  1. You mentioned top FUT surgeons in my opinions and not FUE. Are you looking towards a strip surgery?
  2. I wouldnt say that Dr. Karadeniz is the best Turkish HT surgeon however comparing him with the other two mentioned surgeons. I strongly advise you to consider him for two reason. He does the work himself and works on only one surgery a day with full focus. Also he is very passionate and into details when it comes to consultations. His English language is well understood and outstanding.
  3. Also among the doctors with high reputation I heard of Dr. Serkan Aygin. He is somehow similar with Acar however has more popularity in our region. You may check him out.
  4. Dear NAZ My honest opinion is that the best around is Dr. Koray Erdogan as he is considered the king of FUE however there are other two names I can recommend 1) Dr. Emre Karadeniz, he is a hands on doctor and very passionate. He does one surgery a day and intelligent with great English language which makes it easy to communicate with. 2) Dr. Leven Acar, He is the most popular doc here in the middle east, his work is outstanding and witnessed live results most of them blow minding. He is located in Cosmedica clinic. However you should get the VIP package in order to have the incision slits done by him, avoid the gold package as his technicians will handle you and he will supervise. Welcome to Istanbul
  5. I saw Dr. Cinik work and in my opinion is more oriented to technician work, while Dr. Bhatti is from a completely different league. His results are outstanding and he is very passionate in his work plus has great communication skills with the rate of $1.5 per graft only. What I like about him is that he is good in both FUE plus BHT in case donor supply is limited. My advice is to purchase a ticket to India and get yourself fixed with the Guru.
  6. It was really outstanding. That Doctor is a strip guru and very careful while performing any surgery. I can say one of the best strips I had, very gentle and so good in suturing. My scar wasnt really easy to resolve.
  7. Well that time I didn't want to do a major work plus Erdogan price was higher and wasn't able to do it in summer due to the long que he has so I shifted to Dr. Hakan who was available in the same week and managed to do the job with less price Euro 2 per graft inclusive all. Dr. K was introduced to me by the famous hair transplant mentor Joe to examine my scar and see what can be done. So Dr. K advised strongly to do scar revision as FUE into scar wont be effective due to the depth of my scar tissue so I submitted myself the next day and went for surgery. Now my scar relatively still visible but waaaaay better than before. If I wanted by that time to restore the rest my hair in thinning areas with a major surgery then I would go for Dr. Koray Erdogan or Dr. Bhatti. They are my top choices from their outstanding results and feedbacks. Most likely I lean towards Dr. Bhatti due to his talent in utilizing both hair grafts and BHT.
  8. When it comes to details and professional advising then I will go for Dr. Ali Karadeniz. I met him and had scar repair with him. He speaks fluent English does the extractions himself and receives one patient a day only. Im so comfortable with him if considering Turkey however Im more into Dr. Bhatti in India for my future HT. If you consider price and great hospitality then you can try Hakan Doganay however I heard that he extracts only 500 grafts and leaves rest to the technicians to do however you never know maybe he has good ones now. Also he doesnt speak English which will be somehow hard to communicate with. He charges EURO 2 per graft. But the king of FUE and HT with no doubt will remain Dr. Koray Erdogan, he is in an international level does manual FUE and got outstanding technicians however since he opened up a new gigantic clinic I doubt that he can follow up with all the operations done in one day same time with him. He is the most expensive above I mentioned EURO 2.5 per graft. Also his English is superb really.
  9. In my own opinion, FUT is not a good choice for someone heading to NW6, its an old fashion technique and maybe best option for Docs who arent that good in FUE. FUE these days has developed a lot and has great yield and if you ever decided to quit the battle you can simple shave your head without dealing with a funny scar back of your head just like what we have unfortunately. I strongly recommend you to check out Dr. Bhatti. He is extremely talented and have seen real results from him and I really love his approach and philosophies. Plus his rates are outstanding and so reasonable. He is a doctor who really knows how to listen plus he knows how to use Beard hair very well as you may need it in the future when you run out of grafts in your donor area. So he would be a great choice for long term planning.
  10. The only issue with Dr. Keser as he was rejected by HTN was because of his manual extractions outside universal donor area. I hope he resolved this issue as it was quite serious though. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/139030-potential-recommendation-dr-abdulmuttalip-keser-turkey.html PS. I have never heard of Dr. Resul Yaman!!! Has anyone experienced his work?
  11. Glad to hear that. Its good to educate many international patients about Turkish HT. It could be state of the art however these package hospitals fool around many of them by advertising their accommodation and VIP services where the surgeon is almost unknown. Many bad names came to my ears from Arab victims such as Estethica. There are top class doctors but quiet expensive for a Turk citizen such as Koray Erdogan (KING OF FUE) which is only 2.5 euro per graft. However there are some good clinics which charges 1500 euro per session with good technicians such as Serkan Aygin and I heard Cosmedica from some few friends. The problem is there are no strict regulation in Turkey that seperates the good from bad. However keep it up TURK in order to clean the Turkish HT image which was ruined by some of these unethical clinics. Hope HTN helps to bring more names into the recommended list from Turkey especially Istanbul. By the way enlight us more about HLC clinic. Do they have a branch in Istanbul? I have heard that they charge 3.5 euro per graft!!! which is 1 euro more expensive than the great Koray Erdogan! However It seems like a hidden gem based on your recommendation!
  12. Dear Turk Merhaba, I like your message as you mentioned good names. However what do you think of Dr. Serkan Aygen. I have seen loads of outstanding live results, also one of the good ex technicians of one of the recommended Turkish doctors in this community worked with Serkan lately and said loads of great stuff about him. My cousin has reached to 9 months post OP and amazed me with the quality of his transplant, I was blown away really. However he insisted that Dr. Serkan works on him personally.
  13. Dear vmoney For being a half Turkish. I have loads of friends and family members in Istanbul. Yes I do agree that Koray Erdogan is greatest HT surgeon in whole Turkey. A very intelligent international HT figure however his price sometimes is quite high comparing to other surgeons. My second choice will be Dr. Serkan Aygin. He is extremely talented as I have seen outstanding results face to face. I was surprised and astonished. Almost more than 5 live results. He charges only 1500 Euro and will utilize beard hair as well if necessary for first session.
  14. Yes indeed, you will definitely get worser side effects from Finasteride if you already had side effects from Saw Palmetto as its a harsher 5-alpha reductase Inhibitor that's why it works better when it comes to results. I luckily didnt get sides from Standardized Saw Palmetto extract 320mg a day but I had horrible sides from Finasteride although I had amazing hair results from it By the way, what was your saw palmetto dosage???
  15. Bravo. Do you get your temporary SMP (tricopigmentation) ink and tools from Beauty Medical Italy? Good job and I can see how SMP could save us a lot of fiber consumed to conceal big areas. I love the logo, reminds me of James Bond :-)
  16. I will give you my honest opinion, My EXs used to call me Mr. Dandruff after breaking up with me so it was really an issue with me lol. I started to have dandruff since I started my Minoxidil regime back in 2007. I used all type of shampoos from Ketoconazole (Nizoral 2%) to Salicylic Acid (Alpecin Double Effect) to Zinc pyrithione (Selsun Blue). Ketoconazole seems to be the strongest however its not that safe to be used for long term basis plus it changes the texture and color of hair and it may affect the liver with time. The only thing worked for me was this ingredient (Piroctone Olamine), its an anti-fungal ingredient to treat dandruff caused by Seborrhoeic Dermatitis. Its a very effective ingredient for mild to moderate dermatitis. Perhaps not as effective as e.g. Ketoconazole but its also a milder ingredient, effective for all but the most severe breakout. Im using this brand which is affordable plus has many advantages (soap and alkali free). Its called (SEBAMED ANTI DANDRUFF). Regarding Minoxidil, I strongly advice you using the liquid formula as its much effective because it contains PG. I started to apply 2ml in the night once a day instead of 1ml in day and night which made me get rid of the itching sensation. Dr. Bernstein made a paper about the difference between solution and foam and how solution is way effective. Video: Which Is Better: Rogaine Foam Or Liquid? | Bernstein Medical Hope this helps buddy. Good Luck.
  17. Great yield for only 3000 grafts in such a large empty frontal area. Dr. Hakan got great talent in maximizing yield with choi implanter while most of top surgeons these days using blades and lateral incisions to achieve better density and better yield consistency. Keep it Dr. Hakan.
  18. Dr. Hakan you are indeed a life saver. What a big change with the help of beard hair. I think I have met this guy in the hospital on my way out on the day I had my surgery in 2013. You are the Euro-Asian version of Dr. Umar. I really respect surgeons who take hard cases and try to fix them with whatever possible.
  19. I meant 0.3cm not mm. It was wrong typed. It would be an invisible one if it was 0.3mm though lol
  20. Dr. K told me that he performed normal closure and not trichophytic to avoid any tension that would cause any stretch. He told me to expect a scar around 0.3cm after staples removed which is much better than the 1cm ugly scar I had haha. He also offered me another strip revision in order to diminish the scar with a trichophytic one however to me NO MORE STRIP. I had enough HAHA. I would probably FUE some beard hair into it whenever I feel like shaving my head in the future however for now Im extremely satisfied :-)
  21. Dr. K actually followed H&W approach in strip revisions and used staples which are much better than sutures and leave less marks and dots plus easier to remove and feels more comfortable. I feel so inspired whenever I see the pictures of my ugly scar removed
  22. Joe, Im so happy and proud of your affliations list. You managed to add the greatest SMP doctor to it. I really wish Dr. Karadeniz will soon introduce Milena Lardi's SMP service in his clinic in Istanbul as an option for his potential patients. This would be such a great idea. I really wish you will look into that
  23. All what I can add to help is that temporary SMP does not really fade in scars. I had mine done back in 2013 and now after 2 years the ink is still there although the ink was imported from Beauty Medicals and used at ASMED clinic Istanbul officially with by a technician trained by Milena Lardi. To me its an advantage of course however I don't know how will it work on a normal scalp. I was told by the clinic that the ink will fade in 6 months-1 year in my scar area but surprisingly it lasted 2 years and its still there, Joe took pictures of my scar removed and will post it soon.
  24. Impressive results Dr. Hakan, I really loved the idea of using some BHT along with scalp grafts to get the wanted density as beard hair is thicker and could fill up hard areas like crown and mid scalp. You are indeed the best BHT doctor I have seen so far in Turkey and the Middle East. Keep up the good job.
  25. I really get inspired whenever I see a beard hair FUE into scalp successful results. Cant imagine that the beard I am shaving everyday and complain of every morning could really save my donor one day and offer me around 2000 grafts more. Wish you all the best NWsixseven. Keep us updated with your clear photos :-)
