  1. And to provide perspective please remember I was a borderline NW 7 before starting this. Dr Wong started me off with a great base to start from, but I have a HUGE area to cover. This is where I started from:
  2. Hi Stingray, Here are my pre-op pictures. I had shaved my head about 4 weeks prior so my hair is shorter.

  4. I apply Rogaine when I get home from work. I then wash my hair before going to bed. I only do it once a day, because it's too much of a mess in the morning.
  5. Great write up Stingray! It looks like Dr Bisanga did a great job. Congratulations.
  6. Congratulations YouOnlyLiveOnce! Your transplant looks fantastic! Dr Hasson did a great job.
  7. I decided to have my 3rd hair transplant with Dr Sanusi Umar of Redondo Beach California. Dr Umar was a friendly and fun guy to talk to. Dr Umar's staff was also very friendly and made me feel at ease immediately. Since I am a borderline Norwood 7 I asked Dr Umar to transplant 5,000 grafts. I also asked him to address my scar as I would like to be able to cut my hair shorter in the future. My ultimate goal is to be able to cut my hair pretty short in the future. The surgery lasted for 3 days from 7:30am to 8:00pm every day. I stayed at the beautiful Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club, which is only a short walk to Dr Umar's clinic. In total Dr Umar was able to transplant 5,035 grafts. 2300 came from my beard and the remaining came from head and nape hair. 1,750 head and nape hair was used in my hairline/frontal scalp region. 3,285 head and beard grafts were used in my crown. 300 beard grafts were place into my strip scar. Originally Dr Umar thought I would need 750 beard grafts, for my scar, but Dr Jerry Wong did such a phenomenal job that the scar was so thin I only needed 300 beard grafts. HAIRLINE/FRONTAL SCALP: CLOSE UP OF HAIRLINE: LEFT TEMPLE: RIGHT TEMPLE: BEARD GRAFTS INTO SCAR: BEARD GRAFTS INTO LEFT SIDE: BEARD GRAFTS INTO RIGHT SIDE: I think for my next hair transplant I will ask Dr Umar to try some body hairs, into my crown, and see how they grow.
  8. I had my third hair transplant surgery with Dr Umar. He was nothing but professional and honest. I exchanged many emails with Dr Umar before moving forward and he answered every question very thoroughly. I had 5,000 FUE and beard hair transplanted into my hairline, crown, and scar. It lasted 3 days. You don't have to send the full amount all at once. I actually made 3 payments before my hair transplant surgery and Dr Umar was very accomodating. At first I was a little concerned about paying in full, prior to the procedure, but I also have my own business and am able to relate to a physician wanting to be paid in full before a procedure. Dr Umar's time is in high demand. He has staff salaries to pay and a high overhead. He doesn't have time to deal with people not paying for a procedure afterwards. Or stringing him along not paying in a timely fashion. I can absolutely relate to this having to deal with overdue invoices from my customers every month. I am very satisfied with what Dr Umar has done for me so far. He was very personable, professional, and accomodating. Being a bad Norwood 6 (boderline 7) having someone like Dr Umar being able to use body hair to offer more density is a blessing and I look forward to my next procedure with Dr Umar.
  9. These are my 6 month photos from my 2nd hair transplant with Dr Wong. This is what my hair looked like before the second procedure:
  10. Hey Future_HT_Doc, Could you please change the username to this post to Drew35? Red20 is a username I never used before I went with Drew35. Actually can you just delete the Red 20 profile? Thanks!
  11. I agree. I had never heard of a temporal scalp reduction before. It is very interesting and she does look better.
  12. Thanks Fingers Crossed. I appreciate the kind words.
  13. Nothing wrong with that. Better safe than sorry.
  14. I want to provide clarification on this. At the end of my 2nd surgery I misunderstood Dr Wong at how difficult a 3rd surgery would be. I have been informed that as long as I do my scalp exercises Dr Wong will be able to do a 3rd surgery no problem. So I will be able to have a 3rd surgery with Dr Wong. Depending on how much my donor loosens up the estimate is 1,500 to 2,000 in a 3rd surgery. __
