  1. There are certain laws that prevent them from stating too much on their website, because this is a compounded drug that is not FDA approved for hair loss. They have to get everything cleared by lawyers to make sure it’s compliant before posting publicly. I will get more information on this.
  2. I would not recommend anyone buy sourced compounds from alibaba. Its from China, notorious for sending fake products. God knows what you’ll receive. If it’s about money, just get on generic oral dutasteride, much safer.
  3. I believe they’ve studied the topical dutasteride a lot longer than when they initially applied for the patent. So this may not be the most up to date information. I know they tried various dosages from once per week, 3x per week, and daily. This was probably their initial studies.
  4. Looks like your crown has made HUGE improvements. Thanks for keeping the hair lengths consistent. Makes it easier to track your progress.
  5. Where did you get this? Dr. Hasson told me that their results were better with daily use. Can you post the link.
  6. I know this is NOT what you want to hear. Getting surgery at this level is a SERIOUS financial commitment. The strategy of doing just the hairline is a bad idea IMO. Your donor has gotten worse. At 19 your lateral humps we’re still intact, now they’re visibly receding downward. At 34 they might continue. It’s very possible you end up like Jon Polito. Hopefully not, but given your level of baldness at this age, definitely plan for that possibility in the future. I would give it at least 6-9 months to see how your donor improves on medication. But then also consider that you will need to stay on meds forever to keep that transplanted hair.
  7. I’m always scouting for new doctors. Dr. Pittella was virtually unknown when I discovered him in Brazil. I would be curious to find some doctors from South Korea.
  8. Check their library. I believe they released their studies. Also, they did break down their studies on our live podcast last year.
  9. I started a similar topic years ago, with many of the name’s already added. I would agree Dr. Cuoto and Dr. Ferreira are excellent surgeons. I would say Dr. Pinto is another great surgeon. I’ve heard good things about Dr. Heitmann, but I haven’t seen any reviews yet for him here. As for Dr. Leal, his work looks incredible, but seems he isn’t a feasible option now, if he isn’t taking new patients.
  10. Definitely gonna go down in our hall of fame. I’m getting ready to create a pinned post with all of our hall of fame cases.
  11. I would say start meds at least 6 months before surgery. You may get a considerable amount of regrowth, which will significantly reduce the number of grafts and cost.
  12. Everything is looking right on track 👍🏼
  13. As far as I’m aware its $99 per bottle, I believe its a 6 month subscription. I think you can pause the subscription if you don’t need as many bottles per month. I still haven’t received my bottle yet 🙁
  14. Minoxidil has been around longer than finasteride, how are there no long-term studies? The fact of the matter is that genetic hair loss requires treatment, the best treatments available are minoxidil (preferably oral) and some form of an anti-androgen. The most powerful one is dutasteride. If you’re losing hair, best to get on meds if you want to save your hair. Now, not everyone can tolerate meds, but at least give it a try. Everything else is a waste of time and money. The whole point of being on this forum is to learn about the best treatments and surgeons based on results/reviews. I think this conversation has swayed from the initial topic of discussion. Please let me know if you would like me to create a new topic to keep the discussion going.
  15. First post defending clinic, nothing suspicious there, and how could visiting a clinic be better than looking up real independent reviews? Every clinic will show you their cherry picked work. On the forum you see the real deal.
  16. I haven’t switched to dut yet. But yea little over a month on topical fin and no sides. Not all topicals are created equal, and yes some topicals do pass through the blood stream quite easily.
  17. I don’t know how anyone can say this isn’t impressive. Especially because this is a 20+ year difference.
  18. I think his result looks good. Obviously, you could nitpick anyones HT. But his is definitely one of the best famous HTs I’ve seen.
  19. He’s a smart guy. Also, must’ve gone to an excellent surgeon.
  20. It may improve slightly, but if the signs of overharvesting are there, its not likely.
  21. Why is that an issue? Oral minoxidil is very effective, and Dr. Bisanga himself switched from finasteride to oral minoxidil, he said he saw no difference. As for no scientific studies, that’s not true at all. Here’s a study Dr. Vaño did in 2021. I will be speaking to him this year in a podcast. Now whether it’s equal to finasteride is debatable. I think ultimately, using both is the best. But obviously, that is a patient’s personal choice. Minoxidil has been around longer than finasteride, but suddenly the internet claims there’s no long term studies or safety. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33639244/
