  11. looks great. rogaine/monoxidil is best used for the crown area to hold on to the hairs you have..... you might want to start that if you are worried. but just know... it really does work, but once you start, its a lifetime commitment.
  12. Looks great man. I remember binge watching all your videos the other day and here you are posting. And that magnifier is cool. Great to have to keep track of progress.
  13. How's it going? Any updates? I had my HT with Dr Dorin last month.
  14. Thanks... I actually went with the fin from Target. $60 for 3 months supply of 1mg. I know I could of got the 5mg much cheaper and then have to break down the tabs but.... Nahhhhhh. I'm not beat. And I'm also taking that supplement, Biotin, now too.
  15. That's a question to ask the doctor you're considering. I went to a very reputable surgeon in NYC, and he had an opening the month after so I took it.
  16. Dermmatch is awesome.. You should need to learn how to apply it. Much better then toppic. Dermmatch won't fall out, you can brush it and it's waterproof. Best way to put dermmatch on. 1. Out the shower... Dry out hair with towel, but leave it damp. 2. Use a soft thick brush, and that's going to be your dermmatch brush. 3. Start applying the dermmatch.. make sure you cover the scalp area your trying to conceal. 4. Now use you brush to brush the dermmatch into the hairs, do this for like ten seconds.. 5. Use hair dryer on lowest setting... And blow on the spot that the dermmatch is on... Using the brush while blow drying. The end result is going to look great. Much much better then that toppic garbage. I'd say I consider myself a master at dermmatch using it for 8 yrs.
  17. looks really good at the 17th mark.... what doctor did you go to?
  18. I agree with you... Smp should be great with a HT to add look of density. Are you happy with the results? Would you mind posting some pics.
  19. Thanks Bill... You're definitely on the same page as me. A part of me just wants to do the crown area as soon as possible, becasue... I need it. so, at first I gave myself 3 months, (one very highly respected surgeon here in the US, and in these forums, said he would do it May and I'll be ok) but now I'm thinking 6 months. But... Like you said... What if I'm not happy with the front and need more. That would suck. I don't want to wait a year, since in theory I could actually do it much sooner. Decisions, decisions. The waiting game sucks.
  20. It's not two strip procedures... It's me wanting to go the FUE route. I had FUT two weeks ago. With the grafts being placed in a totally different area. I don't want to mention which doctors said what... But they definitely vary in opinion.
