  1. Rhon271, 3 months is too soon to be worrying about results. There's no way that you can assess the yield from the procedure at this particular time. Growth may take up to 12 months, but we've also seen it come in three months. The best thing that you can do is not stress about it. Mentally prepare yourself for the wait and keep a positive mindset. Take your concern away from the present and focus on maintaining the native (non-transplanted) hair that you still have. Stay away from tanning beds and try to avoid standing in front of mirrors as much as possible. Meet WHTC's Dr. Mwamba in London - Free consultations on Feb. 15th, 2014 (Sat.) 2. Hello everyone, Here's one more view that depicts this twelve month result. Meet WHTC's Dr. Mwamba in London - Free consultations on Feb. 15th, 2014 (Sat.) 3. Hey Traction, A loose fitting bandana would do well for your travel back home. A large fitted cap that is several sizes larger than your actual size shouldn't damage the grafts either. You may want to bring a headband along with you if you have one. Wearing a head band will help minimize any swelling as you heal. Definitely avoid having anything attaching to the scabs in the front. It would be ideal to rearrange your hair to cover the grafts in recipient area if at all possible. The more air you allow to the grafts the faster they will heal. You may want to consider staying close to the clinic for a few days after the procedure before traveling. You could then give yourself the opportunity for the medical staff to inspect the areas should you experience anything of concern. There's no need to rush back if you have the time. 4. Hi Ranonym, Would it be possible for you to post a couple of photos showing the recipient area and placement of the grafts immediately after the procedure. Seeing the exact areas that were treated would help determine what is visible in these one month post-op photos. A pre-op photo would be good to see as well. I will gladly tell you my perspective and opinion after seeing the documentation. I would not dismiss the possibility of early growth. The front looks very healthy. www.mywhtc.com Email: customer.care@whtc.com New - London consultations with Dr. Patrick Mwamba - Sat., Feb. 15th, 2014
  5. Here is another update on this particular case. The newly constructed frontal hair line is more aesthetically appealing and dramatically improves the balancing of the patient's face. The patient's confidence and quality of life has improved considerably since the procedure. The patient has no apprehension of being detected as a hair transplant patient. The results are natural and also give the patient more options of hair styles. We are extremely honored to have another patient achieve their goal. 6. Individuals who considerably suffer from hair loss aren’t always aware that their hair loss may progress well into their far future. Despite lengthy consultation with multiple hair restoration specialists, there are patients who are not well-informed about the nature of hair loss prior to scheduling a procedure. The main concern that many prospective hair transplant patients seem to have oftentimes is about their appearance after the procedure. Hair transplant patients want no more than to be able to avoid being a public spectacle. Many patients believe that their hair restoration surgery is worth everything imaginable. These patients find satisfaction in knowing that they chose a good surgeon who delivers perfectly natural results. The reality that uninformed patients don’t see is that one procedure doesn’t necessarily solve their hair loss for a lifetime. Patients must be aware that their hair loss may continue as time passes. Long after a hair transplant, a patient may lose the pre-existing hair while the transplanted hair is retained. These patients more than likely would have much less hair had the hair transplant not been performed. Losing more hair may make these individuals desire to restore these areas of the scalp depending on their appearance. Some patients will need further hair transplant. Some patients may maintain a natural, thinning look despite the hair loss. Progressive hair loss should be a main consideration for anyone who is seeking a hair transplant. The use of medical therapy is also an important consideration for any hair loss sufferer. 8. This patient pursued our clinic in hopes of increasing density in the frontal scalp and reinforcing the top by Follicular Isolation technique. Similar to FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), the physician is able to harvest hair in the donor area (back of head) without use of a scalpel. FIT involves no need for stitches, sutures, or linear scarring. The patient has wavy, salt-n-pepper hair of a medium caliber with about average donor density. The patient's hair characteristics are ideal and offer excellent coverage value. Coverage value is beneficial for patients who have an advanced degree of hair loss. Dr. Mwamba successfully treated the patient by transplanting 3500 FIT grafts in one session over multiple days. During the procedure, the patient requested of Dr. Mwamba to selectively harvest significantly darker hair from the donor area. The patient desired for the less pigmented hair to be avoided. The 3500 grafts were strategically harvested and placed into the recipient area at a very specific calculated density. At twelve months post-op, this patient has obtained significant coverage and is pleased with the new improvement. 9. After placing reference points to the photos, you can more clearly see where the growth has thickened the right side of the patient’s hairline. The growth has significantly added more balance to the patient’s face. This new hairline is more appropriate and aesthetically satisfying to the patient. The angles and locations of the temple peaks are also very appropriate for this particular patient. This patient is fortunate to have a class II hair loss pattern. The 1200 FUE grafts were well placed to increase the overall density of the frontal hairline and establish more defined temporal points. This result is totally undetectable as a hair transplant. After 1200 FUE, all you can see is a soft and natural hairline. Hair line work has to be done with perfection because it’s what most individuals notice first. Even though hair transplant industry has made upward progression, there are still many hair-transplant surgeons who can’t mimic how mother-nature designs the hairline. It costs more to repair a bad hairline than it does to build a good one. Contact Us - Click here! *New London consultations on Feb. 15th, 2014 My opinions are not necessarily Dr. Mwamba's opinion.
