  1. Not true. And both of my Rahal scars were/are pencil-line thin. Hasson scars that I’ve seen are remarkably thin as well. These two docs do this all day, everyday man. They’re elite. World class. Can you say that about Rosanelli?
  2. Certainly give Dr. Rahal serious consideration. I get nothing out of promoting him, but he's 2-for-2 in the two frontal surgeries I've had with him. First link in my signature below would be a good read for you, man...
  3. Sorry to see this. If I were in your exact situation, I'd definitely undergo a scar revision. Then 2+ years later, perhaps FUE into new scar (if needed, and if enough grafts in the bank)
  4. 2 months is such a short time frame that my uneducated guess would be that this is temporary, and something "environmental" has caused it: stress, new shampoo, crazy new weird diet or vitamin regimen, etc... In other words, it's probably temporary These things above never really effect my hair EXCEPT for overuse of harsh shampoos
  5. I had/have great results, and I smoke. Difficult to say how it can, will, or won't effect results imho. I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over it :-)
  6. Wow. Who says there’s no cure for baldness??
  7. If I remember correctly, I think jackblack mentioned in a previous thread that he had scalp elasticity issues and another FUT wasn't an option for him.
  8. Just seeing this HTR..., Yes, up close and in-person my combined 2xHT's look undetectable. Just passed 5 months and both growth/thickening still occurring -- I should probably update this thread with pics soon I suppose. Send me a pm and we can meet up if you're ever in my neck of the woods.
  9. Yo, JeanLuc, we appreciate your helping others around here. Honestly we really do. But tame it down a bit maybe eh? No need to be so aggressive. You can "tell it like it really is" while ALSO showing a little more humility.
  10. Can you upload a few pics? I do think it will help for a few reasons: 1. Better advice from forum members 2. Mental and emotional relief - getting pics of your hair out to all of us may help you to feel "less alone" in all of this
  11. Agree with Spanker and JeanLuc. This is/was a successful HT
  12. RG71, Just looked and saw that you're 46 and a nw2. If this is true, send me a PM. If you're not opposed to FUT, my advice may help you with the mental tennis you're playing about getting an HT or not getting an HT. Read my entire first thread and send me a message if you'd like. Full disclosure: I represent only me and truly wanna help. I'm not paid $ by anyone. I just know EXACTLY what you're debating about in your head
  13. Enjoying quite a wall of hair in my hairline. Hard to explain how nice it feels. I had just an "island dollup" of a forelock when this all started. This pic is my WEAKER side too. So pleased and only 4.5 months post-op round 2. :-)
  14. Well, I can only speak of how things are/went according to my experience -- i.e., my hair type, my surgeon, my age, my hair color.... Round one was very natural for a few reasons (in my opinion): 1. I chose Dr. Rahal and I chose FUT, in an area of the head that he is one of the best (if not the best) in the world -- my frontal third. 2. I have FINE hair caliber, which gives a subtle, refined, delicate, non-harsh, non-abrupt look at the hairline. 3. My hair is salt 'n pepper color, which goes well with my fair/medium skin tone. EVEN when I had it dyed black however, it looked very natural at the hairline -- so, throwing out #3 above, you have (#2 above) my fine hair caliber, plus (#1) Rahal's unrivaled artistry with 1 hair FU's in the hairline, and 2 hair FU's just behind the hairline. It doesn't hurt that I'm 42, able to "afford 4000+ grafts upfront" from a follicle availability standpoint, that I'm on finasteride, and that I was gifted intact temple points. - Hope this helps answer your Q's @gasthoerer
  15. Yo Mav! Yes, I really really am pleased that I went and got round two done. Just brushing / sliding my palm up along my forehead and into the hairline, I can feel a lot more hair packed in there. And being that it's only just over 4 months, those "new hairs" are only about a quarter-inch to half-inch long right now. "Rev333" on this forum was helpful in explaining to me via PM that the hair restoration process is just that: a process. So, one and done isn't really to be expected. I understand what he means/meant now. So, if you're reading this @rev333, thank you. I'll also keep you and your advice in mind when/if I ever need to get my mid-scalp done.
  16. the strip that gets removed is actually smaller than some people may think. It looks like an earthworm right after removal actually. Not like some big "flat" flap of scalp. Density is the same in my donor -- not gonna knitpick about it. ------------- Look at these transformative pics to help me/us/you/viewers get this thread back on track :-) --guessing I'm 65ish grafts/cm2 upfront, after this 2nd FUT in frontal third.
  17. You're correct Matt. From a hair LENGTH standpoint, you're seeing mainly my first HT result. BUT, there's a lot of short-hair growth "in my frontal third" area which is only about half-inch in length. Right now that's acting as "filler" but in a few months it will be "standard hair length" which will certainly add to my current situation. In any lighting, my hair looks damn good and going with Dr. Rahal for 2x FUT in my frontal third has been my best decision ever, really. I don't think other FUT Gods such as Hasson, Konior, etc... could have done any better. Comparable? Yes, better? NO...
  18. Here's my 4 month update. First two pics -- before ANY hair transplants. Third pic -- post-op 1 year after 1st HT all the rest -- four months from various angles, lighting, etc... ---- ROUND TWO -- not as thrilling as round 1 obviously, and at 4 months my great result from round 1 is back -- PLUS now my new 1204 grafts are "filling in" to give me coverage. At 5 months will look even better. More in a month....
  19. When I first started taking propecia, there wasn't a generic option, but once there was I switched over right away. FYI - big 4 month update tonight or tomorrow, but here's a quick iPhone single pic update: --- OOPS -- update should be (and will be) on my round two thread. Here's the link (sorry): http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/186586-round-2-rahal-1204-fut-frontal-third-same-area.html
  20. Amazing already. I'm at 4 months post-op and will be posting my Rahal update soon. Great choice to get FUT with Dr. Rahal man. Excellent result
