  1. Hey Johnny2000, how is the progress, What has the doctor said?
  2. I"m not sure why my posts are being tagged for moderator approval?
  3. Thanks all. I picked the Dr because of a) I liked his hairline work, the cornerstone for HT's even for high norwoods b) He is highly involved in the procedure, doing both graft scoring and incisions c) He has a lot of patient posted results out there for a few years.
  4. ^Take a look at Alejandro Chueco in Argentina.
  5. Interesting question, I'd try to keep my hairstyle as is (with more hair though), but I'm open to suggestions.
  6. I don't think there's much scabbing because there wasn't much blood. But plenty of crusts from protruding follicles of course. He gave me a white cream, no name on it though. May be the same.
  7. Crazy that Bisanga is only 3 months, Mwamba also has a similar waitlist. Would be interesting to sticky a thread with waitlists for different clinics...
  8. While Aftermath had a great result, that was over 8k grafts focused on the front, it "should" look very good...
  9. ^He has already had an HT I believe.
  10. These photos are from Day 7 postop. On day 8 as per instructions I started massaging the recipient area for the first time, and was surprised to find a...hard crust. I shouldn't have been, but in the mirror it looked like soft, wet tissue, but there's no better way to describe it than a crust. I gently loosened it with Betadine shampoo and my fingertips (make sure to cut your nails). Now over the next week I'll be repeating this everday, in addition to massaging my donor area with Betadine and applying antibiotic creme.
  11. Thanks appreciate the kind words, good correction. Grafts/cm.
  12. 4.6k grafts should give you fantastic hair. Solid NW4 IMO
  13. If funds are limited, I am curious to see Rahal on your shortlist? How about this, homework assignment: come up with 10 FUE surgeons, and tell us their pros and cons.
  14. - I am not sure of the hairline, but the main implanted area drawn out had a density of 45 grafts/cm. 40 grafts/cm behind the original area. - 2 technicians were implanting grafts and a third was assisting them. - I chose Dr L because of a) many patient posted results b) good hairline work c) he does harvesting/incisions - Yes, only patient. - Just took a cab, I don't think I had notified the clinic when I was arriving. - Didn't try the waffles...wasn't sure where to go really.
  15. So who isn't booked out into oblivion?
  16. Thanks all, I will update this thread regularly. Now it is time to watch grass grow...
  17. ^Cast a wider net, and do more research. Lorenzo has a team assist him in harvesting. (Not to criticize him, just a factual statement).
  18. Couto is good, I've been mentioning him for a few years now, but...keep looking, there's more good surgeons.
  19. I'm not saying this to defend Dr Lupanzula, but more of a general point. I think anytime you start appointing a doctor as a "density king" or a "hairline king" or a "temple king"...it's rarely a useful way to think about it. (Although I'm sure it serves the clinic, Rahal is happy to be considered the hairline king). Each case has different demands, and maybe high density is not always the desired endpoint. Let's not make an individual case a microcosm of a clinic's work (true for any clinic IMO, not just Lupanzula).
  20. There is no "unknown" factor truly. Just that his experiences are with patients who speak a different language.
  21. ^Agreed. This is good progress for 4k grafts hairline to crown IMO.
