Definietly noticable results here, and I agree with the recommendation of another procedure but I completely understand the patient's reservation if he is already satisfied. How were these hair grafts broken up? I see that there was a lot of area covered, but why focus on the crown when the patient could have likely had better results with better placement of usable grafts in the front/hairline areas?

I agree with both David and Mick. This patients results are truly ideal for any patient attempting to achieve a natural hairline. Great work Dr. Gabel! (I also appreciate that you specified how many hairs were in each transplanted graft. I think that this information is a great insight for all of us wanting to know exactly how the density was achieved)

This is the follow up video of a recently posted case by Dr. Parsa Mohebi: Please feel free to view the original posting for before and after photos here: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/157024-dr-mohebi-2439-fut-grafts-class-iii-patient-post-op-10-months-elapsed.html Double edged trichophytic closure is a new approach to donor wound closure. Double edged or two sided trichotomy can help to minimize the complications of trichophytic closure based on the width of epithelium that is being removed and inability of some the hair follicles or oil glands to find their way out to the skin surface. Hair Restoration Surgery is evolving rapidly and we are consistantly refining our approach on a regular basis to improve the quality of transplanted hair while at the same time minimize the possibility complications. Double edged trichophytic closure helps us to minimize the width of the top skin layer (epithelium) that is being removed from each edge of the donor wound. This approach allows hair to grow into the wound from both edges and thus minimize the contrast between scar (with no hair) and surrounding scalp (with 100% hair density). By employing double edged trichophytic closure we constantly have results of less detectable donor scars and are able to minimize the risk of folliculitis or ingrown hairs in the donor area, which are the two common complications of trichotomy with the traditional methods.

"Robin, Thank you for posting this fantastic restoration. It looks like great coverage for the number of grafts. Do you have any immediately post-op photos showing graft placement?" Thanks TakingThePlunge, The following are the photos you requested, but I am posting them on this physicians thread to avoid any overrevealing photos for potential patients. Hope this is more of what you were looking to see.
