Wanted some good advice and tips or and links to help with taking post op pics as cant seem to get decent ones regarding what lighting to use etc. Want to take pics to document on here for you guys to see as i know when researching etc it helps to see pics so help is welcome.
  4. Hi thanks for your reply. I fly home on sunday but to be honest i am cool about swelling or how i look as it is what it is and if people want to stare at the airport then they are welcome i am too happy to care about other people staring !! your grafts looked very nice and clean also what stage are you at now? Thanks
  5. Hey Buddy Thanks for your reply much aprreciated. Out of touch with the human race in this hotel !!! i will be using special shampoo given to me by Dr Hasson ( non medicated) . Thanks for tip for rinsing. I guess everyone goes through this stage of fear of loosing grafts i think when you have lost any hair through MPB you want to protect any grafts like they are your family ... did you have same concern regarding having not many scabs?
  6. Hey guys I am almost likely suffering from those post nerves after HT (its day 2). Still holed up in my hotel room waiting to return to London on Sunday and am very much looking forward to being around friends and family etc. I have noticed that i do not have a great deal of scabs in my recipient area and it still looks pretty clean so my concern is that i am afraid to start to follow docs instructions for day 3 which is tomorrow and gently begin to dab on shampoo and rinse from a cup ( gently being the operative word here) in fear of harming the grafts as from what i believe the scabs are natures way of protecting the incision sights and without a great deal of scabs present in this area i am afraid any rinsing etc would damage the grafts as they do not have the protection of a scab therfore making them more vunreable to any rinsing etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated . I realise that many different docs/patients have there opinion on what day shampooing/rinsing should begin from . My instructions from Dr Hassons office is to begin the process of gently rinsing/shampooing on day 3. I have 100% belief in Dr Hasson and his staff and my concern is only regarding there not being enough scabs to protect the grafts. I dont want to open a debate on what day shampooing should take place. Thanks guys and i guess its occasions like this when support from fellow patients comes into play.
  7. Wow what a day had my surgery at 8.30 am this morning and finished at 7.30 pm. Was predicted 4000 grafts and managed to get 4505. Dr hasson said my scalp was quite tight ( i was a tad slack with my scalp exercises) so wasnt sure if we would get the full 4000 however he said my density was brilliant and and was over 100 cm2 . Am now back in hotel bit tired and groggy but have to say the hasson and wong office is full of amazingness !!! When i am back in London i will attempt to put a blog with picturess etc not all that good with that kind of thing but will give it a go. Very surreal feeling to actually have had my HT. Peace
  8. After few years of research etc etc the time has come to finally have my HT. Flying from London today so bit of a journey but all worth it!!! Seems very surreal to be actually doing this very exciting but bit scary too. will be sure to upload pics etc as i know from my research that honest pics and blogs are great means of research. Wish me luck
  9. HI Due to have surgery with Dr Hasson begining of next month 4000 grafts predicted. Couple of questions: 1) In anyones experience is the predicted number of grafts given through online consultations and pictures pretty much accurate ? What has been your experience? 2) Regarding the number of 1,2,3 and 4 hairs breakdowns does this depend on your hair texture and how much you have etc? ( i am a diffuse thinner ) is there a common link to what yield people have regarding these numbers? Thankyou.
  10. hi welcome to the forum. I too am from Uk and have been researching on here for 2 years and am booked in with Dr Hasson in 3 weeks time for a transplant. I would reccomend emailing spex (you can find his details on here) as he was my first point of contact as he sure as hell knows his stuff and gives unbiased realistic advice, and it is a MUST to do your own research for around a year plus to be armed with the knowledge which will make you make the right decision when choosing who to have your transplant with as you should feel 100% comfortable with your Dr of choice which comes from research research research hope this is of some help. Also i notice you mention that the clinics you have chosen are "very cheap" or "cheap price" This is one of the first things i learnt that price and distance should not be a factor when choosing your doctor. i am flying from London to Canada however in my opinion you pay for what you get.
  11. Hey guys counting down the days to finally have my HT with Dr Hasson first week in Febuary as i am from London was looking for any last minute advice regarding travelling etc. Also i have been estimated at 4000 grafts is the Dr usually spot on with graft estimation based on pictures alone or has anybody been given more or less grafts than predicted ??
  12. Good luck with this.. Great way to kick in the new year i say!! i am booked with Dr Hasson in end of january for 4000 grafts also coming from London look forwrad to seeing your pics.

  15. Thanks for the information. Very helpfull. Can i ask is there any difference between generic fin and proscar?
  16. Hi I was recommended on another hair loss forum to purchase generic fin from a a doctor names John Ashcroft in the U.K anyone have any information on this as it is always advised to be careful when ordering meds online??? Thanks in advance
  17. hi Thanks for reply. The hat looks pretty good actually. How was your experience going through airport security ?
  18. Hey.. First post on this forum but been a follower on here for around 2 years. Booked HT for Febuary with Dr Hasson 4000 + predicted. As i live in the U.K was wondering if anyone had any pics of the kind of hats that H & W supply or indeed any other hair clinics?? Or what are your recommendations for hats? i was thinking of a flat cap ( as in grandad cap made cool by beckham and guy ritchie !!) Feels very surreal to be writing this thread and cant believe it is me that is flying to Canada for HT... Its been a long time coming and i shall in turn keep a blog of pics and details etc etc.
