  1. I would have had Dr Umar take beard hair from under your jaw line to the neck line and also ask him to get as many head hairs via FUE as possible. I think you would have been ok with that plan.
  2. Here are my 4 1/2 month photos. On May 14, 2009 Dr Wong was able to transplant 5,485 grafts on my completely bald head. This is where I started from: After a little more growth I'm going to try some concealer and see how it looks.
  3. I purchase Dr Reddy's Dutasteride from this website: https://www.generics.ws/Generi...de_0.5_mg-p-116.html I get 300 of the .5mg for $285.
  4. I used www.orbitz.com I checked out Orbitz and found a flight from Manchester, UK to Vancouver for $556. You can also include a search for "Flight + Hotel" to find a deal. I know Hasson and Wong give you a Flight Allowance. I would just ask if they can give you a Hotel Allowance and then just stay in the hotel of your choice.
  5. Why is strip advised for over 500 grafts ? If you need more than 3,000 grafts then doing FUE is a mistake. FUE is more expensive and takes more time to have done. FUE also has the potential to cause scarring especially if you are having a large number of grafts done. The yield of FUE is also less than strip. According to Dr Ron Shapiro these are the disadvantages to FUE: http://www.regrowhair.com/hair...-transplant-surgery/ If you need 5,000 grafts you are not a good candidate for FUE.
  6. I did an online consultation, but I was already pretty much convinced after doing my own research on Dr Wong. The day before my surgery Dr Wong and I sat down and had a consultation. My hotel was only 5 minutes away, so it was very convenient, and it put me at ease the night before the surgery.
  7. Hi hairadv, Hasson and Wong have been Pioneers in the field of hair transplantation. They were the first to do "mega-sessions" on a consistent basis. The main reason I chose Dr Wong is because he was the creator of the Lateral Slit Incision. Many of the top hair transplant surgeons have trained with Hasson and Wong or adopted their techniques, which speaks for itself. I believe the Lateral Slit Incisions allow Hasson and Wong to dense pack more efficiently and it causes less trauma to your scalp, which allows for faster healing. H&W obviously have been using this techinique longer than any other clinics, so I felt the most comfortable going with the guy who created it. Browse their website and videos. I think their results speak for themselves. Good Luck!
  8. Hasson and Wong consistently do more than 5,000 grafts in1 session than any other clinic. If you need that many grafts than FUE is not for you and you can be "one and done" with H&W. Do an online consultation with H&W. Go to HassonandWong.com and look at their amazing videos: http://hassonandwong.com/hair-transplant-videos.php When I max out my donor, via strip, I will then go with FUE, but when you need that many grafts strip is the way to go in the beginning. Good luck!
  9. Congratulations Mane Attraction! Very impressive. You are going to look 10 years younger! Dr Rahal does fantastic work. I am looking forward to your 6 month photos.
  10. Jotronic, from Hasson and Wong, posts new videos every Friday. The results speak for themselves and all the videos are shot in HD. Nothing can be hidden in these videos. Decide for yourself: http://hair-restoration-info.c...21087683/m/373102691
  11. Here are my 11 weeks photos. My grafts didn't start falling out until 6 weeks had gone by so I think my growth will be a little behind the average growth rate. My wife was starting to wonder if they were going to fall out and I kept telling her they eventually would. 11 weeks scar in back: 11 weeks scar side: 11 weeks top of head photos: 11 weeks left side photo: Waiting for the grafts to grow is the worst part of this whole process, but I will wait patiently.
  12. Having FUE done first will decrease your future yield. If you want to shave your hair down to a #1 don't have any kind of a hair transplant and just shave your hair down to a #1. If you are a NW 4 or higher I believe you should have strip done first and then FUE. That's my plan. Max out with strip surgery and then use FUE in the future if I need to. If you want to shave your head, just save your self the thousands of dollars, and don't get a hair transplant at all.
  13. I respectfully disagree with you Dr Lindsey. Even a "little" trimming is going to be cutting away valuable grafts. When you are a NW6, like myself, you want as many grafts as you can get if you are planning on a second procedure. In which cases do you not do a tri-closure?
  14. I think alot of people are intimidated to post on internet forums. My Dad is retired and he reads all kinds of sports forums and he could offer great insights, but he refuses to post his opinion. He also isn't really internet savvy so he probably couldn't even figure out out how to make a post. LOL!
  15. Great post Dr Mejia! Thanks for taking the time to explain this so effectively. I was 100% certain I would be going back, to see Dr Wong for a second procedure, so I want to be able to get the maximum amount of grafts out of my donor next time. Obviously, this is a decision patients need to educate themselves on, also.
  16. Thanks for the kind words Raphael. I appreciate it. I'll post more photos when I have a chance. My wife accidently dropped our camera so we need to get a new one. My scar is looking great and Dr Wong didn't even do a tri-closure, yet! I told Dr Wong that I was planning on coming back for a second surgery so he didn't do a tri-closure. That way he can get more grafts out of my donor next time.
  17. I wore a loose fitting baseball cap the next day after the surgery and had no problems. I put a folded piece of cloth on my forehead and set the front of the cap on that to prevent the top of the hat from touching my grafts. It worked great!
  18. You are right Bill. I meant to say only go to Coalition Physicians that are recommended and screened by the Hair Transplant Network. I'll edit my post to reflect that accurately.
  19. I agree with Please Grow Please. If you are worried about it just buy some gallon jugs of distilled water.
  20. You should go on Propecia and Rogaine immediately. Are you at least using Rogaine? If Propecia affects your sex drive then you can always go to EVERY OTHER DAY. That will normally alleviate any side effects of Propecia. You won't know unless you at least try it!! If you are this young losing hair then getting on Propecia could be a huge benefit. I would take your refund and go to a Coalition Physician that are recommended and screened by the Hair Transplant Network.
