  1. What an excellent use of grafts. The patient has certainly benefited from the procedure. Social reinsertion is a huge concern that patients face when they have reached the post-op period and desire as much undetectability as possible.
  2. Make an extra effort to embrace her insecurities and always keep respect your first priority. If this is understood, just maintain your composure as you divulge your secret when you two get too comfortable with each other. Try to trade secrets when she initiates conversation that's relative to personal appearance and topics of similar subject matter. Every girl has a certain time when they feel less attractive; usually about once a month under normal circumstances:) Lastly, remember to keep it simple and show no fear! It's better to get more familiar with her before you pop the hair loss experiences bottle. Best of luck!
  3. From a realistic point of view, you are taking the best approach in finding how to effectively manage expectations. You can truly benefit from the procedure when you know and understand the limitations. I suspect that you should have an optimal yield as your regrowth continues into maturity. From the immediate post-op photos, I see that your density in the recipient looks very good. The best aspect of the waiting period is that the hair arrives with subtlety so the psychological effects may slowly digest with you and those in close proximity to you. You will find that your goals slowly evolve and you develop more of a sense of determination to critique the results with each noticeable change in your appearance. I have noticed that mostly the individuals with advanced hair loss arrive to the possibility that a subsequent procedure ultimately provides a touch-up opportunity. Depending on the approach for the initial procedure, usually individuals will designate their time and resources to the primary objective; however, the necessity for any additional surgery is usually considered by most individuals who desire less conservative density. Congratulations on the early growth! Thanks for sharing, Stewiemason.
  4. Hi London81. Identifying your current hair loss and documenting its progression is a vital part of finding your most beneficial treatment plan. Another consideration that may be helpful to you is receiving a second consultation with a reputable hair restoration specialist. If your hair loss is suspected not to be in a typical male pattern, your doctor may order a chemistry blood test to check for amounts of certain elements made in the body. I hope there is something here that is helpful to you with deciding your next course of action.
  5. Hello. This incident of continued growth is an uncommon condition that could be related to your physiology, post-op care products, or the amount of trauma that is created during your procedure. I'd enjoy seeing the surgery photos if you have any. Thanks for sharing, Alidigi3333!
  6. Dr. Patrick Mwamba, MD, successfully treated this 40-year-old Norwood 3 patient by transplanting 2500 FUE by FIT grafts in one session over multiple days. The patient has light brown hair of a medium-fine caliber with average donor density. At six months post-op, this patient has obtained significant coverage and is pleased with the noticeable improvement. Although an individual’s hair loss pattern and hair characteristics are unique, one can compare the details of this case to find insight on what to expect as a result of surgical hair restoration. We are certainly proud to present yet another patient who has benefited from surgical hair restoration at MyWHTC clinic in Brussels, Belgium. This patient has no apprehension of being identified in public as a hair transplant patient.
  7. @M0dthispny Congratulations on the wonderful improvement! Congrats to the doc as well!
  8. Hello everyone, We plan on having a wonderful weekend in the United Kingdom. Come see us!
  9. @Perth87 Hi there. You should have no problem wearing a loosely fitting cap immediately after the procedure. Your clinic could also write a letter requesting that you be permitted to keep the hat on throughout your travels. Try to wait a week if you intend on wearing a hat on a daily basis. Cards are more expensive for sure, but you'd lose more money if you lost the cash.
  10. @Perth87 Hi. There are many things that you can do to expedite post-op healing. During the first three days, you must be most cautious and prevent the scalp from being injured. The key to a quick recovery is to start gently scrubbing the grafts with warm soapy water at about four days. After six days, you can aggressively scrub the scalp using a warm washcloth and your finger tips. Remember not to use your finger nails for any reason. Try to keep your hair in the recipient area as long as possible so that it can lay over the grafts. The donor area can be treated with anti-inflammation cream and warm soapy water. If you keep the donor area clean, you can successfully expedite the healing in the region. In most cases, the donor area can be scrubbed after a matter of a few hours. Your doctor's FUE preparation of the donor area will dictate most of what you will be able to hide, but keeping longer hair will simplify the matter of being detectable. Each preparation method of FUE can offer some limitation. Best of luck on your future procedure, Perth87!

  12. After observing the preoperative photos, it's apparent that the frontal scalp had no definition and poor symmetrical value to offer the patient's facial features prior to the FUE by FIT session. It comes as no secret that this patient would prefer to avoid the chance of more significant scarring from another strip procedure. The previous clinic may have likely attempted to sell this patient another unsightly linear scar to further complicate a bad situation. A shocking loss is how most individuals would view the disposition. To see a hair loss sufferer witness the loss of their precious donor hair follicles always comes as a shock. The yield from the 2,515-graft FUE by FIT hair transplant procedure was notably more effective than the procedure previously performed at another clinic. This is an acceptable result with regard to the nature of repair. As of now, the patient's investment of time, trust, and financial resources were worth the achieved aesthetic improvement. By utilizing unquestionable ethics and uncompromisable compassion, Dr. Patrick Mwamba's surgical staff continually afford unique hair loss treatments for each individual patient at MyWHTC hair restoration clinic.
  13. What a big change in appearance!... Lighter hair provides less contrast among the patient's physical characteristics. All of these details assist with creating the illusion of coverage. The illusion of coverage is the purpose of hair transplantation.
  14. @Mike1978, Hi. Your graft count will depend on what you are trying to achieve. You can postpone surgery and keep a thin-looking crown, but what do you want from hair transplant surgery in terms of goals for both areas? Have you considered non-surgical options or how much hair loss you could see in the next couple of years?
  15. It's ridiculous to need plug removal. The amount of time that is required to repair plugs is unpredictable. Some plugs are more difficult to repair than others. There are also many different forms of plugs because of the outdated methods of surgical hair restoration that are still being performed. Some plugs can be disguised and others must be removed. Expert plug removal is extremely difficult to find because few clinics actually specialize in this corrective hair transplant procedure. Not many individuals can go to their nearest hair transplant doctor for top-notch hair transplantation, much less hair transplant repair. Too many bad hair transplant doctors make the process of repair far more difficult than it should be. The patients who seek repair already find it extremely hard to trust another surgeon and the unavailability of a good repair surgeon will impose even more heart ache for the hair loss sufferer. After so much wasted time and hard earned-money spent, we tell all hair loss sufferers that it is also their responsibility to properly invest their time before making any decisions about surgical hair restoration. There are failed patients who take no initiative with researching their physician's plan of action. Education about what to expect from a hair transplant procedure is how to avoid the common mistakes. Being taken advantage of can be hard for any patient but we do have resources on the internet to find out what's effective in today's hair restoration methods. One decision can have multiple irreversible effects and leave an individual lost on their journey to surgical hair restoration.

  17. I personally don't see SMP as being practical but to each its own. Ink will always be foreign to the body as it immediately begins to be continually forced out of the body while it fades oftentimes with disfiguring effects. I've seen more than one patient with purple strip scars which only translates to a bad decision manifesting into a further complicating state of unnatural appeal as it can result in further debilitating infractions and wasted resources to say the least. I tend to see SMP as an over priced, one-dimensional form of tattoo art that is highly restrictive to individuals' choices of hairstyles that forever ruin or degrade the orientation and appearance of the scalp forever.
  18. Hair transplantation is a journey that is somewhat similar to travel on a run-away train. Once you board , it's ridiculously difficult to deboard and exit without taking some form of loss. I am so pleased that you are at least educating yourself as to the nature of this beast of a condition that takes young men and consumes their lives while they focus on the present with much less regard for the future. Your consultation was certainly a beneficial service from a truly ethical standpoint in every sense of the word. Take care, Yeeaah.
  19. The beard tissue happens to be considerably resilient but its increased blood flow seems to stimulate the reproduction of collagen. Skin cells in this area are renewed faster, especially when exfoliation is accomplished. For example, notice how when you cut yourself during shaving, it only requires a day or so to heal. I favor beard hair as an ideal source of donor body hair because of the fact that it grows at a similar rate as scalp hair and it shares the likeness in quality as well. Beard hair also works wonders with camouflaging the appearance of linear scarring (strip scars) and shows to produce acceptable yields once it is transplanted into scar tissue. However, harvesting beard hair isn't as easily accomplished as one might assume. I'll see if I can put together some realistic depictions of a few healing results from beard hair harvesting. I will attempt to present intra-operative video footage and medical photography to reveal a viewers point-of-view from the operating room. I am certainly happy that the fellow forum members are healing as well as you seem to be and your healing is seemly showing upward progression. Sometimes a patient might experience some inflammation so hydrocortisone can be applied as a topical during immediate postoperative care.
  20. The beard, face, and chin areas usually heal remarkably well after surgery. Not all patients will heal the same so we effectively utilize a system to identify patients who may be more likely to have noticeable scarring after surgery.
