  1. Howdy. Is this the proscar tablet you're referring to? No, I wouldn't cut it into 3s. A quarter is already a 1.25mg of finasteride dosage. Stick it out to 6 months and you shouldn't see any more shedding. Maybe you were going to lose this hair because it was on the way out. I use propecia. I used to lose so much more hairs before using it. Then used it & was shedding for a while before things stabilised
  2. Yet another dodgy product from the sounds of it. Never heard of it. The only approved products for MPB are Mino & Finasteride
  3. Honestly pal, how is that an issue. Tell the stylist, or don't. It was Johnny B. All the best with your hair. Enjoy!
  4. But UKPatient, if the clicker said 3700 grafts & they doubled some of the single hairs up, why would you be expected to pay for 4505 grafts?? It's 3700 'natural' grafts you're meant to be paying for. A surgeon can't extract 3700, double some of them up & tell you it's now 4500 grafts, pay up please! How is that fair? Maybe someone can shed some light on this. It's not right at all. If you had a 3 hair graft extracted for example and then it was split into 3 singular hairs, they can't count that as 3 grafts!
  5. Good question. I'd like ppl to say it didn't hurt them. You've only just recently had it from looking at your journal? How many days? How you feeling?
  6. I would either do the op a week or two into the holiday or have the op and then go on holiday at another time or vice versa. I would research the doctor extensively. Don't rush. Make sure he's the man. Ask around & send photos & emails for an online consultation. Wish I lived in Vancouver, I know who I'd go to
  7. Maybe go for the front half first. Who's the doctor? That's important
  8. That's right, do run a search and you'll find out only too well why he's not recommended. Don't go to him!!
  9. Dutch

    minoxidil 15%

I used it. Bought it from Dr Lee's website. I wasn't too patient with it & stopped using it. My hairline is too far gone anyway. My friend uses it with very good growth, but where it dripped on his forehead, it damaged the skin & 4-5 tiny bumps are now visible on his forehead
  10. Too early for a transplant. You have decent hair & yes your condition can get much worse over the years, so you need to be ready. Enjoy it for now. You may consider having a transplant on the hairline but you'll always chase the dream. You could end up having a lot of ops if you start too early. Choose a decent surgeon. His staff's communication with you prior to an op is very important
  11. You just said it. You need to relax & be positive! You need to be patient. Many ppl go thro the ugly duckling phase. You have to go down before you go up. Stay strong
  12. You need to find a surgeon with an excellent reputation. You need to trust your doctor. At Hasson & Wong for example, apparently they give you a counter and everytime they reach a 100, you hit the button once and so forth. I'll soon find out I guess
  13. Who did the op if you don't mind me asking? What did the Dr suggest as the plan of action if any?
  14. Be careful & choose wisely! They may be genuine & need a deposit otherwise ppl book their days & then simply just cancel the date. Look at the recommended surgeons on this site. Good luck
  15. You know what, I asked myself the same question. Think of it this way, a car is for one year, two, maybe five or even ten. But a transplant with the right doctor- now that's forever, or at least for a very long time! It's a life time of enjoying looking at yourself in the mirror & feeling good about yourself. I wanted to buy a BMW 330ci but I'd rather spend the ?15 grand on a transplant. A transplant is for EVERY Xmas. Buy a basic car & save for a transplant. I'm definitely boarding the plane & changing my life forever.
  16. Interesting. I might try to watch it at work, I get in at 7am. But I don't want to draw more attention to myself since I usually pretend to be stretching while I'm actually doing scalp exercises lol:D
  17. Would you be able to take a few photos of your current progress & confirm how long ago you had the op? 6k is a large number & shouldve filled your head nicely, but obviously with a bit of see through
  18. That's right pal, surgery is too early for you as per the advise given above. You'll need to see where you're heading with the loss first. You're very young for surgery. I was in the same boat, very young & receding & panicking. Keep using the foam if it's working. When you're about 25-27, then consider getting an op maybe. For now, you can try to hide the corners with the existing hair. Good luck
  19. Hello mate, the only surgeon worth looking at and who is recommended on this website is Farjo. Not sure if the does FUE though. To get a consultation is a 6 months wait because he is popular. Anyone else here in London is a joke. Don't be scared to travel.
  20. Like you said, it's certainly not cheap but having a great result from a skilled surgeon is value for money in itself. You'd only go once or twice maybe depending on your hairloss & expectations. Don't let price & distance stop you either. I live in London and will be visiting Dr Hasson of Hasson & Wong this summer. Do your research on here & YouTube & you'll hear about excellent surgeons like the above gents. If I'm allowed to talk about it, the price per graft is $5 for the first 2000 grafts then it drops to $3 after if you have over 2000 grafts. That's decent value. Do your research. Keep reading. Avoid Bosley & Armani!!!!!
  21. They don't do research & as per the above, they choose whoever charges the highest, like Armani. Gordon Ramsey went to Armani very recently
  22. Hello pal, get back on propecia. That's the brand name of the finestride. Yes it does decrease a bit of libido in a lot of men from my research. I take it & it affects me a tiny bit but I can definitely perform. I only take it every other day though as a precaution. As for mino, it makes the scalp slightly red & I found it annoying to apply, causes white flakes & itches a bit. I didn't see improvement, so I stopped using it. My friend suffered problems in the trouser's department with propecia, but he finds mino effective. But at the same time, it caused small bumps on his forehead. Ask a hair surgeon for advise & to look at your scalp & sides. A general doctor won't be the right person for advise, or at least that's what I found when I asked 3 GPs. Send some pics of your scalp & sides and a lot of ppl here will point you in the right direction.
  23. Yeah it's a shame his website got shut down. I received an email warning to get rid of all the products that were being sold on Dr Lee's website. My friend used to buy the 15% mino lotion & the 5% mino solution. But the lotion caused 4-5 small bumps to appear on his forehead when it dripped there. The dermatologist said he can't do anything. So another doc needs to be seen
