  1. Unfortunately, I have to agree that this is MPB and not a mature hairline. Your hair loss reminds me a lot of mine in that you appear to have asymmetric receding...My right corner started receding when I was probably around 17 (may have just been a mature hairline not sure) and the left caught up sometime in my mid to late 20's. Now at 33, I have only lost a fraction more hair and probably a norwood 2.5-3.. Something similar could end up happening to you but it is so unpredictable... Look at your male relatives and it may give you some idea where you are heading.
  2. Wouldn't say you were a slow grower at all.. putting the before and after pics together like you've done really does show how far you've come...Looks exceptional!
  3. Thanks for posting a link to the study.. very interesting and surprising to read. I have not had a transplant as yet.. I'm probably going to wait until 35... Funnily enough, although I still have some small areas of dryness on my scalp, the psoriasis plaques around my hairline cleared up completely without any treatment around 6 months ago and haven't returned which is great! I do still have it on some other body areas though, albeit quite mild.
  4. Looks good, but it would be great if you could show us your hairline
  5. Did you have the second one done because the first result was not dense enough? Everything I have seen/read suggests he is a very ethical doctor, but he appears ultra conservative with the number of grafts he uses. Would you recommend him?
  6. Mesmerising! Have you been on propecia the whole time?
  7. Hey Dolph have you seen any further improvement? Your results look pretty solid I think.. Just a bit surprised Dr Saifi only implanted 1600 grafts. Your hair loss is probably slightly more advanced than mine (I am only 33 however), yet, I have been told I need anything from 1800 - 2500 grafts from the numerous doctors I have contacted. Anyway it's been great following your journey and I hope you feel satisfied with your results. Did you contact him about the possibility of a touch up?
  8. How much does Dr Saifi charge per graft? Also, I tried emailing him a couple of times but never got a response to my enquries... What's the best way to contact him? Thanks
  9. Coming in beautifully! You must be thrilled already and still many months of improvement ahead! Are you still using Fin and Minoxidil ?
  10. Sorry to hear about your disappointing results... Are you able to post any before and after pictures? It would be really helpful to others in this forum.
  11. I have yet to see any standout results from this doctor at all (which haven't been posted by the clinic themselves). I wouldn't expect much more improvement from here if any. I would think very carefully before returning to this doctor for a second procedure.
  12. Only heard very good things about this clinic and I'm sure you will get an excellent result. Another guy on this board called Apollo89 also had his surgery done there a few months ago in case you weren't aware. Please keep us regularly updated. Cheers.
  13. Work looks really nice.. How much did you charge you per graft?
  14. I was also considering Dr. Kongkiat Laorwong not long ago. Overall, his work looks very good but I also thought some of his hairlines looked a bit too aggressive and unnatural. It's also a shame that his clinic does not offer an airport pick up and hotel booking service etc. This is the norm for clinics in Turkey and Europe and other countries should really start offering such a service. It can really help take away a lot of the stress and hassle associated with travelling to an unfamiliar part of the world for surgery.
  15. Things appear to be on track mate! Looking forward to future updates!
  16. You are really rushing what is a life changing decision and i'm really concerned with how you are talking. What is the urgency to get surgery now? Most people do many months if not years of research before surgery not 3 weeks! Don't make the mistake of making a decision in haste or you will likely regret it
  17. I have not personally had hair transplant surgery to date, but have done quite a lot of research over the years. I would strongly encourage you to do some more research before jumping into a procedure like this. Why are you so keen on these doctors? Why aren't you looking at others with a more proven record of success? Are you trying to get it done 'cheaply'?
  18. A couple of guys on here recently underwent procedures with Dr Cinik.. If you do a search for the key word 'cinik', these and other threads will come up. I believe he operates a tech only clinic and I would steer clear if I were you. Never heard of the other doctor.,, If you insist on going to Turkey Dr Erdogan is recommended on this forum and is an excellent surgeon. You could also consider Dr Keser or HLC Clinic
  19. I hope this works out for you man.. Keep updating us!
  20. I think the angle the photo was taken and the lighting may have made the 6 month result look a lot denser than it really was.. Doesn't make much sense that he can be in a worse position at 11 months than he was at 6 and I'm sure that isn't the case.
  21. Pretty much identical hair loss pattern to me.. almost looks like my head! Thanks for posting and please keep us updated! Very interested to see how this turns out! Good luck
