1652 FUE Grafts with Dr Laorwong - Absolute Hair Clinic Bangkok
rickyrixon replied to 3FN's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Guess he's well and truly off enjoying his new hair! If anything, I think his results look a little 'too good'...A bit of recession would have made it look more natural IMO. -
Dr yaman/erksan demisroy - where are you?
rickyrixon replied to don174's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I also emailed Demirsoy a couple of weeks ago and still no reply... -
Any updates? Would love to see how things are coming along!

As the other guys have said....don't get a transplant done in AUS. You will more than likely get a sub-par result and end up paying a fortune.

Dr Loarwong's website does not mention that Phuket location anywhere which is strange... -
AUSTRALIAN HT Please Help
rickyrixon replied to Khop's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Hi mate, I'm strongly thinking of going with Dr Loarwong too.. I know he's not recommended on here, but he seems to have some great results online and can't find a negative word written about him any where. Where in Aus are you? I'm in Melb -
AUSTRALIAN HT Please Help
rickyrixon replied to Khop's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
As with most things in Australia, the cost of hair transplant surgery is a farce! Also, from what I can gather, the overall standard/quality across the board is poor when compared to Europe, America and even parts of Asia. I would never get a transplant in Australia. -
Hi Joe, I didn't discuss Dr Knudsen at all... I guess I should have... I believe he manages 5 clinics and to the best of my knowledge I think he is based in Melbourne. You can obviously request to have surgery with Dr Knusden, but I would imagine it may cost more due to his level experience. As I said Dr Xu seemed ok, but he seemed to severely under estimate the number of grafts I needed (compared to what all others have told me) and the price for his proposed 1,000 FUE grafts was around 7000-8000 AUD. He was also saying i could choose to have the surgery done with ARTAS which is a robotic hair transplant system. In the end I just didn't feel right about the whole thing if I'm honest. I will definitely be heading abroad when the day comes for my surgery

In regards to Dr Knusden... I haven't met him personally but heard some good things. I did however have a consultation with Dr Zhen Yu Xu at the Knudsen Clinic in Sydney in Septemeber. It went ok but there were vitually no results I could find which this doctor personally did himself. Like others have told you you should definitely look aboard for better quality and more affordable work.

1652 FUE Grafts with Dr Laorwong - Absolute Hair Clinic Bangkok
rickyrixon replied to 3FN's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
This is a stunning result at only 6 months! You said you were going to post updates at months 9 and 12.. If you still lurk on these forums are you able to post some new pics? Were you on Propecia? -
Just my humble opinion but 1600 grafts doesn't seem like nearly enough... My hair loss is similar yet not quite as advanced as yours and I have been quoted everything from 2200 right up to 3200 from one doctor...

FUE without Finasteride / Propecia
rickyrixon replied to djohnson's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Hey DJohnson, I am in a very similar situation to you... 32 years old, similar hair loss pattern, been thinking of an FUE transplant for years and will NOT consider Propecia under any circumstances. I respect everyone's choice to take this medicine, but for me it is not as simple as 'trying' it first when there are many cases people having ongoing sexual side effects... As much as my hair loss plays on my mind and consumes me, I am thinking now to just hold off a bit longer until I am at least 35 before getting surgery. Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in being concerned about taking medication and not being prepared to take the risk. Good luck with whatever you decide- 18 replies

My operation with Dr Resul Yaman 14 Aug 2015 (4450 grafts))
rickyrixon replied to Indexo's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I think you are doing the right thing by waiting a bit longer before contacting the clinic.. If you contact them now they will just tell you to wait anyway (probably up to a year or maybe even more). As the other poster said your hair does seem to be improving slowly but surely. I wouldn't lose hope just yet.. Keep us updated with how it looks at 7 months. Cheers -
Dr Resul Yaman - Opinions or Alternatives
rickyrixon replied to Gaijin's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Great to hear! I too am strongly considering this doctor.. Have you posted your journey on this site? -
Dr Yaman is a recommended physician on this site, whereas Dr Ali Emre Karadeniz is not.. I personally would not consider having surgery with a doctor who was not currently recommended... Just my two cents...

Was it a certain Dr In Turkey who recommended you take this if you aren't willing to take Propecia? Pretty sure it's only in Turkey -

Thanks for sharing your photos unicio. I saw in another one of your posts that Dr Yaman said you have to wait a minimum 6 months to start seeing results, so I wouldn't be too disheartened at this point. I wish you great growth in the months ahead and I will be following your case closely. Are you taking any meds? -
Rusul Yaman direct patients not posted by clinic !!!!!
rickyrixon replied to darren smith's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I haven't seen any bad reviews which actually have pictures posted to back up negative claims..However, like you I would really like to see some more results posted from the community.
