  1. I too look forward to seeing your pics as this is a great number of grafts. I too am a diffuse thinner and had all my 4505 grafts planted around exsisting hair by Dr Hasson and am almost 2 months post op.
  2. Hey hope your well. I still have some shock loss on the sides ( above the ears) where the scar shows through however i have played around with some toppik here and covers the job nicely. When are you planning to have it done? Perhaps if your in London at that time i can meet with you to discuss anything you wanted to know and also give you a chance to look at my hair!! Regarding which Dr in my opinion they are equal. Perhaps you should review both Drs results and make a desicion based on who you feel a gut feeling towards.
  3. Hey Dutch Been thinking about using the foam but dont think i will bother as i think it is a long term commitmen plus when y HT grows in i dont think i will really need Rogainet and my main reason for embarking on the HT journey was to be able to literally "wash and go" without having to worry about my hair etc. I think i will be just fine with taking Fin once a day. Pinkness almost away ( only a few traces of pinkness dotted around). No soreness at all anywhere donor area feels fine perhaps a few little sensations from time to time but nothing major. Shedding has halted i would say ( it appears that i held onto quite alot of my grafts). I will be posting 2 month post op pics at the beginning of every month as i had my procedure done on February 3rd.
  4. Hey thinking of using the foam and am 6 weeks post op would it be ok to use it now? and can you use it all over your scalp or is it meant to be used mainly for the crown?
  5. Regardig the foam do you have to use it for ever? i am 6 weeks post op and thinking of using it does it give you an initial shed? and then continue to give sheds?
  6. Hey Joe Thanks for taking the time to upload these very inspiring what a great guy!!. Joe would you say i had similar extent of loss to this paitent? As i recieved 1000 grafts more than him i am excited to see my results growing in.
  7. I too have been getting the odd pimple and i am about 6 weeks post op. I was advised i could squeeze them and then wash my hair to clean the area. The pimples bleed a little after i squeeze them but heal up pretty much straight away. I wasnt aware this was the sign on new growth.
  8. Hi Yes i followed the post op instructions as from Dr Hassons clinic with my first hair wash ( with a cup with water and shampoo) from day 2 all my scabs came off when they should have etc. Its a little hard to be 100% sure what is native hair and what are grafts but my original hairline was patchy and broken in the centre and now its one even line in the centre so that is most definitely grafts could i not just be one of the lucky ones that retains some grafts?? I am full of positivity regarding my HT so anything is possible...
  9. Hey wanted to ask regarding shedding in recipient area. When shedding occurs ( as it is for me at 6 weeks post op) is it common for some grafts to be completely intact and for some areas to be completely bald? for example the grafts in my hairline seemed to have stayed at the moment but a couple of areas behind hairline have no grafts or no sign of native hair growing back so all you can see is scalp without any activity? The areas where i had some pimples that have now gone also have no activity ( gratfs or native hair begining to grow through) not majorly concerned but more of a case of wanting to be told that others expreicenced this during shedding. Any feedback would be appreciated.
  10. Hi The pinkness has settled down alot but not completely gone. The areas where the grafts have shed is where the pinkness is more obvious as there is no hair to shadow it etc. My shockloss at the sides is still there and at present is same as it was 1 month post op. To be honest the above is my personal situation and as everyone heals differently then i would advise not banking on no one noticing. 6 weeks post op and for me and its very obvious there is "stuff" going on with my hair but being only 6 weeks post op is really the very beginning stages of what is a lengthy process. I think ones personal attitude plays a great part in the healing process, as i chose an amazing doctor i am not really all that concerned with how it all looks as over time it will all grow in so it is what it is and patience is the key.
  11. Wow 4700 grafts cant wait to see how this progresses. I too had HT with Dr Hasson 4500 and am also a diffuse thinner. I am 6 weeks post op and bored already!!!!
  12. I too was thinking of using the foam. I am currently 5 weeks post op. However as far as i am aware if you stop using it you will loose any hair that have regrown can anyone shed any light on this?
  13. This video is awesome and also a great motivation for anyone like myself whos only 1 month post op. The music is good keep it!!
  14. Added 1 month post op pictures. Please feel free to comment...
  15. Hey Thanks for info. Yes i am treating my hair as i normally would by washing it in that manner. I am now just getting on with life and not really thinking about my HT and will give it some more though at around the 5 month mark where hopefully i will see some improvement. Having buzzed it down and seeing the outline of the hairline etc i looking to keep it short as i love this style on me but havent been able to pull it off due to my receding hairline before HT so happy days ahead!!!
  16. Thanks Guys It means lot to have the encouragment as going through the whole process can at times feel you are on your own. I am 1 month post op today so will be posting pics over the weekend. It seems that i still have alot of the grafts left ( i would say about 70% left) but perhaps these may well shed over the next few weeks. Anyone know if there is a time limit when its safe to say that if the grafts are still in place then they will not shed???
  17. Hey I also had surgery with Dr Hasson in Febuary 4505 grafts. To be honest the only way to play it is to be patient. You are 4 months post op and the growth can still mature even after 12 months so at 4 months you should not expect too much. Dr Hasson is one of the top doctors in the world so you have nothing to worry about. What i am doing at just now is to take each day at a time and i wait until i am 6 months too see some decent growth. Be strong and be patient you will have great looking hair coming for you,
  18. HI Yes as far as i believe foliculitis can be beacuse the hair folicile underneath gets trapped which causes some distress on the surface, or bacteria can get into the folicule. in my case which was a mild one it cleared up on its own within 4 days i helped it along by placing a hot flannel over the area few times a day. In more severe cases i think antibiotics are needed. You should always contact your surgeon with any concerns so they can advise you. Apparently grafts survive mild foliculitis. I think it can be dangerous to seek opinions from non qualified people or read merely speculation opinions regarding foliculitis. I believe that you should follow your surgeons advice and opinions. My surgeon was Dr Hasson and am happy that i chose him. I am now 1 month post op and begining to relax and just wait for growth.
  19. Hi It was a mild case of foliculitis. Nothing serious. This can happen to people who have not had a hair transplant. It usually goes away after a week or so by itself. I used a hot flannel on the area 3 times per day which drew the pimples out. The scabbing comes from the open pimple. I was concerned that i would have lost grafts due to this however i was assured this is not the case and that the pimples shift the hair out but they grow back. Its pretty scary to have gotten this however with some reassurance and correct instructions on what to do its all good.
  20. Hi I get my 5mg generic Finastaride from a doctor that is recommended on here by Spex Dr John Ashcroft who is 100% genuine. I split it into 4 pieces and take one piece a day its easier that way. i think you can also split it into 5 pieces. As it is generic it is very very cheap. I think the Dr only supplies to UK patients there is a link to his prices and info on the forums somewhere. Hope this helps.
  21. hi Thanks for the input guys. It looks like a mild case of foliculitis as there is a pimple which is red and angry looking with a white head and the scabs that you can see are from a pimple that burst my main concern is that the grafts around this area have shed and thats the only shedding of grafts i have had to date ( 16 days post op) so i hope they havent been lost due to the pimples etc any input on this would be great as being newly post op i have the anxiety of loosing grafts that i am sure you can all identify with
  22. Hey Guys 16 days post op here and have developed 3 small scabs directly behind hairline. These scabs are definately different to the ones that have all fallen off whilst washing my hair and massaging scalp with vitiman E oil. The ones i have present are rock hard and tender to touch, they have a throbbing sensation in them and they look angry and red and one of them had a white head around it. As i am only 16 days post op i am obviously anxious that perhpas a slight infection has occured i have contacted my Doctors office however there is a time difference and its the weekend so was hoping any guys/Docs on here could advise? I have already taken a course of antibiotiocs for first 5 days post op. Not sure if something like antibiotic cream would help and i am guessing you can only get this is not available as a non- prescription ( i live in London)
  23. hey, Never used toppik before so wanted any advice on the following: is the spray attachment you can purchase any use? same for the hairline comb applicator? what colour to go for eg: same shade as you hair or lighter/darker? i have read that the old spray applicator was more effective than the current new one? Thank in advance,
  24. Hey I had similar concerns. I am now 9 days post op from 4500 grafts strip with Dr Hasson. The best thing to do is follow the instructions that you were given as they were written by the doctor for good reason. Heal well.
  25. Take a look at my pics from my surgery with Dr Hasson last week. As there office is on holiday i will receive more pics taken by the doctor himself post and pre op. I had 4505 to rebuild hairline and then fill in behind. Will have a more detailed account when i receive details from Dr's office.
