  1. I'd emailed the doc a few times in the previous 6 months.
  2. I can't speak for Tom but I can understand why he would prefer your friend's Dad to email. It's more efficient for the Doc to ask for emails/photos before inviting anyone in. If someone is not a candidate it is far better to spend 5 minutes looking over some photos first instead of blocking out an entire hour for someone who might not even turn up (it happens) or is just not a suitable candidate. The Doc is doing 4 procedures a week lasting anywhere between a half a day to a whole day, seeing 4 people for follow ups and also checking 3 or 4 others who had surgery the day/week previous. That leaves very little time for anything else. After all that he might be lucky to see 2 or 3 prospective patients per week - these being the ones most likely to schedule and already been in contact with the Doc via email.
  3. He can do in person, email, phone...i believe also Skype. There is a long wait for in person (I had to wait 2 months). Best to call the office and speak to Tom.

  5. Looking good now and going to look great in 8 months.
  6. Nice. Looks very similar to how mine did at 2 weeks.
  7. Not looking for an argument but I'm not so sure it is stretched scar. I know he mentions 'scar' but that might be because English is not his first language. The thing is that hairless area was already apparent just after the sutures came out. I'd expect a scar to become apparent over a period of time. Either way, I hope he gets it sorted!

  9. Well it’s 2 months tomorrow and, as most people say, this the lowest point in the process. It has not been too bad overall. Growth I’m only 8.5 weeks out so I can’t really expect to see much but there are some new hairs starting to break out (the fineness of them isn’t really picked up in the photos but I can see them in the mirror. I’d still be amazed if there’s a noticeable change by the end of month 3. Month 4 may be more realistic. Scar No complaints. It’s just a bit pink and I can dispense with the DermMatch if I don’t take the length too low. Numbness None on the right side and only a small amount on the top left. It’s comparable to having a bruise. However, it is only noticeable when shampooing. The recipient area lacks sensation but is otherwise fine. No one at work seems to suspect anything as I have a comparable amount of hair compared to before, just a lot shorter. When you have been through all this to get to this stage it is easy to laugh off any comments. Some have been complimentary. A beard is a good distraction tactic. jinglealltheway - no hats at work. Occasionally wear a baseball cap on weekends. (hair a bit damp in photos)
  10. I know the rates but I'm sworn to secrecy:D...However, another poster who had 2,500 already revealed he paid GBP12,000. Exchange rate is about 1.6 $ to the pound.....$19,200
  11. It usually stops loss rather than bring back hair. It may stop you from going from NW5 to NW6/7 for over 20 years. Who knows. I met someone recently who has been on it since it was FDA approved. He would have been a NW6 or 7 by now (aged late 40s). However, he's probably no worse than a NW3/4. In areas you are slick bald I would not expect any regrowth but in thinning areas where hairs are starting to shrink it is usually more effective.
  12. Nice one mate. You appear to have very similar hair to mine. Maybe slightly less loss and not quite the calibre of mine. Mine is very straight, almost Asian hair... I currently look like your 2 month photo, minus the pimples.
  13. There was a Bernstein study that found that after 9 days the grafts were very secure.
  14. Couldn't have put it better Greatjob. Rob if you really think your result is equal to or better than most of the 'world class surgeons' (as you put it) I suggest you take a more detailed look on the results pages to find out what a ultra refined follicular unit hair transplant actually looks like. Thanks also for your best wishes regarding my and greatjob's strip surgeries and hopes that we do not require any repair sessions. I'd also like to wish you luck that your hairloss doesn't progress much further (noting that you are not on finasteride and appear to have some thinning in the crown and mid section). If it does, I hope you will come back and post your 2nd, 3rd, 4th and maybe 5th FUE session with Health Travel International. Maybe they will be able to find another 6,000 multi-hair grafts hiding in the back of your head somewhere. Failing that, who knows, perhaps we will get to see how good their specialism is in beard and body hair transplants:eek:. In terms of 'slagging off', then look no further than the poster 'Steve' who shared the same IP address with 2 other posters. This may have been plausible but when you look at the evidence: Same IP addresses. Same format profile name 'Name1234'. All 3 posters submitted detailed 'blogs' and detailed clinic photos. At least 2 of the posters had links on the HTI website directing people here (despite the fact poster HTInternational claimed to know nothing of this forum until being alerted to recent posts). The posters have pretty much disappeared into thin air. Classic shill marketing tactics at their finest.
  15. Yes it's possible but it all depends on the donor area and whether the doc thinks it's a good idea to fill in the crown at such a young age an possible progression to NW6/7.
  16. Propecia is a must if you're going to have a HT at 25. You could get one to effectively replace that thinning area. I tried to think of an example and immediately thought of Liam Neeson. EDIT: Here's a good one: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/168258-hair-loss-story-2500-fut-dr-feller.html
  17. Go see the doctors and ask what they can achieve. If this is insufficient for you then maybe you're not a great candidate. However, you could always think about it over a few years. Maybe once you are in your 30s something less than full coverage might be more acceptable to you. I quite like Dr Farjo's words in this video, which you may find useful:
  18. I find it strange that in earlier messages (a few weeks ago) you stated that HTI had little interest in this forum and were notified by patients about my claims. However, when I looked at your website there were 3 or 4 links directing readers to patient blogs on this very website. (These now appear to have been removed). It seems to me - and it is only my opinion - that you did have an interest in 'marketing' HTI through this forum. Perhaps you would have been better off contacting the moderators and asking to be considered for recommendation? Maybe some of your patients would project a better image of HTI if they did not come on to a forum slagging off strip surgery and heavily promoting your clinic. It is not really befitting of a professional organisation. It would also be good if you could confirm if your UK patient advocate is a poster on this forum.
  19. Fair enough but I don't you can categorically say that he would refuse strip to under 30s. In fact, here are 7 examples below. I'm sure the doc would weigh everything up like future hairloss and desire to shave head close etc and recommend one or the other. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/140284-fut-performed-dr-feriduni-nw-ii-anterior-class-n-2411-fu.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/136929-dense-packing-fut-nw-iv-class-n-6790-fu-2-procedures.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/138477-dense-packing-fut-performed-dr-feriduni-nw-class-iv-v-4403-fu.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/161027-dense-packing-follicular-unit-transplantation-performed-dr-feriduni-%96-2570-fu.html http://hairtransplantation.feriduni.com/en/pictures-videos-references/hair-loss-in-men/fut-treatments/fut-2019-fu.html http://hairtransplantation.feriduni.com/en/pictures-videos-references/hair-loss-in-men/fut-treatments/fut-with-2201-fu.html http://hairtransplantation.feriduni.com/en/pictures-videos-references/hair-loss-in-men/fut-treatments/fut-2596-fu.html
  20. You've quoted about 10% of what the doctor says and conveniently left out the rest! I've typed it out: “We try to avoid strip in each case where the patient which has the age younger than 30 years which have some problems from the skin….if we see some problems with the structure of the skin...but in general we say that 30 years is a good age to think about strip or FUE but everybody under 30 is in general a good candidate for an FUE.”

  22. chrisdav - Dr F and Dr B can't be right because Mickey's FUE/FUT thread proved FUE was far superior! You're right and I'm not going to argue anymore. It makes no difference anyway provided readers go to a few decent HTN doctors and get a consensus of opinions. I just worry about people who go to those dodgy clinics like HTI... what's the name of their doctor again?!
  23. >Would FUE be an option at this stage as well? I'd leave that one for Dr Bisanga to answer! >Also, what do you mean by my hair loss being confined Youre losing it in a standard norwood pattern/boundary, i.e. not in random patches or 'diffused' as far as I can tell. It's a lot easier to predict the next areas that will thin and plan accordingly.
